This week we learned about the medicalization of deviance as
well as mass incarceration and the impact of these methods of social control on
society. Remember, social control is defined as the enforcement of
conformity by society upon its members, either by social pressure or by
law.
Now
I want you to think beyond what we typically imagine in terms of social control
in the criminal system. Feel free to consider education, entertainment, media,
business, etc., and tell me: What is another method of social control that you
see in society and how does it impact society?
Use
the definition provided to help you think through possibilities. Remember, your
memo is to be three pages, double spaced.

Write a 525- to 700-word depiction of a 5- to 10-minute scene drawn from the selected event and implement the following:
Assume your depiction might be part of a larger work.
Include a physical description and dialogue in your depiction of the scene.

Your depiction should not include any jumps between different periods, such as flashbacks.

Creative Personal Essay Reading Script

Management Capstone (Chapters 1, 2, & 3)
Detailed instruction attached (must read). Key parts are below. This is the first three chapters of a capstone project for a Masters in Managment. This paper will also include a SWOT. Use current references within the last 5 years and as many as needed (at least 1-2 per page).
Assignment Instructions:
The corporation, which has been chosen
for the capstone project this term is Target Corporation. Target
Corporation is an American retailing company headquartered in
Minneapolis, Minnesota, and it is the second-largest discount retailer in
the United States, following Walmart. This company was chosen as the topic
for the capstone project because it represents financial, human resources,
cultural, employee relations, leadership, change management, and ethics issues
as they relate to the successful operation of a publicly traded corporation.
There is a wide variety of information and analysis published about the
Target Corporation. The successful student will blend this information and
scholarly information obtained from the Hodges University Library
databases to complete this capstone research project. This capstone
project will be written in chapters as prescribed below. Each chapter must
begin on a separate page. It is, in essence, an independent, applied
research paper like all others in the MSM Program and will be formatted
according to APA guidelines. However, the focus of the paper
is essentially how a management consultant might collect and analyze data
as a part of her or his recommended plan of action for the company, which
would be presented to its executives. In short, the student will paint a
comprehensive picture of the various elements contained in the outline
below, identify salient elements from the scholarly literature, think
critically about each element, and draw conclusions supported by the
scholarly literature on each.
Chapters 1, 2, and 3.
Chapter
I – Introduction with the student’s conception of the totality of the issues
addressed in the paper with an overarching introductory statement.
Chapter
2 – Provide some general background information regarding the company, its
leadership, history, and development/evolution.
Chapter
3 – Situational Analysis – Provide relevant background data on the internal and
external constraints affecting the decision-making capacity of the management.
A rigorous, original SWOT and summary should also be included.
Recommendations/Action Plan for Whole Foods Market

resources, budget and staff numbers in your mind while you are implementing
potential marketing actions. Be realistic and dont propose over the top

time for a two-person small size company that operates with annual $20K
marketing budget).
CH 7 Thinking and Intelligence
Describe the four types of biases that can cause us to come to wrong conclusions in decision-making.
Which of Gardner’s multiple intelligences do you feel you possess?
Which of these types of intelligence do you feel is most representative of human “intelligence”?
Describe three or more reasons for why children or adults are given IQ tests.
Process Management and Supplier Quality
Use material on process management, explain how some of the
tools described (e.g., flowcharts, histograms, etc.) can be used to determine
whether supplier quality is at the desired levels. Why would it be important
for an organization to have a standard way of looking at (and evaluating)
supplier quality relative to process management?
Apply the use of flowcharts, histograms or other tools to Amazon
as an example of how they can be used.
