Education in the United States

The Prompt: In light of the new and continuing challenges facing education (fires, this pandemic, persistent racial, gender, and economic inequality, an evolving technology landscape, growing existential threats such as climate change, etc), what is one major change the education system needs to make in order to meet one or some of these changing demands?
Using current research, explain the background of the issue your paper is addressing, and why this issue is a problem. Then, make a reasoned argument for the change you are proposing.

Write a rationale (reason) for your study. Discuss the indicators that your children are interested in this topic, the characteristics of the group of children for whom you will plan it, the resources available in the community and among families of the children, and your own interest related to the topic.

For this part of planning your integrated study, you will use the forms below to help you think through these planning skills.
1. Write a rationale (reason) for your study. Discuss the indicators that your children are interested in this topic, the characteristics of the group of children for whom you will plan it, the resources available in the community and among families of the children, and your own interest related to the topic. (This is your reason for wanting to teach about this topic.)
2. Identify the broad goals of your study. These are broad statements of your desired end goals that cannot be accomplished in a single activity. (They are not specific learning objectives.) My goals are to help children learn to…
3. Research your topic. Do a web search to learn about your topic. Find accurate, up-to-date information to share with the children. You may want to find scholarly articles about the topic that are written for both young children and older children to use as resource information.
4. Write your big ideas. What important understandings do you want your children to learn through this study? Your big ideas should be written in simple language a child can understand.
Once you have done this, create a Brainstorming Web to record your ideas for many different possible activities related to your topic. Think of as many ideas as possible. You don’t have to use them all! You will be using some of these ideas in future modules to create lesson plans for physical development, communication, arts, and inquiry curriculum areas. You might find some great ideas by referring to the Indiana Foundations.
Use the forms below to record your thoughts and ideas. Submit them for this assignment.

Risk Analysis and Capital Structuring

The board of directors of your for-profit hospital has been approached by a nonprofit hospital to consider a joint venture to take over their business resulting in a larger for-profit medical center status. You have been asked to construct a financial risk analysis for this conversion. Using course materials, including your text and the Internet, and principles of financial risk analysis, evaluate the considerations that a nonprofit hospital has in considering the conversion to a for-profit hospital.
Consider the following options in support of your decision:
Projected profit and loss statements
Retention of estimates
Selected cost of capital
Other spreadsheets and calculations you feel are needed to support your decision
Consider the following topics in your discussion:
Key characteristics of nonprofit hospitals that differ from for-profit hospitals
Include the characteristics required to maintain a nonprofit status.
The need for shifts in corporate structure required for survival in this environment, including safety net requirements and responsibilities
Potential reasons driving both organizations and considerations between an outright merger versus a corporate alliance or joint venture.
Assessment of the payer mix, financial benchmarks of nonprofit and for-profit hospitals
Consider uncompensated care burdens within the for-profit model
Proffer a decision based on your analysis of whether the organization should convert, create a joint venture, or decline the offer with rationale and justification.
*****Your paper must include your financial information derived in your risk analysis as an appendix included after the Reference page*******
The body of the resultant paper should be 5–7 pages. Applicable spreadsheets should be attached to support your decisions. The assignment should include at least 5 relevant peer-reviewed academic or professional references published within the past 5 years.

Collecting Evidence at Multiple Sites

Scenario*: You are a detective for the local police. You have some training in computer forensics.
The primary suspect in a murder investigation works at a large local firm. He is reported to have two computers at work in addition to one at home. His company has issued him a cellphone for business use, but you do not know if this is the only cellphone he has or uses.
You are the first responder to both scenes. [Review Discussion 2 – Multiple Digital Crime Scenes]
So, what do you do? To get the discussion started:
What are the least harmful ways to technically engage with the scene at the suspect’s office ? the scene at the suspect’s home?
What obstacles can you expect to encounter at the suspect’s office? At the suspect’s home?
In what ways does your engagement alter the digital evidence?
With three computers, the chances are pretty good that at least one of them will be turned on and one of them will be turned off. What are the risks of turning a computer on or off at the scene?
Should you take a disk image at the scene? Or, should you take the computer to your lab to make the image? What tools would you use to take an image?
What should you do with digital devices other than computers which you encounter?
What’s happening in the news right now to support your viewpoint?
Be prepared to both defend your position and challenge the position of others.
* This scenario used Case Project 4-1 (Nelson and others, 2015, p. 180) as its starting point.

Case Study- Southwest Airline and Tim Hortons.

Please complete the following case studies. Instructions are attached.
Note that responses to these cases require significant effort.
1 – Case 16: Southwest Airlines
2 – Case 19: Tim Hortons Inc.
Each case requires 7 well-developed paragraphs and should follow the following structure:
Executive Summary (6-7 sentences)
Paragraph 1: Intro
Paragraph 2: Situation Analysis
Paragraph 3: SWOT Analysis
Paragraph 4: Strategy Formulation
Paragraph 5: Strategy Implementation
Paragraph 6: Closing

it’s the topic. the brainstorm (with 15 bullet point) and the thesis.

PLEASE READ ALL OF THIS COMPLETELY AND FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS WELL.

You have to choose 1 of these 3 stories that I will put in the files and do an essay. In this order i need just the topic which is different than the title (title is just the name given to the story, essay article, etc. the topic is what the story is about) the brainstorm (with 15 bullet points) and the thesis, nothing else.

here explain well how to do the topic, the brainstorm and the thesis because the teacher is too crabby … these 3 things are very important and the teacher specified that it has to be as clear and short as possible, for example, a topic can be “cook”, and the 15 bullet point of the brainstorm must also be as short as possible, such as
-cooking can help you to be more independent.
-cooking can help you save money.
-cooking can help you eat healthier.
-cooking can help you impress people.
After those 15 bullet points, the thesis is created (the brainstorm is supposed to help you do the thesis), which has to be 3 of those 15 points, said together and as clear and short as possible, because then in the full essay, you have to write 3 paragraphs of those 3 points that will be chosen and demonstrate them, for example the thesis can be “cooking can help you save money, be more independent and eat healthier”.

another topic for example can be “exercise”
bullet points can be for example:
-exercise can help you lose weight.
-exercise can help you release stress.
-exercise can help you sleep better.
-exercise can help you get more muscle.
And the thesis can be “exercising can help you lose weight, release stress and sleep better.”

below I will explain what to do in the full essay in another order.

You have to
choose 1 of these 3 stories that I will put in the files and do an essay, this
essay IS NOT TO SUMMARIZE this story, it is to look for a topic that you want
to talk about in regard to or in relation to the story you choose, the teacher specify
that a title created by us is needed, not a title like “ essay about (the
story in question) ”, in the first paragraph a hook is needed in the first
sentence of the parragraph, then 3 sentences that summarize the story that has been chosen from the book, then 3 sentences about the information of the author of the story, then the topic, then finish the paragraph with the thesis, the thesis is the MOST IMPORTANT (which is what will be talked about in the next
3 paragraphs), then the next 3 paragraphs is to demonstrate your point about
the thesis, it is recommended to look for support on the internet in
this part of demonstrating the thesis statement because 3 cited work is needed
(not counting the one in the book) the teacher says 1 cited work for each
paragraph, and the last paragraph is the conclusion that would be the topic and
thesis but with other words.

The essay must be at least 3 pages, not counting the page of cited work.
