Causes of Poverty Lit Review

4 page lit review
THE AB IS ALREADY DONE AND ATTACHED. MUST USE SOURCES FROM AB
So far in the course, you have identified a general topic of interest for your research proposal, done a search of the research literature on the topic, and created an annotated bibliography.
Now it is time to synthesize what you have found in your annotated bibliography (AB) search into a review of the literature. This is the first component of your proposal. The lit review (LR) serves to introduce the reader to your topic and lay the groundwork for your research question. After reading your lit review, the reader should have a good basic understanding of your topic and why your research question is important. You can use the articles from your annotated bibliography, but can also add or subtract some.
Using the research literature you found through the development of your annotated bibliography as a start (with possible additional research, if needed),

Week 2 Assignment-Cody

Purpose: The purpose of this assignment is for students to select an image of Jesus and reflect on why that image is meaningful to them.
Overview: The New Testament begins with four books all telling the same story. In chapter five, Powell compares the gospels to portraits. While a coherent picture of Jesus emerges from the four gospels as a set, each individual gospel highlights certain things about Jesus. In this course, you will often be prompted to think about what each author seems to particularly emphasize. If you have read the Bible before, perhaps in church, this way of reading may feel a bit unfamiliar. By paying attention to the different emphases of each gospel, this class aims to construct a more nuanced and multi-faceted understanding of Jesus. Three Gospels—Matthew, Mark, and Luke—are called “Synoptic Gospels.” These three gospels share a good deal in common; “synoptic” literally means to see (-optic) the same way or together (syn-). They follow the same narrative outline, and both Matthew and Luke may have used Mark as a source (Luke even tells us he uses sources in Luke 1:1-3!)
Instructions: Take a few moments to look at and consider these images below:
Select one image from the above collage and in a 300-350 word essay, answer the following questions:
How does the image you selected make you feel?
Which image are you drawn to and why?
What does the selected image imply about Jesus?
