The sweetest victory is the one that’s most difficult. The one that requires you to reach down deep inside, to fight with everything you’ve got, to be willing to leave everything out there on the battlefield-without knowing, until that do-or-die moment, if your heroic effort will be enough Society doesn’t reward defeat, and you won’t find many failures documented in history books.
The exceptions are those failures that become steppingstones to later success. Such is the case with
Thomas Edison, whose most memorable invention was the light bulb, which purportedly took him 1,000
tries before he developed a successful prototype How did it feel to fail 1,000 times?” a reporter asked
“I didn’t fail 1,000 times,” Edison responded. “The light bulb was an invention with 1,000 steps” Unlike Edison, many of us avoid the prospect of failure In fact, we’re so focused on not failing that we don’t aim for success, settling instead for a life of mediocrity. When we do make missteps, we gloss over them, selectively editing out the miscalculations or mistakes in our life’s résumé. “Failure is not an option NASA flight controller Jerry C. Bostick reportedly stated during the mission to bring the damaged Apollo 13 back to Earth, and that phrase has been etched into the collective memory ever since. To many in our success-driven society, failure isn’t just considered a non-option-it’s deemed a deficiency, says Kathryn Schulz, author of Being Wrong Adventures in the Margin of Error. “Of all the things we are wrong about this idea of error might well top the list.” Schulz says. “It is our meta- mistake We are wrong about what it means to be wrong. Failure Is Life’s Greatest Teacher
When we take a closer look at the great thinkers throughout history, a willingness to take on failure isn’t a new or extraordinary thought at all. From the likes of Augustine, Darwin and Freud to the business mavericks and sports legends of today, failure is as powerful a tool as any in reaching great success “Failure and defeat are life’s greatest teachers [but] sadly, most people, and particularly conservative corporate cultures, don’t want to go there,” says Ralph Heath, managing partner of Synergy Leadership Group and author of Celebrating Failure: The Power of Taking Risks, Making Mistakes and Thinking Big “Instead they choose to play it safe, to fly below the radar, repeating the same safe choices over and over again. They operate under the belief that if they make no waves, they attract no attention; no one will yell at them for failing because they generally never attempt anything great at which they could possibly fail for succeed).”
However, in today’s post-recession economy, some employers are no longer shying away from failure-they’re embracing it. According to a recent article in BusinessWeek, many companies are deliberately seeking out those with track records reflecting both failure and success, believing that the who have been in the trenches, survived battle and come out on the other side have irreplaceable experience and perseverance.
2. The quickest road to success is to possess an attitude toward failure of no fear They’re veterans of failure. The prevailing school of thought in progressive companies-such as Intuit, General Electric, Corning and Virgin Atlantic-is that great success depends on great risk, and failure is simply a common byproduct. Executives of such organizations don’t mourn their mistakes but instead parlay them into future gains. The quickest road to success is to possess an attitude toward failure of no fear,” says Heath. “To do their work well, to be successful and to keep their companies competitive, leaders and workers on the front lines need to stick their necks out a mile every day
They have to deliver risky, edgy, breakthrough ideas, plans, presentations, advice, technology, products. leadership, bills and more. And they have to deliver all this fearlessly-without any fear whatsoever of failure, rejection or punishment.”
Reaching Your Potential
The same holds true for personal quests, whether in overcoming some specific challenge or reaching your full potential in all aspects of life To achieve your personal best, to reach unparalleled heights, to make the impossible possible, you can’t fear failure, you must think big, and you have to push yourself When we think of people with this mindset, we imagine the daredevils, the pioneers, the inventors, the explorers They embrace failure as a necessary step to unprecedented success. But you don’t have to walk a tightrope, climb Mount Everest or cure polio to employ this mindset in your own life.
When the rewards of success are great, embracing possible failure is key to taking on a variety of challenges, whether you’re reinventing yourself by starting a new business or allowing yourself to trust another person to build a deeper relationship To achieve any worthy goal, you must take risks,” says writer and speaker John C. Maxwell. In his book Falling Forward Turning Mistakes into Stepping Stones for Success, he points to the example of legendary aviator Amelia Earhart, who set several records and achieved many firsts in her lifetime, including being the first female pilot to fly solo over the Atlantic Ocean
Although her final flight proved fateful, Maxwell believes she knew the risk-and that the potential reward was worth it “[Earhart’s] advice when it came to risk was simple and direct: “Decide whether or not the goal is worth the risks involved. If it is, stop worrying” Of course, the risks you take should be calculated, you shouldn’t fly blindly into the night and simply hope for the best. Achieving the goal or at least waging a heroic effort requires preparation, practice and some awareness of your skills and talents.

