Reflection on experience during teacher practicum

THIS IS AUSTRALIAN EDUCATION CURRICULUM

Please try and use mostly readings attached.

I have provided evidence and the focus area. I only need the Reflective part done with atleast 1 theorist that demonstrates why the evidence proves : “Manage classroom activities. Demonstrate the capacity to organise classroom activities and provide clear directions.” and why this might benefit the children.

The evidence is the daily schedule that we discuss with the children every morning about what we are going to be doing. SEE ATTACHMENT Focus area 4.2 (This is the layout and evidence)

A reflective statement for the focus area that moves beyond description and demonstrates why you have chosen the particular evidence, and how it develops your understanding of the relevant focus area including supporting evidence. Each focus area statement should be approximately one or two paragraphs in length ( approx. 250 words). With scholarly evidence and reflective discussion.
Your reflection needs to provide insight and into questions such as:
· What have you learnt and how may it have changed your professional, intellectual, personal, ethical development?
· What have you learnt about yourself as a beginning teacher and about the teaching profession that you may not have been aware of before?
· What would you do differently if you had to do this again, and why?
· What was the impact on student learning? How do you know this?

· Use first person when referring to your personal views and third person when referring to literature.
· You must demonstrate your ability to reflect critically and deeply upon the knowledge/experiences that you gained throughout your practicum.

Throughout your teaching and learning journey, you will be required to use the nationally approved learning frameworks (the Early Years Learning Framework or the Australian Curriculum) or the approved learning frameworks for your state or territory.

Part 2 100 word reply to Aurelio –
Dr. Scott,
In my own words, I would describe a user interface as the interaction that takes place between a user and the content of a website. Users interact with the content of a website by utilizing tools such as buttons and links that assist them in navigating the website. An example of the content available on an e-commerce site would include products available for sale, descriptions of the products, benefits of buying the products, and customer reviews of the products. When I think of all elements of an e-commerce website previously mentioned my first thought is of Amazon.
Amazon is an example of a website with a great user interface. They have useful links that allow you to shop by category and they even had a link for Back-to-School shopping, which is extremely useful with the new academic year beginning around the country. Their search bar made it easy to shop for products and the website presented diverse options and contained a lot of information regarding the product which makes consumers feel confident in the decision they are making. Amazon’s user interface must be working as they are one of the biggest companies around the world and their sales continue to improve.
As my fellow classmate Richard mentioned and I have had to utilize this website, the veteran’s affair (VA) website has a not-so-great user interface. Navigating the website was difficult and as I recall I had trouble completing any action such as requesting my records, applying for VA health care, and applying for my GI Bill benefits. You must click on too many links before you reach the page you are looking for. Thankfully, I have not had to deal with this website on a frequent basis.

Part 3 100 word reply to David
LA Fitness. Why?
Good morning, everyone. I am ecstatic about this week’s discussion topic because there has always been one business whose practices have always upset me quite a bit. The business I am referring to is LA Fitness. For those unfamiliar with this business, LA Fitness is a gym chain that spans the United States (US) and Canada. It does offer great services and it is very easy to initiate a membership with this gym chain. However, cancelling said membership is quite inconvenient for the customer.
Issues With UI Design
One of the five designer actions that promote good user interface (UI) design is providing a customer a way out. (Kendall, 2019, Pg. 420) LA Fitness currently has a fully functional website, and phone application, where customers can sign up for fitness classes, scheduling workouts with trainers, and even be provided with recommended workouts to do at home. A customer is also able to manage their account from the website and application. This includes the ability to change billing information, update personal information, and view account information.
Through the website, a customer can choose to cancel their subscription at any time. While navigating this unnecessarily long process, the customer must overcome one final hurdle before they can cancel their subscription. Upon completing the necessary steps online, the customer is provided a form which they must mail, fax, or take to the gym location in person. This is a poor system which is meant to inconvenience the customer enough to where many simply keep their membership and not utilize it. The gym, however, continues to profit from the customer because the subscription is a recurring payment. It confuses me that emailing the form is not an option, but this only further assists in my argument that this gym chain wants to make it a hassle for customers to cancel their subscription.

Aristotle Forum

Summarize the following passage, paying particular attention to Aristotle’s reasoning:

Presumably, however, to say that happiness is the chief good seems a platitude and a clearer account of what is still desired. This might perhaps be given if we could first ascertain the function of man. For just as for a flute-player, a sculptor, or an artist, and, in general, for all things that have a function or activity, the good and the ‘well’ is thought to reside in the function, so would it seem to be for man, if he has a function. Have the carpenter, then, and the tanner certain functions or activities, and has man none? Is he born without a function? Or as eye, hand, foot, and in general each of the parts evidently has a function, may one lay it down that man similarly has a function apart from all these? What then can this be? Life seems to be common even to plants, but we are seeking what is peculiar to man. Let us exclude, therefore, the life of nutrition and growth. Next, there would be a life of perception, but it also seems to be common even to the horse, the ox, and every animal. There remains, then, active life of the element that has a rational principle; of this, one part has such a principle in the sense of being obedient to one, the other in the sense of possessing one and exercising thought. And, as ‘life of the rational element’ also has two meanings, we must state that life in the sense of activity is what we mean; for this seems to be the more proper sense of the term. Now if the function of man is an activity of soul which follows or implies a rational principle, and if we say ‘so-and-so-and ‘a good so-and-so’ have a function which is the same in kind, e.g. a lyre, and a good lyre-player, and so without qualification in all cases, eminence in respect of goodness being added to the name of the function (for the function of a lyre-player is to play the lyre, and that of a good lyre-player is to do so well): if this is the case, and we state the function of man to be a certain kind of life, and this to be an activity or actions of the soul implying a rational principle, and the function of a good man to be the good and noble performance of these, and if any action is well performed when it is performed in accordance with the appropriate excellence: if this is the case, human good turns out to be an activity of the soul in accordance with virtue, and if there are more than one virtue, in accordance with the best and most complete.

Managing Quality and Risks/ Managing Waste in the work environment

Managing risk and ensuring quality requires skillful
resource management. Resource management enables a leader to operate from a
position of ability and planning rather than managing reactions to crises. Resource
management also lends itself to creative team building and the diffusion of
change.

To prepare for your monthly meeting with your team,
you have developed a presentation called Managing Quality and Risk. You would
also like to use the time to address increasing stress and rush during
transitions with patients and shifts. You have decided to create another
section in the presentation called Identifying Waste.

For this assessment, you will create a Microsoft
PowerPoint® presentation incorporating the details of both sections of the
assessment. Interpersonal communication skills are integral to presentation of
organized ideas and change.

Port Security

The topic for your research paper can be anything pertaining to port security including the diversity and inclusion of the work force. Choose your own academically rigorous port security focused research question and hypothesis.

Here is the specific format:

Title Page (APA format)
Abstract (150-250 words, no quotes or paraphrases. This is your “elevator speech” of the research)
Introduction (Research Question and Hypothesis)
Literature Review (Note this is not an annotated bibliography but a Literature Review)
Methodology – don’t simply state qualitative methodology.
Analysis & Findings
Conclusion and Recommendations
Reference list
Methodology: This section provides the reader with a description of how you carried out your qualitative research project, and the variables you identified and analyzed. It describes any special considerations and defines any limitations and terms specific to this project, if necessary. This section can be brief or more complicated, depending on the project, written in a single page. I want to see more than “I used qualitative methods”….what do you specifically mean? Did you use content analysis? Did you use Case Study? These questions are being asked NOW so that you are not surprised in other courses that require this to be included. Types of popular Methodologies include: (1) Case Study, (2) Content Analysis etc.

Analysis and Findings: They are not the same as conclusions. In the analysis component of this section you identify how you analyzed the data. The second part is the finding you got from your analysis of the data. The findings are the facts that you developed, not your interpretation of the facts. That interpretation is conducted in the conclusions and recommendations section of the paper. Findings will come from the prior research you examined and your analysis of those prior findings to create new findings for your paper. While there may be some facts that are such that they will stand and translate to your paper, the intent is to create new knowledge, so you will normally analyze the data to create your own findings of what facts that data represents.

Conclusions and Recommendations: This is the section where you give your interpretation of the data. Here you tell the reader what the findings mean. A great approach is to think about how the reader will react to your conclusion. Often the conclusions and recommendations sections will mirror the findings in construct as the researcher tells the reader what that researcher sees as the meaning of that data, their conclusions. Then, drawing on those conclusions, the researcher tells the reader what they believe needs to be done to solve/answer the research question. This section may include recognition of any needs for further research and then finishes with a traditional conclusion to the paper as a whole.

Remember, your paper should seek to answer a question that helps to solve the research question and validates or culls your hypothesis.

Technical Requirements

Your paper must be at a minimum of 10-12 pages (the Title and Reference pages do not count towards the minimum limit).
Scholarly and credible references should be used. A good rule of thumb is at least 2 scholarly sources per page of content.
Type in Times New Roman, 12 point and double space.
Students will follow the current APA Style as the sole citation and reference style used in written work submitted as part of coursework.
Points will be deducted for the use of Wikipedia or encyclopedic type sources. It is highly advised to utilize books, peer-reviewed journals, articles, archived documents, etc.
All submissions will be graded using the assignment rubric.
