Discuss three situations for uses of different operating system installs in a virtual environment while at the same time securing the operating system installation.

Discuss three situations for uses of different operating system installs in a virtual environment while at the same time securing the operating system installation.
For example, think about why a system administrator would install several different versions of Microsoft Windows VM’s? Or maybe a developer installing different distributions of Linux? Think about the different IT departments an organization may have and what can be done to save time, money, and resources when they utilize virtual machines.

What did the organization learn from that failure and were they able to move forward to a successful product or service?

The concept of failing forward is a time-tested principle of
innovator entrepreneurs, newbie start-ups, and mature media channels
needing a fresh look at changing societal norms and the global
marketplace. Failing forward allows for crazy ideas, a synergistic
sandbox of non-judgmental collaboration, and if the idea fails to have
legs, lessons can still be learned from that failure to continue moving
forward with a creative mindset.

Research and describe one instance of a post-1975 communication product or service idea that publically failed.
What did the organization learn from that failure and were
they able to move forward to a successful product or service? You will
need to find a discussion, article, or other accessible resource that
describes or suggests the road forward from failure.
Cite at least two net references in current APA format.
For example, Americas foremost inventor, Thomas Edison, lasted
only three months in school as his teachers said he was too stupid to
learn anything. Yet, Edison went on to create the duplex telegraph,
stock ticker, dictation machine, talking doll, releasing oil from shale,
the all-concrete home, motion picture camera, and the light bulb (the
latter item disrupting the candle, whale oil, and kerosene industries).
After 999 failures, Edison and his staff discovered the winning
composition of a carbonized sewing thread filament or in Edisons own
words, I have simply found 999 ways how not to create a light bulb.
Learn from your mistakes and move on. That is what it means to fail
forward.

Community Assessment/Analysis

*** PLEASE REVIEW ATTACHED RUBRIC/SAMPLE/ADDITIONAL DIRECTIONS*** This assessment must be completed in analysis of downtown Seattle, Washington community.

Community Assessment/Analysis – Part 1 is worth 25% of Final Grade.
A key function of public health nurses is to conduct community health assessments. In some agencies, often the public health department, a variety of people conduct the assessment alone or in combination. The point of the assessment is to help identify health needs and determine ways to address those needs. In this course you will chose an community (town or city) to assess. The assessment is very thorough and may be done is small groups of 2-3, or you may choose to do the assessment and analysis alone. Review chapter 17 in Stanhope and Lancaster (2020) to understand the essential parts of a community assessment as well as how and where to gather data and other types of information. As you do this assessment, think like a community health nurse, not like a student. You will overthink the assignment if you think like a student and miss important, obvious points. If you think like a nurse doing an assessment (something most of you do all the time) the assessment and analysis will flow and make more sense. You will observe more and have better insights with less struggle.
In week 1 you chose the community you wanted to assess and analyze. You also decided if you were going to do the assignments alone or as part of a group of 2-3 students in the same section of the course. If working in a group you should have submitted a contract delineating what each member of the group is responsible for and the expected due dates. Over the last 2 weeks you have been gathering information and completing a through assessment and thoughtful analysis.
Review the Community Assessment/Analysis Part 1 form/template provided in the Forms folder as a downloadable Microsoft Word document (and as an attachment below). You are required to use this document, download it, complete it, and submit the completed Word document to this drop box. If you do not submit the assignment as the same template in Word format, the document will receive a zero grade. You may resubmit as a Word document in the template format, if time permits.
You can begin the assessment in several ways. Some like to start with gathering data – statistics, reviewing web sites. At some point, usually early in the process a windshield survey is conducted. A windshield survey is driving around the community in your car and observing the community from the car (hence – windshield survey). It is best to have someone go with you and drive, so you can look around and take notes. You are looking for safety and health issues – both strengths and areas of concern. You want to drive around as much of the town as possible to get a feel for the different areas. For example, in Chicago there are many ethnic areas noted for their unique foods, art, festivals throughout the city. It is important to note these type of areas. Also, observe for safe streets, lighting, sidewalks, public transportation, etc. Accessibility to necessary services like stores, banks, schools. You may also want to interview some people for information about the community – maybe some professionals (government officials, police officers, teachers, health care workers, etc.) for information about their area of expertise. Gathering information for the assessment comes from a variety of sources to get a full picture of the community.
There are several sections to the assessment. At the end of each section, reflect on the information gathered to identify the strengths and areas for needed improvement related to that section. This analysis of the data will help you identify the problem areas that need to be addressed once the full assessment is completed.
There is a lot of information that needs to be gathered. You will need the full 2-3 weeks to gather and organize the information. Do not wait until the last minute to start your assessment and analysis.
There is a sample assignment for you to review. It is only meant to give you an idea of the assignment. The template has been revised several times so the current assignment looks different than the sample. It is just a sample – it is not a perfect example of what you should submit. BE SURE TO USE THE CURRENT TEMPLATE IN THE FORMS FOLDER (or in the attachments below).
If there is an area of the assessment form where you do not find the resource within your community, you will need to go outside of your community to address that area. For example, not every community has an airport for international travel, so you would report what major airport is used by the population in your community. Not every town has an acute care hospital – please identify where the residents would go for acute care.
Part of the evaluation of the assessment will be based on the information you observed from your windshield survey, talking with community members, and the quality of the resources used to collect the data (for example, Wikipedia, real estate websites and Epodunk are not reliable resources). Your data needs to be based on the most current available reliable information. If you interview your neighbor, a plumber, for information about the weather – and he says the weather is always rainy from 2-4 in the summer months – that is not a reliable source. But – if you report your neighbor is a meteorologist and he explains the weather typically rains from 2-4 pm during summer months because the humidity is at its highest between those hours – that is a reliable source. The quality of your sources is very important in a community assessment.
If a student decides to work in a group, the group must stay together for both parts 1 and 2 of the assignment. Each group member turns in the same final copy of the assignment. Put all group member names on the assignment. Turn-it-in will show 100% copied – we expect that. Each group member will receive the same grade unless there are extenuating circumstances of a member not adequately participating.
As you begin:
Review the template.(No need to add a title page. Do put student name(s) at top of first page)
Review the video explaining the assignment.
Review the Community Assessment/Analysis Part 1 – Tips sheet.
Review the sample assignment.
Review the grading rubric.
Before you submit the final version of the assignment:
Review the document for grammar and typing errors (red and blue squiggly lines)
Delete extra spaces, empty boxes, etc so the assignment looks professional.
Compare the completed document to the grading rubric
Review citations and references for APA format.

