In December 2015, the FBI obtained the iPhone of one of the shooters in an ISIS-inspired terrorist attack that killed 14 people in San Bernardino, California. As part of the investigation, the FBI attempted to gain access to the data stored on the phone but was unable to penetrate its encryption software. Lawyers for the Obama administration approached Apple for assistance with unlocking the device, but negotiations soon broke down. Ultimately, the FBI dropped the case because it was able to circumvent the encryption on the iPhone without Apple’s help.
Do you support Apple’s refusal to grant the FBI access to the iPhone? Provide two reasons for your position.

Guideline Evaluation Assignment
The purpose of this assignment is to help the DNP student to work in a team environment and determine the quality of a professional practice guideline. Not all guidelines are created equal and not all are formulated well. The ability to review the quality of a practice guideline is critical in the process of determining quality evidence in which to base policy and practice. In practice, guideline development or revision is done in a group of professionals, so this assignment will be done in groups. You will review a professional clinical guideline and make decisions as per the checklist as a group.
Instructions for Group Sign-Up:
This is a team effort paper. Go to the “People” tab to sign up for teams of 2 or 3 students each group – Groups are numbered using small group faculty names.
The computer automatically chooses a team lead (you will see name posted in blue in group tab) This person is charged with uploading the draft and final paper into Turnitin and canvas for each group. How teams disperse the work on this project is up to the team.
Assignment Instructions:
Obtain an original guideline. Professional organization guidelines, clinical practice guidelines and the National Guideline Clearinghouse (https://www.thecommunityguide.org/resources/national-guideline-clearinghouse (Links to an external site.)
(Links to an external site.)
) are great places to start looking. Chapter 8 in your textbook has additional information and resources for finding guidelines.
Do not use the same guideline (can be same topic) as another group (check the Guideline Paper discussion board for student uploads in your small faculty group).
Introduce your guideline and identify the rationale for selection of this guideline related to your clinical practice.
Critique the original guideline using the grading rubric criteria and Rapid Appraisal Questions for Evidenced-Based Guidelines Checklist (RCA) in Appendix B of your textbook to guide you. Critique & address each section in detail in the paper (see #6 below).
Do not use the long questions on The RCA Checklist as paragraph headers (Use APA level I & II headings)
Do not give one sentence answers to each question, provide information as to why you are making the evaluator statement. Professional writing is expected.
Provide rationale for each of your evaluator statements in an APA formatted paper detailing how the process was accomplished or any bias/validity issues. Faculty are evaluating you on substance and detail of your evaluation.
Identify applicability to your patient population.
Suggest ways in which this guideline could be used in your practice setting.
Provide an overall summary of your evaluation.
Using your chosen guideline, place the information into an evaluation table according to the template provided below.
Limit to 10 pages (not including the title page or references)
Upload paper draft into the Turnitin Draft plagiarism software upload provided – only one member (team leader) should upload one copy and not everyone on the team
Upload final copy into Turnitin
Also post the guideline used when uploading final copy of assignment to Canvas.
Evaluation Table: The guideline article you are critiquing should be placed in an evaluation table using the template provided.

****Make sure that tables are APA formatted
Do not use “Evidence Table” as your table title. The title should reflect what you are presenting in the table. See “General Guidance on Tables and Figures” in your APA textbook.

Genre and Genre Theory
Prior to beginning work on this assignment, review the discussion of genre in Chapter 3 of Film: From Watching to Seeing, as well as your instructor’s guidance and lecture materials, and Chapter 11 in Film Genre Reader IV. The ENG225 Research Guide in the University of Arizona Global Campus Library will be particularly helpful in locating required sources. This assignment is your opportunity to demonstrate understanding of one selected genre. To do that, you will watch a full feature-length film from that genre.
Please choose a film from this list of approved choices.
Note: You should watch your chosen film twice—once to ensure that you have grasped the storytelling and once to take more specific notes on aspects of the film you wish to discuss. If you would like to write about a film that is not on this list, you must email your professor for approval in advance or you may not receive credit on this assignment.
It is recommended that you look ahead to the Week 3 written assignment and Week 5 Final Paper guidelines to ensure that you choose a film for this assignment that will work with the requirements on those later assignments. You may opt to write about the same film in your Week 3 and Week 5 written assignments, and applicable pieces of this assignment can be used to write that assignment. If you do this, you should reflect on and revise this assignment based on the instructor’s feedback before you incorporate it into any future writing assignment.
Your paper should be organized around a thesis statement that focuses on how your chosen feature-length film both aligns with and expands upon your chosen genre. Consider using the University of Arizona Global Campus Writing Center Thesis Generator to help develop your thesis. Review the Week 2 sample paper, which provides an example of a well-developed analysis as well as insight on composition.
In your paper,
• Explain genre theory and, using Chapter 3 of the text as a reference, describe the conventions and attributes of the genre you have selected.
• Identify a feature-length film that fits your selected genre and briefly summarize the movie. As you develop this summary, remember the differences between a film’s story and a film’s plot and be sure to highlight specific genre elements.
• Interpret at least two genre conventions exhibited in your chosen feature-length film that help classify it in the selected genre. Be sure to provide a specific example of each convention (e.g., a particular scene or plot component).
• Provide an example of a third convention from your chosen feature-length film and explain how this convention expands the boundaries of the specified genre.
The Genre and Genre Theory paper
• Must be 900 to 1200 words in length and formatted according to APA style as outlined in the University of Arizona Global Campus Writing Center’s APA Style
• Must include a separate title page with the following:
◦ Title of Your Essay (in bold)
◦ Your First and Last Name
◦ University of Arizona Global Campus
◦ Course Code: Name of Course (e.g., ENG 225: Introduction to Film)
◦ Instructor’s name
◦ Due Date
For further assistance with the formatting and the title page, refer to APA Formatting for Word 2013.
• Must utilize academic voice. See the Academic Voice resource for additional guidance.
• Must include an introduction and conclusion paragraph. Your introduction paragraph needs to end with a clear thesis statement that indicates the purpose of your paper.
◦ For assistance on writing Introductions & Conclusions as well as Writing a Thesis Statement, refer to the University of Arizona Global Campus Writing Center resources.
• Must use at least two scholarly sources in addition to the course text.
◦ The Scholarly, Peer-Reviewed, and Other Credible Sources table offers additional guidance on appropriate source types. If you have questions about whether a specific source is appropriate for this assignment, please contact your instructor. Your instructor has the final say about the appropriateness of a specific source for a particular assignment.
◦ To assist you in completing the research required for this assignment, view this University of Arizona Global Campus Library Quick ‘n’ Dirty tutorial, which introduces the University of Arizona Global Campus Library and the research process, and provides some library search tips.
• Must document any information used from sources in APA style as outlined in the University of Arizona Global Campus Writing Center’s Citing Within Your Paper guide.
• Must include a separate references page that is formatted according to APA style as outlined in the University of Arizona Global Campus Writing Center. See the Formatting Your References List resource in the University of Arizona Global Campus Writing Center for specifications.