When we do make missteps, we gloss over them, selectively editing out the miscalculations or mistakes in our life’s résumé. “Failure is not an option NASA flight controller Jerry C.
However, in today’s post-recession economy, some employers are no longer shying away from failure-they’re embracing it.
Ethical Justification Model
Hi, I want my paper written about an ethical dillema that I faced at my internship. I intern at a ketamine treatment center for people who struggle with mental health. The requirements at my internship include doing intake and assessing clients if they are the right fit for the ketamine treatment. One time I faced a dillema with a potential patient. The patient called and told me he struggles with depression and anxiety. He confided in me that he is a drug addict and he has been sober for the past 8 months. He was very excited to hear about ketamine treatments and wanted to come into our clinic for a ketamine infusion. As I spoke with the patient, it was very apparent to me that he was extremely vulnerable to using drugs again and I was concerned because the ketamine treatment can very likely trigger a relapse for this individual.
I felt ethically and morally it was against my values. I don’t believe that addicts should be doing the ketamine treatments because they can easily relapse. However, the owner of the treatment center believes that ketamine treatment can help with addiction and that we should allow the patient to join the clinic and get treatment with us. The clinic recently opened up and the owner is still in a financial space of trying to build up the company. I think that his intention to bringing this client on was for his own financial gain instead of what’s best for the client. I explained to the owner of the clinic how I feel regarding this clients addiction and he wasn’t seeing it my way.
I had to get social workers involved because I felt like the clinic was enabling his addiction while they were promoting healing and self help….. (you can make up the rest of the story if needed)
Using this story, please follow the instructions listed below for the paper:
INSTRUCTIONS FOR PAPER:
Write about an ethical dilemma you faced and process it through the ideas we learned in the pyramid (knowledge, theories, principles, values).
Present a case in which the social worker is in conflict with the family, agency, colleagues, group, or community over this ethical dilemma. Describe the specific conflict situation.
Present the ethical dilemma in one or two sentences.
Utilizing the Ethical Justification Model (of Beauchamp & Childress), apply the model to your case. Begin with the background information:
A. Identify any value conflicts that may be present in the ethical dilemma.
B. Identify ethical principles and theories as they pertain to the ethical dilemma.
C. Identify possible courses of action and the benefits/costs and possible outcomes of each.
D. Make the decision/resolution and explain how and why you arrived at that decision.
E. Discuss how your personal values entered into the decision-making process.
It will be helpful to use bold headers for each section – such as “Deontological, Utilitarian, Autonomy, Justice…” and then explain how the dilemma would shift through each lens.
Throughout the paper, cite at least 4-5 relevant sources from the literature on the topic and on the value and ethical considerations.

Pathophysiology paper on Pyloric Stenosis
APA 7th edition Title page:
This is a separate page by itself, with the following information centered in the middle of the page: course title, paper title, student’s name, instructor’s name, and date.
Description of Pathology:
Start the paper on a new page.
In this section, you will describe the pathology (statistics about it, background information, etc.). Give as much information as you can about it but be sure it is relevant information and not just filler. It should be a comprehensive introductory section of the condition in one to two paragraphs.
Normal anatomy of the major body system affected: In this section, you will describe what is considered normal anatomy for your particular pathophysiology. For example, if you are discussing a disease related to the brain, explain what is normal for the brain from an anatomical standpoint. You should show comprehensive knowledge of the fundamental concepts and communicate information using scientific vocabulary. There should be little to no discussion of the condition itself in this section.
Normal physiology of the major body system affected: In this section, you will be discussing physiology. Keep in mind that when describing physiology, it isn’t enough to merely provide a list of functions of the body system (Ex: Neurons send signals throughout the body), instead, you need to be able to describe how it does it. The how is the physiology. There should be little to no discussion of the condition itself in this section
Mechanism of Pathophysiology: This section is likely going to be the most in-depth and longest section. In this section, you will explain your particular pathophysiology from a scientific standpoint. In the previous two sections, you explained what is considered normal, in this section, you should describe what the pathophysiology is doing that is causing these issues, how the normal anatomy & physiology is affected/different in a person with your condition. You should show a thorough understanding of the anatomical and physiological changes contributing to the disease. Some good keywords to search for when doing your research might be “Pathology of __________”, Pathophysiology of __________.”
Prevention: In this section, you will explain how your pathophysiology could be prevented. This should outline possible prevention protocols, or clearly indicate if none is available based on the current scientific literature.
Treatment: In this section, you will explain how your pathophysiology is commonly treated. Provide possible treatment protocols for the condition based on current scientific literature. Be sure to bring in nursing relevant information and how you might be involved in the treatment of the condition.
Conclusion: Finally you should summarize your findings. All good research papers should include a conclusion where you wrap up and summarize all of the important points made in your paper.

References:
As with the Title page, this should be a separate page by itself.
All references should be included in correct and complete APA format.
All references must be cited appropriately in the paper using APA-style in-text citations.
A minimum of three reputable sources are required for this assignment APA 7th edition Title page:
