Best Writer
think about a time in your life where you tried to persuade someone to do something
My instructions are to think about a time in your life where you tried to persuade someone to do something. Keep in mind that this doesn’t have to be a situation that was a full-blown argument—it can be something as simple as convincing a friend to go to a specific restaurant for lunch—and it doesn’t have to be a situation where you “won” the other person over either.
Before you begin writing, please review the discussion rubric below to make sure you fulfill all of the required tasks.
When you’ve come up with the moment, write two fully developed paragraphs in addition to your introduction explaining it to your classmates. In the first paragraph, describe the moment of persuasion so that your instructor and peers can “see” it. In the second paragraph, explain why you felt like that moment of persuasion was either successful or unsuccessful. What strategies or techniques did you use to try to get the person to side with you?
Freedom of Speech
Free speech is always an important liberty for us as Americans. But, there are times when we question how free someone’s speech should be. For example: Colin Kaepernick kneeling during the National Anthem, someone burning the American flag in protest or Edward Snowden leaking government information. So here is the question….
Should there be limits on Freedom of Speech?
We currently limit specific types of speech. Name one type of speech that is limited. Should we keep these limits in place? Should we further limit this freedom?

Your Bill of Rights
Please read about Federalism and Civil Liberties which are the file I attached below. After reading, you should have a pretty good idea about some of the powers that the government has and doesn’t have. The Bill of Rights is essentially a bill of limits. It outlines things that the government cannot do.
In this assignment, you will need to tell me which two limits from the Bill of Rights are most important to you and why. You should have at least one paragraph per limit that is discussed. I will be looking for the following in each paragraph:
1) a clear and accurate explanation of the liberties you’ve chosen
2) an example of how each liberty applies to your life
3) logical reasoning for this to be important to you

CHALLENGE AHEAD.
AS CHAIR OF FRONT’S JOB EVALUATION COMMITTEE, YOU CALLED A

CORDIAL MANNER IN WHICH SHE GREETS AND ACCOMMODATES FRONT’S CUSTOMERS AND
VENDORS, WHO FREQUENTLY VISIT THE PLANT. THEY FEEL THAT REBECCA PROJECTS A
POSITIVE IMAGE OF THE COMPANY.
TO BEGIN THE MEETING, YOU SAY THE FOLLOWING:
(FILL IN WHAT YOU WOULD SAY.)
BUT BEFORE YOU CAN FINISH, PETER INTERRUPTS: “I SUGGEST WE
START WITH REBECCA.” MARGO NODS IN AGREEMENT. WHEN YOU REGAIN YOUR COMPOSURE,
YOU QUIETLY BUT FIRMLY ASSERT:
