This paper is designed to help you think about how you, as a nurse, can prevent a disease or promote health within a specific patient population. Design strategies for health promotion/primary prevention that will reach a group of people or a community (e.g. WPU students; pregnant women in a certain borough, etc.).

REAL WORLD APPLICATION: PLANNING AND DECISION MAKING ASSIGNMENT
INSTRUCTIONS
OVERVIEW
This assignment provides students with an opportunity to utilize their knowledge of planning and decision making by applying a specific cost technique / concept to a selected organization. Students will combine knowledge obtained from the textbook, peer-reviewed journal articles, and Discussion: Planning and Decision Making in applying the selected technique / concept to the organization and showing how it improves / impacts the organizations strategic allocation of financial resources.

INSTRUCTIONS
Select 1 of the 2 techniques/concepts discussed in your Discussion: Planning and Decision Making thread and develop a real-world application paper. Select a company that you work for now or have worked for in the past, or a company in your community of which you have sufficient knowledge. Show how the selected technique/concept would be applied to that particular business in its strategic allocation of financial resources. Your paper must be in current APA format and must include references from at least 7 peer-reviewed journal articles. The paper must be at least 5–7 pages, not including the title page and reference page.

Your task for this end of module assessment is to write a report critically analysing an NHS health information webpage and making subsequent recommendations.
You are to choose one of the following two ‘disorders’ as described on the NHS Health A to Z.
Borderline Personality Disorder.
Bipolar Disorder.
Your report is to contain two parts:
Part 1: 1750 words
Consider to what extent is it scientifically valid and practically useful to use Bipolar Disorder/BPD as a mental health diagnosis. Refer to critical theory/research in your answer.
Part 2: 1250 words
Referring to the NHS website, explain around 4-6 changes you would recommend making to the guide based on your consideration of critical theory and ideas. Refer to relevant research/theory/alternative sources to justify each recommendation. Example recommendations could be additions, subtractions, re-orderings, rewordings. They may be relatively minor or major amendments.
Your edits could be informed by (but not limited to):
critical ideas around mental health diagnosis/treatment,
ideas from discursive psychology/Foucauldian discourse analysis.
