“Return on Assets for banking is defined as Net Income divided by Total Assets. Net Income = Fee income + Interest income – operating expense. Total Assets = Deposit Accounts + Bank Capital” (Mpiinc, 2022). The business of banking involves taking capital from customers then lending it out to other customers at a higher rate. The higher rate allows the bank to make money. “The typical structure of a balance sheet for a bank is: Assets (property, trading assets, loans to customers, and deposits to the central bank). Liabilities (loans from the central bank, deposits from customers, trading liabilities, and miscellaneous debt). Equity (common and preferred shares)” (Corporate Finance Institute, 2022). There are reserve regulations that do not allow the bank to use the entire asset base. Banks attract stockholders due to the equity.

The ROA is low because in order for a bank to generate significant NPV and ROA, it is necessary to have a large amounts of paper assets. Which will be your loans and securities. Banks are the only ones that are allowed to issue loans and accept deposits. Banks will most of time, if not all the time still attract stack holders. The reason for this is because it is the nature of the business that is such a very little equity involved from the stockholders themselves. The borrowed amount is only used to lend to others and hence equity is intact.

A layout in terms of advertising is the strategic way the advertisement is put together for the audience it is intending to target. This is super important in print ad because you must create the ad in a way that it attracts the audience enough for them to remember the ad, shows them what you are promoting, does not look or seem unpleasant or boring, and gives them enough information. Bright colors is usually a way to attract the attention of people like orange, yellow, and green. Funny pictures or catchy catch phrases are also very good ways to attract individuals to continue to read into your ad and make them remember it. If you cannot show the product many people will forget your ad almost immediately because they have no idea what they are even looking for or what to expect so it is important to be creative and if you are a service and not a product to show before and after pictures of your service or whatever you can to provide the reader with a visual of what they can expect. Giving the most amount of information in as few words as possible is best because too much reading turns readers off a print ad should not take all day to read it meant to be quick and to the point provide more information on the website or elsewhere. There are many avenues when producing printed ads, you can do them yourself on Microsoft office, go to a store like Staples, UPS, FED EX, or Office Depot, or use websites like Vistaprint and these are only a few options there are hundreds of options.

A layout is rough draft of the advertisement in terms of flat media. In terms of something that will have fonts, images, information to convey, color schemes to stick with, and sizes of everything to consider, there will need to be a rough draft of all these variables put in front of you to ensure everything is right. This is basically graphic design at this point. There needs to be notice taken to what is distracting and what could be rearranged better. What color and fonts aren’t working? Is the message sitting right and is the information big enough to be seen? Every question was be asked at this point before the final copy is printed. This is the part I enjoyed the most, when I worked on published projects at school. The tweaking, and getting every detail just right.

The Windshield Survey is an activity worth 120 points.
Complete a brief windshield survey of your local area. You can do this by driving through an area and really noticing your community. Pretend you are seeing it through a stranger’s eyes. Are there sidewalks, people outside, businesses, police or fire stations, traffic, and parks in use? Look for what you see, as well as, what you do not see.
You are encouraged to narrow your survey to a Zip Code if you live in a larger town/city. You should survey the area at least twice – different days and times. This gives you a better overview of the area. Remember your key person interviews will be people who either live or have a vested interest in the area you survey.
It is helpful to have a family member or someone else drive, so you are able to survey the area and make notes. Please do not drive and make notes or go into an area that you feel unsafe.
If you have to get out of your car to see things, it does not belong in the windshield survey.
Hours spent on the windshield survey should be included in the Clinical Hour Log that is posted under Week One Module. Be specific in documenting your activities on the log.
The assignment should be completed as a Power Point presentation using APA 7th edition formatting. You should have a title slide and reference slide.
A minimum of five pictures should be included in the presentation. You may submit whatever you feel documents your findings. Do Not submit pictures of addresses, license plates or peoples faces.
Your textbook gives you a complete outline on page 383 Table 17.5 of the components that should be included.

Topic: Windshield Overview (90 pts)
Uses the textbook as a guide for the Windshield Survey. Addresses each category in a comprehensive fashion. There are 15 categories worth 6 points each.
Topic: Power Point (20 pts)
The windshield survey is presented as a Power Point. Feel free to use different colors, fonts, and formats so long as the presentation is easy to read and clean looking. You may use voice over or attach a video but this is optional and in no way mandatory.