Fire & EMS Planning

In many instances there are more needs in our communities than we sometimes recognize.
For this assignment research Community Inventory and Community Needs Assessments.
Once you understand this information, do a Community Inventory and Needs Assessment for your a central Florida city or town. What is your community make-up? What does your Community have that can help responders? What does your Community need?

Using the information gained in the Community Inventory and Needs Assessment that you performed, Identify what you think are the flaws in the current system of providing fire protection to your community. Please provide a way you would correct this problem.

Then write an academic paper with at least 5 or more pages of content for this assignment. The content should be a re-design of Fire Protection for your community. If you were to create a fire department today for your community, how would it look? Describe the components of the department and the rationale. Integrate the information you learned from your Community Inventory and Needs Assessment

Create a 1-page infographic related to any concept we have learned about up to this point in the term. The one-sheet could be something to remind you or follow co-workers or students of a key concept, be given as a handout in a presentation you could give, be used internally in your organization to illustrate key learnings, be provided to managers as a tip sheet, etc. Use your imagination.

“Information security is basic to the current organizations, especially thinking about computerized systems changes and the approach of stricter information protection guidelines. With so much information being stored digitally, cyberattacks have become the greatest danger to hierarchical information and data (Wheeler, E. (2011)). In any case, the initial phase in managing these potential risks includes discovering approaches to forestall them in any case.
Vulnerability assessment and Risks assessment, to some extend, may seem similar, but actually, they are two different concepts altogether. Risks are possible threats that are related to an organization’s use of processes, technology, and procedures (Bala Sethunathan, 2021). On the other hand, vulnerabilities are cracks and weaknesses that challenge an organization’s effort to maintain Information Security.
Vulnerability assessment focuses on distinguishing existing shortcomings in resources or control that malicious people can use for exploitation and cause destruction. Playing out a vulnerability evaluation and assessment permits an association to determine weaknesses and security cracks and gaps which it afterward takes measures to do away with (Bala Sethunathan, 2021). Risk assessment concentrates on finding out possible threats that an organization can face while carrying certain activities or projects. The idea behind risk assessment is to identify regions of inadequate knowledge, fill the gaps, and take actions to alleviate the possible risks. For example, if an organization wants to avoid risks, threats, as well as vulnerability, and the possibility of data loss, it’s important to conduct a reasonable risk and vulnerability assessment. This way, they do not compromise their data to cyberattacks or unauthorized access.”

How does Graphic Design differ from Fine Art?

Fine Art and Graphic Design serve different purposes. Where Fine Art allows for “interpretation”, the primary purpose of Graphic Design is “communication” A specific message for a specific audience. Interpretation is not desired.
