Guidelines for the Culture Project Annotated Bibliography
The Annotated Bibliography is a two-fold exercise. Evaluation is based upon formatting and on your success in locating and summarizing the usefulness of reliable information regarding your culture partners culture. Refer to the sample bibliography provided on the next page for format and source types. I also suggest that you use the sample as a template for your own bibliography.
FORMAT:
Put your name, the course #, and your Style Guide name (see below), in the upper right corner. Follow the example on the sample.
Use Times New Roman font in 12 pt. Use black ink.
Use single-spaced lines within the entry and the annotation.
Use a double-space between the entries and between the entry citation and its annotation.
Place 1 margins all around the page (check your settings!).
Center the title (single spaced if it takes two lines) and word as follows:

CONTENT:
At least three informative sources are required. DO not repeat the types of entry, that is do not use two general data information sources. Do not use two books on the culture of the country. Do not use two research articles on dress. Commercial travel websites and juvenile literature are not allowed. Use at least one book . Use research articles, which you may find online via the library databases.
For each source, provide the bibliographic entry. Follow your selected style guide closely.
After the bibliographic information, double space and then provide an annotation. The annotation is three to five sentences and describes the sources useful information. Tell the reader what information may be found in the source and how/what may be learned about the culture from it. You are NOT writing research on the culture. You are seeking quality reference information and in the annotation, you are to evaluate its potential for your use in the project.

Quality of the 3+ entries; well written, concise, and accurate annotations; accurate bibliographic entries; error-free entries and text, and that all parts are present. Use Rubric as your guide when preparing your work.

Instructions
In the Week 1 learning module you should see 3 important documents: 1) The Introduction to Graphing Lab Handout, 1) Introduction to Graphing Lab Report and 3) Mythbusters Lab Report. Note that the lab report documents are not the same as the lab handout documents, so be sure that you’re looking at everything. You need to work through the lab handout documents with all of the directions, but you only need to turn in what I ask for on the lab report documents.
Complete the Introduction to Graphing Lab Report first so that you can apply what you learn to the Mythbusters Lab Report. To complete the Introduction to Graphing Lab Report start by reading the Background and Activity 1. You are responsible for the information presented in the Background and Activity 1 area of the handout, but you need only complete the work for Activity 2. We’re not graphing by hand at all this semester. Pay particular attention to the things that a good graph needs (like how to label axes and create a title). You only need to complete Activity 2 from the Introduction to Graphing lab handout. You should turn in your graphs by pasting them into the Introduction to Graphing Lab Report file and uploading that to this D2L assignment box.(5 pts).
Once you’ve worked through this introduction to graphing, move on to the Mythbusters activity so you can apply what you just learned. You should complete everything in the Mythbusters Lab Report (15 pts). Note that there is no separate lab handout here. You should upload the Mythbusters Lab Report to this assignment box as well.

2 Helpful Hints:
1) The Introduction to Graphing lab handout does not walk you through how to create a bar graph in Excel, but you will need to make a bar graph this week. In the place where you select “Scatterplot”, just select the icon labeled “Column or Bar Chart”. You actually want to create a “Column Chart” as Excel calls it (Vertical Bars) so that your independent variable is on the X-axis.
2) To copy and paste a graph from Excel into Word, just select the graph and go to the File menu to copy it. Then go to your Word Document. Go nu and Paste it. I think that it is easiest to paste it as a picture. To do this, select Paste Special and dule.

However, not everyone has enough money to pay for expensive designer brands like Chanel or Gucci, they can only afford trendy but not too expensive clothes. That is the reason for the birth of fast fashion, meeting the needs of following the trends of customers at an extremely cheap price. Fast fashion became popular as a result of lower-cost, faster production and shipping processes, an increase in customers’ demand for the most up-to-date fashions, and a rise in consumer spending power, especially among young people, to gratify these instant-gratification wants. They imitate the new products in the collections of the major fashion houses with each season. Therefore, these fashion brands quickly introduce new products to the market according to each season to catch up with trends. However, this can also be considered an act of stealing design ideas, a very taboo thing in this field of clothing design. Not only that, the introduction of too many new products in a few weeks causes serious effects on climate pollution.

Project Instructions
You oversee the technology department at Innovative Technology Solutions, Inc., a company founded two years ago. The company grew quickly and the executives are trying to decide how to best allocate funds to support the company’s growth.
The executive team approaches you to ask if you think some of the increased revenue should be spent on hiring new employees in your department to keep up with increased demands for the company’s product.
