For this paper, you will watch a high-level university meeting and write a paper that critically examines it for content, participants, and processes. If this were a traditional course, I would ask you to attend a meeting rather than watching a video. However, since this is a summer online course, I substituted watching a video instead of attending a meeting. These meetings can last anywhere from 45 minutes to two hours plus. Select one that interests you.
Search YouTube for a video to watch of a high-level university meeting. You will select a meeting or event from the following list to view as an observer:
Board of Regents Meetings University Faculty Senate
University Board of Trustees Meeting
You will complete a synopsis and critical analysis of the observed meeting (1250 word minimum / 1500 word maximum). While watching the video, you should take detailed notes and submit them as an appendix of your final paper (not part of the word count). Include the link to the video in your notes appendix.
The synopsis must provide an overview of the meeting/event (i.e., describe the purpose, context, and participants) and the analysis should relate your observations to the principles, theories, and/or empirical research from our textbook and other scholarly resources.
In this paper, you should:
Present well-defined articulation of the issues addressed.
Identify the appropriate stakeholders in higher education administration.
Define the relationship between issues in higher education administration and their relationships to stakeholders.
Demonstrate a thorough understanding of the demands and challenges facing higher education administrators.
Exhibit an awareness of the relevance of decision-making and problem solving strategies in higher education institutions
Utilize current research involving the ideological, technical and operational issues of higher education administration relative to the issues addressed.
Synthesize current research literature relevant to the topics addressed, and utilize this synthesis in the development of your own leadership platform in relation to best practices.
Articulate professional perspectives on the demands and challenges facing higher education administrators.
Evaluate potential solutions to educational problems.
Use a minimum of six scholarly sources.

Include your notes from the meeting and link to the video as an appendix (not part of the word count).
This paper should be well written and worthy of a masters level course (format, structure, proper spelling, grammar, punctuation, etc.). For additional details on how the assignment will be assessed, please review the corresponding rubric.

Question 1 : list and give historical examples of at least three advantages and at least three disadvantages of industrial factories in the early United States. Then, answer the following question:

Question 3 (Must be at least 500 Words): What aspect of early American society do you believe to have been the most influential in its initial hesitance toward industrialization? What social and technological advances allowed Americans to alter their perceptions of industry by the early nineteenth century, and why was the United States able to fully industrialize beyond European powers by 1850? What were the primary benefits and detriments of American industrialization during this time?

Write a paper comparing themes in Shakespearean tragedies.

Compare how the theme is presented in The Tragedy of Macbeth and The Tragedy of Othello. Are there similarities? Why are the themes treated differently in the two plays? How does this theme affect the characters, storyline, or outcome of each play? Would each be affected if the theme were treated differently? How?

Assume that everyone is motivated by their family/children. Therefore, for the purpose of this exercise, your “family” cannot be listed as a motivator.
Assume that everyone gets the same reward. If you are working, everyone gets the same pay. If you work harder, longer hours, get to work earlier, leave later, etc, you will not earn more money. You will make the same as the person that comes in late, leaves early, does very little work, etc. If you going to school, everyone in the class gets the same grade. If you study harder, complete extra assignments, dig deeper into the content, etc, you will not earn a higher grade. You will get the same grade as the person who only half-heartedly completes assignments, doesn’t study for tests, and shows very little concern for doing well.
Now, close your eyes and just think a minute about what really drives you mentally and emotionally. What motivates you to do something (anything) to the best of your ability? What not only “drives” you and CONTINUES to keep you motivated to do your best, either at work or at school. Now, think of WHY that motivates you. There has to be something in it for you or you would not do it so think about what internal reward you are getting from whatever motivates you.
Keep in mind the assumptions above. For this discussion, we are not referring to what motivates you to actually get up out of bed and go to work or school; we are talking about what makes you do your best instead of just putting forth the minimum effort required. Remember, you will not make more money for it or get a higher grade. The key here is to make sure the things you list continually keep you motivated, not something that will motivate you when it is new. For example, a new job that pays well will excite you but soon the money becomes your normal pay and then you expect it. So, what would make you work harder to do your job better than the person next to you who makes the exact same pay?

What approximate “stage” of life you are currently enjoying? Example: Adolescence (ages 12-19), Early Adulthood (ages 20-34), Middle Adulthood (ages 35-49), Mature Adulthood (ages 50+).
How do your motivators compare to the motivation theories from your chapter? Explain.

You can write about the relation to people getting the vaccine and their careers. I would like my hypothesis to be something along the lines of people who work in health care are more likely to get the vaccine. Find a few articles that can support that claim. I will attach the data. The results will be wether or not my hypothesis is true according the the data. Make sure to mention that my group used surveys to collect data. Use professional sources.

Are there any laws implemented at the state level for paid parental leave? If so, have these states seen improvement? Are the residents taking advantage of these policies?
