Write a new Lesson plan that focuses on “academic literacy skill that supports language or language and communication in the Birth – Kindergarten age range.”

One was already made but it did not focus on an academic literacy skill. I will attach both.

Select an academic literacy skill that supports language or language and communication in the Birth – Kindergarten age range. This should be a direct outgrowth of an Individual Education Plan (I.E.P.) or a related IEP goal. For a non IEP student, you should address a student’s area of deficit for which you would want to create a goal (RTI or pre-referral). If you do not have a particular child in mind, you will be given a sample IEP from which to work and develop as rationale for the lesson plan.
In addition, explain how mastery of this skill supports another curricular area (mathematics, social studies, science, fine or gross motor, communication, etc.).
Prior to beginning instruction, obtain or collect baseline data (background information) on the student’s current level of ability on this targeted skill or refer to the baseline data provided in the PLOP of the referenced IEP. This will be used to inform your planning.
Design your lesson.
Using this information, develop one lesson for your student that addresses a Primary and Secondary skill you have selected based on what you now know about the student and his/her IEP goals.
Be sure to state your learning goals in terms of observable Behavioral Objectives. This will allow you to be able to measure and determine mastery at the mid-point (medial summary) and end of the lesson (closure).
Develop a lesson that sequentially leads the student from what is already known to the new goal.
Be sure to include any specific language (vocabulary) that is to be introduced, learned or reviewed that relates to this specific lesson or the topic, in general.
State in your lesson plan how you will determine mastery. Plan a means of determining this mastery by creating a Behavioral Objective(s) that has measurable criteria (you are able to observe it). By the end of the lesson, you should be able to measure the progress that the student has made as a result of this lesson and have an observable means of making this assessment.
Your lesson plan should be detailed enough that a substitute or other teacher could understand it well enough to use it in a classroom. Use the Touro Lesson Plan template provided in Canvas.
Explain learning tasks that will be used to teach the skill and help the student to integrate this new knowledge with their previous knowledge (scaffolding).
Include any modifications or accommodations that will assist the student to meet the individual learning objective (for example, the learning environment, group composition, assistive technology).
Describe the theory that you have applied to your lesson with direct indications as to when and how this theory has been implemented; be specific. Include resources and materials used.

Discuss how well you personally take feedback, do you need tough love-do you need complements? How does feedback move you to make improvements? Give examples of what this looks like in antidoted form.

Discuss how well you personally take feedback, do you need tough love-do you need complements? How does feedback move you to make improvements? Give examples of what this looks like in antidoted form.

2. Discuss how well you personally give feedback, are you direct or indirect, are you effective? Give examples of what this looks like in antidoted form.

3. Research how to give good feedback on speeches-use APA to document the research you find. Discuss how this advice will shape how you will give peer feedback on speeches in this course.

Describe some environmental health hazards that you think you may be living with indoors.

200 words each discussion board
Lesson 4
People in developed
nations are fond of warning people in developing nations to stop destroying
rainforest. People of developing nations often respond that this is
hypocritical, because the developed nations became wealthy by deforesting their
land and exploiting its resources in the past. What would you say to the
president of a developing nation, such as Indonesia, in which a great deal of
forest is being cleared?

Lesson 5
Describe some
environmental health hazards that you think you may be living with
indoors. How do you think you may have been affected by indoor or outdoor
hazards in the past? How could you best deal with these hazards in the
future?

Lesson 6
Read the Central Case
Study – Mining for …Cell Phone? in Chapter 11 of your course textbook.
Explore the implications of the excessive demands for resources from
Western nations. Share other newsworthy cases of conflict minerals and how
these are extracted from the earth in order to create the products that are
purchased by citizens from affluent nations. In your research, explain
why the mineral in question is deemed a “conflict mineral” and
address the issues that are created socially, economically and environmentally
when these raw minerals are extracted. Share some possible solutions to
alleviate the damage done to the environment and the people who are directly
impacted by the extraction of conflict minerals.

Lesson 7
In this discussion, let’s explore traditional energy sources
versus alternative, renewable energy sources.
What impacts
might you expect on your lifestyle once our society arrives at peak oil?
What steps do
you think we should take to avoid energy shortages in a post-peak-oil future?
Which type of
alternative energy sources should our nation consider and promote? Is it
possible to transition to purely renewable energy sources? What are the
implications and hidden costs of using renewable energy sources?
Research at
least 2 different energy sources that the USA have successfully implemented and
share the pros and cons of these energy sources. How can the USA improve
on the technology to harness and deliver these energy sources on a national
level and reduce dependency on traditional energy sources?

Lesson 8
How much waste do you
generate? Look into your waste bin at the end of the day, and categorize and
measure the waste there. List all other waste you may have generated in other
places throughout the day. How much of this waste could you have avoided
generating? How much could have been reused or recycled?

Are men more susceptible to depression in social alienation instances?

The 3 questions and hypothesis chosen:
(1) Question: Are men more susceptible to depression in social alienation instances?
Hypothesis: Depression is higher among men than women following cases of social alienation.
(2) Question: Is their a correlation between a person’s childhood trauma and the unlikelihood that they would commit a crime?
Hypothesis: If a person experienced childhood trauma they are more likely to commit a crime.
(3) Is there a direct relationship between sleeping irregularities and anxiety?
Hypothesis: A significant number of people with sleeping problems experience insomnia.

To narrow down your question – you have to add something new to the literature. Therefore, conduct some lit review on each of your questions and pick the question that adds something new to the literature. Pick a question that tests something different. You can propose a new research question by changing the methods, changing the sample size, or by testing different concepts. You should be narrowing down your hypothesis to one research question. This lecture will also help you think about what goes into your Introduction section, which we will start work on next week.
