Home Gym Design

The purpose of this lab is to give you experience with a business scenario you may encounter in the fitness industry. You must design a practical and functional home gym for three clients: one has a low budget ($200), one a medium budget ($1,000), and one a high budget ($2,000). For each budget, determine the following: an equipment list including prices, online links, equipment names, quantity, and justification for all purchases (why you made the decisions you did). Next, design the layout of the three home gyms; how will you organize the equipment? This should be a sketch of some kind.

You will turn in the following for each budget:

An equipment list including required elements stated above
A detailed sketch of the layout of the home gym

the War of 1812.

analyze the circumstances surrounding the War of 1812. Discuss whether it is true (as has been alleged) that the war itself was an attempt to take advantage of the British when they were involved with the French in Europe. Is this an accurate assessment of the war? Support your conclusions using facts and evidence. Then discuss whether or not using this maneuver against the British would have been wrong in the context of the events happening at that time

African Nationalism and Pan-Africanism

Reflecting on the film, LUMUMBA, explain the reasons for the assassination of Patrice Lumumba, the Prime Minister of the Congo at independence. Identify the various parties responsible for his death
and their motivations for his murder in 1961.

What did Lumumba represent for the people of Congo and people around the world oppressed by
colonial/imperial rule? Why did his ideals pose a threat to Western interests? Discuss the role of the
West in undermining Lumumba’s efforts to free Congo from colonial rule and from the exploitation of
foreign interests.

Your research paper will involve analyzing a literary text or texts from our selected readings. The focus of your paper should be such that any class member would be able to recognize its relevance to the text(s) and/or major themes addressed on our discussion boards.

The primary reason for the research paper is to demonstrate your ability to apply the knowledge you have acquired of a specific theme in order to develop a working thesis. Your paper will be more relevant and convincing if you take a clear position, and include relevant and insightful secondary sources to support your assertions. You are encouraged not to stay on safe ground and simply “repackage” the conventional wisdom about one of our authors or topics. It will be more rewarding, albeit more challenging, to focus on a theme that has received little attention, is controversial, or lends itself to multiple interpretations.

Taking into consideration the above information, there are several approaches you may undertake in your research, such as comparing and contrasting more than one text, and/or authors, the development of a theme, plot pattern, aesthetic approach, character type, symbol, image, or recurring conflict.

Your primary text(s) must be from our selected course readings. In regards to secondary sources, you need to include at least FIVE outside sources. These secondary sources could include background research, such as historical, socio-economic information, that directly informs and elucidates your argument. Please follow the MLA format for documentation and mechanics. Your paper should be approximately 2000 words in length (6-8 pages).

Teacher perception with Online Teaching during Covid

Dissertation Title: Teacher perception with Online Teaching during Covid
Qualitative Research
Literature (10 years) with 5 key themes
Semi structured interview with 10 questions that relate to the research problem.
The research problem will be 5 questions related to the statement of the problem.
(The reason why I want to do this research is because during covid, teachers were forced to go into online teaching and some teachers were great at it and some hated it. I want to research this phenomenon…basically I want to know why it worked for some teachers and not for others).
Chapter 4 and 5 will be after I get approval of my chapters 1, 2, and 3.

Brandt V Rutledge

Since the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) passed in 2004, patient consent/confidentiality has played a pivotal role in the healthcare industry. Patient confidentiality refers to the right of patients to keep their records private and represents physicians’ and medical professionals’ moral and legal obligations in handling patients’ sensitive medical and personal information. The question may arise at times if younger Americans and/or their parents have those same rights.
Question:
For your case study #2 (APA formatted style paper-2 or more pages), research Brandt v. Rutledge. Define what patient confidentiality in healthcare means to you. Evaluate this rights issue in relation to consent and/or confidentiality. Give a summary of the case in your own words. Do you agree or disagree and why? What actions are being taken? Who are the interested parties? What are the benefits and consequences of this case in any healthcare setting?
I have added some resources to assist you:

Brandt v. Rutledge (E.D. Ark.; 8th Cir.)
Topics Covered: LGBTQ Rights
Issue
The issue in this case is whether an Arkansas law banning gender-affirming health care for young people is constitutional.
AMA Interest
The AMA believes that nonjudgmental recognition of patients’ sexual orientations, sexual behaviors, and gender identities enhances physicians’ ability to render optimal patient care in health as well as in illness. In the case of LGBTQ patients, this recognition is especially important to address the specific health care needs of people who are or may be LGBTQ.
Case Summary
Act 626, otherwise known as the Arkansas SAFE Act, states that “a physician or other health care professional shall not provide gender transition procedures to any individual under eighteen (18) years of age,” nor refer any individual to another health care professional for the same. The legislature’s proffered justification for this Act is that “the risks of gender transition procedures far outweigh the benefits at this stage of clinical study on these procedures.”
Under Act 626, any health care professional who provides gender-affirming care to a minor, or makes a referral for such care, is subject to discipline by a licensing entity or disciplinary review board. Further, the health care professional faces legal liability in a judicial or administrative proceeding for any “actual or threatened violation” of the Act.
On May 25, 2021, the plaintiffs, including transgender young people and their families, as well as two physicians filed suit to challenge the law. The complaint alleges that Act 626 violates the Equal Protection Clause of the Fourteenth Amendment, the Due Process Clause of the Fourteenth Amendment, and the First Amendment. It seeks declaratory and injunctive relief.
On July 21, 2021, the district court, based in large part on the AMA brief, preliminarily enjoined the law from going into effect. The defendants have appealed to the Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals.
Litigation Center Involvement
The Litigation Center joined with several other organizations in an amicus brief supporting the plaintiffs’ motion for a preliminary injunction and joined a similar brief filed on appeal.
