Sheila’s mother also worked hard in a high pressure office environment and often came home expressing her anxiety over the decisions made and the people she worked with.
Sheila currently attends University, is in the third year of a sociology program and is struggling with grades and assignments. Sheila begins to tell her therapist her personal emotional issues over the past year as Sheila has experienced many different events. Sheila has become involved with friends that seem to enjoy partying and social gatherings during a time of Covid 19. Sheila has struggled to find her place to fit in with friends as Sheila also fears rejection. Sheila has been introduced to alcohol and drugs at a number of the parties and has been more involved in consumption of alcohol and marijuana more than what she is comfortable with.
Sheila has also realized that their mother has become quite forgetful of events and trying to put sentences together. Sheila’s father believes their mother is just under pressure and nothing is wrong. The last time Sheila was at home she noticed her mother not remembering where she had placed certain items she was just using, and at one point looked at Sheila and asked “who are you”? Sheila is very concerned for her mother and wants to have an assessment completed however Sheila’s siblings are not in favor at this time.
Sheila explains she is experiencing a great deal of anxiety as the pressure of the assignments begins to build, exams are coming, and Sheila does not feel prepared. Sheila also explained as a young child experienced rejection as those in school often made fun of Sheila and teased Sheila. She regularly feels a sense of doom and constantly worries.
Sheila tells her therapist she has been feeling quite low in mood. Is having difficulty sleeping, not much appetite and is concerned about how she will be able to move forward.

accounting research paper
Choose a major balance sheet category (for example, investments) and provide a historical analysis of the proper accounting treatment of the item chosen. Research both any historical (past issues) and current accounting issues related to the item chosen, including appropriate references to the accounting pronouncments (FASB and US GAAP) that resolved the issue. Finally, identify any future potential issues that may cause the accounting treatment of this item to change. For example, will the current COVID-19 lock down and the related business environment changes create a need to record this item differently. Provide the relevant support, citations, etc. for your conclusions.
Only use American references
the references I mean in particular are US GAAP
and the FASB Codification

You must respond to the question and take a yes or no standpoint in your submission. You’ll
need to provide support of your standpoint, argument and assertions, so include the two assigned
module readings noted above (Berkman et. al., 2018 & Mateen et. al., 2021) and two outside

Based upon your research, what type of behavioral leadership style does/did the individual practice? Task-oriented, people-oriented, or a combination of the two? Explain.
Using your favorite search engine, conduct research on a well-known leader of a corporation. You might be interested in researching formers leaders such as Lee Iacocca of Chrysler, Herb Kelleher of Southwest Airlines, Jack Welch of General Electric, or Ray Kroc of McDonald’s. Alternatively, you could research present-day corporate leaders such as Indra Nooyi of PepsiCo, Mary Barra of GM, Mark Zuckerberg of Facebook, Gregory Hayes of United Technologies, etc. Remember, the leader you choose to research doesn’t have to be on this list — pick a leader who piques your curiosity! Some students have chosen the CEO of their own employers, but please be sure that you have a minimum of two sources in addition to your textbook if you do so.
Review articles and biographical information that is available on the Internet. You should have a minimum of two (2) sources in addition to your textbook. The goal of your research is to answer the following questions about the leader you chose:
Based upon your research, what type of behavioral leadership style does/did the individual practice? Task-oriented, people-oriented, or a combination of the two? Explain.
How would this individual’s leadership style be characterized in terms of the path-goal theory of leadership? Explain.
Would you describe this individual as a transactional or transformational leader? Explain.
In what specific ways do you feel this individual was an effective leader?
In what specific ways do you feel this individual’s leadership could be improved?
This report should be a minimum of 4 full pages (double-spaced – approximately 950 words), excluding header, cover page and/or references, using 12-point font and 1-inch margins.

Discussion Draft (10 points)
Due by Sunday, June 27th 11:55 PM (CDT)
The purpose of this assignment is for students to receive feedback on a written draft of the
Discussion draft to help improve their writing for the final paper. Note that the quality and
completeness of your draft will influence the quality of feedback I am able to provide. Therefore,
make sure to include all the important components and to proofread your draft before submitting.
Please review the Writing the Discussion lecture for more information on this assignment.
General outline for the Discussion:
1. Summarize your general findings.
a. In the first paragraph, summarize your findings in plain, simple language. Clearly explain
which main effects, interaction, simple effects were significant, and which were not.
Describe the direction of any significant differences as well.
Explain your findings.
In the next several paragraphs, explain whether each of your findings supports your
original predictions. If you found support, mention why you think you found support. If
you did not find support, provide an alternative explanation for why you found something
different than expected.
In addition, refer back to 3 or more of the articles you discussed in the Introduction and
discuss whether your findings are consistent with the previous research and theory –
focusing on the main point/idea from the reviewed work. Make sure to justify why your
findings are or are not consistent. It is possible that your results are partially consistent,
which is important to note as well.
Discuss strengths and limitations.
Mention one or two potential strengths and explain why they are strengths. For example,
did you use random assignment? Or does your study extend previous research or fill an
important gap in the literature? Did you replicate results?
Mention one or two potential limitations, explain why they are limitations, and then
describe how they could be addressed in future research. For example, would your study
have worked better in person rather than online? Did you have any issues with data
collection? Are there better measures/manipulations you could use in the future?
End broadly (conclusion, connect to broader context, implications).
Explain why your findings matter both scientifically (e.g., extend previous work) and
practically (e.g., develop new interventions or research to address this problem)
Connect your study back to the broader context. If possible, try to link it back to what
you discussed in the first paragraph of the Introduction section.
Grab your reader’s attention or interest again – inspire them to learn more about this topic
(or to understand why it’s important to study). Think of a “TED Talk” closing statement.
Psychopathology, Genetics, Epigenetics and Early Development
What are your reactions to the “killer brain videos”? Explain how genetics and the environment play a role in psychopathology?
What are your takeaways from Carey & DiLalla’s article (What did you learn about the twin studies and the intersectionality between gene and environment)?
Lastly, heredity is powerful… it can advance the human race and can also pass on many debilitating/ life-threatening diseases. What are your thoughts on eugenics? Can just improving the human heredity immune the human race from detrimental illnesses (physical and psychological)? In your opinion, why is the concept of eugenics problematic? -Refer to the videos and readings posted under the ‘course materials’. Please create a new thread for your initial response and do not post any attachments.
The response should be at least 300 words.
