Explain and evaluate the ways quality assurance/improvement and clinical outcome measurements are supported by clinical information systems.

Students’ post:
Although many nurses entered into this profession with the thought of helping people at the lowest point, it is evident that hospitals are corporations that depend on financial stability as an end result. As a financial corporation, it is crucial to analyze the barriers within the everyday processes that are costly to the corporation which include medical errors, falls, hospital-acquired infections, and the slowing of the process of transitioning patients from the emergency room to inpatient, and then discharge.
It is for this reason that hospitals are under increasing pressure to improve outcomes because they are operating in a value-based care environment in which patients have become increasingly informed and are purposefully pursuing treatment at facilities that have a higher reputation for their standard of care. Many hospitals use the structured approach of quality improvement to evaluate their performances of systems and processes to determine if improvements are needed by relying on routine collection and analysis of data through the use of clinical information systems. It is necessary to foster an environment of creative exchange by creating a vision for quality by involving shared stakeholders and frontline members of the corporation and engaging these individuals to help define priorities for safety and promoting transparency of the need for cost savings. It is crucial to not only develop and agree on a plan to implement improvement activities but also to become transparent regarding current initiatives and celebrate the successes of current wins of the company. Evaluation of clinical outcome measurements is also dependent on the implementation of a strong IT system to record data, changes, and plans by using an electronic health record system (Eby, 2018).
Quality improvement, therefore, includes the use of data collection and analysis using information systems to improve processes within the health care industry. IT in healthcare leverages the use of EHR and health information exchanges to assist with quality enhancements such as generating patient reminders for preventative health checkups as well as providing access to laboratory, radiology, hospital, and specialist reports and records. The improvement of quality within it, therefore, includes management of software quality to ensure that the best product meets high standards and expectations of the patient, while meeting regulatory and developer requirements (Eby, 2018).

In what way does it explain or provide information about the solution or solutions?

For this assignment,
create a Word document that contains the information listed below for
at least three credible, expert-authored, timely (recent)
sources you could use for your Problem/Solution Presentation project.
(HINT: ECPI’S Online Library will be a perfect place to find such sources.)
At the top of your Word
document list the problem you are seeking to solve and the potential
solution or solutions you are researching. Then, for each source, provide
the following:
·
An APA Style References Page entry
·
A summary of the source (8-10 sentences) where
you explain specifics such as:
·

o Why the
information the source provides is credible.
o How you
could use this source in your problem/solution presentation project. For
example, what background information does it describe? In what way does it
explain or provide information about the problem? In what way does it
explain or provide information about the solution or solutions?
·
A paraphrase or summary of research that you
expect to cite in your presentation. Be sure to include the
proper in-text (parenthetical) citation for the source.
o Remember:
You should cite sentence by sentence. If a sentence contains any source information,
it should be cited with a parenthetical citation. This is true even if you are
putting the words of your source into your own words (paraphrasing). You are
still using the ideas from the source, and those ideas must be cited.
·
A direct quote of research that you expect to
cite in your presentation. Be sure to include quotation
marks around the quoted material and the proper in-text
(parenthetical) citation for the source.

What about leasing hospital space to vendors such as a McDonald’s Restaurant?

Review Greater Anchorage Area Borough v. Sisters of Charity and Barnes Hospital v. Collector of Revenue. Answer the following in a well-organized, two to three page essay.
How did the courts take such similar cases and reach opposite conclusions?
Which of the two interpretations do you find more persuasive?
What about leasing hospital space to vendors such as a McDonald’s Restaurant? How might that affect tax exemption?

Chapters 12 & 13 of the textbook should be used PROPERLY as a source.

What are the implications of these trends in voter turnout?

Very informal writing. Can be about 3 paragraphs. Please be sure to relate it back to any information in Chapter 10.
Voter turnout in the US is low compared to many other democracies around the world. Turnout among particular demographics is especially low. In this week’s journal, please answer the following questions:
1. Why do you think certain groups of people (particularly non-whites, people with lower levels of education, and young people) are less likely to vote than others?
2. What are the implications of these trends in voter turnout? How might this affect who wins elections? In other words, considering what you know about who is most/least likely to vote, what kinds of candidates or what parties are at an advantage/disadvantage?
3. What can be done to change these trends in voter turnout? In your answer, be sure to consider the reasons why certain people don’t vote.

What types of products which you generate with your information?

1. Clark (2013, p. 93) characterizes open source intelligence in the following passage:
“Open source material is perhaps the most valuable source of intelligence, and is typically the most easily overlooked by government intelligence organizations in favor of classified information. Its chief value is that it is relatively easy to obtain.”
Review the information in Chapter 11 of your text book (Open Source Information and Intelligence: a Perspective for State, Local, and Tribal Law Enforcement Agencies) of the book and render an opinion as to the validity Clark’s statement. Support your opinion with a discussion of the strengths, weaknesses, risks, and benefits to using open source intelligence. Finally, pick one source or type of open source that you believed would be most beneficial for strategic intelligence analysis (as the term is applied to focusing on criminal activity).
Clark, R. M. (2012). Intelligence analysis: a target-centric approach (4th ed). CQ press.

2. “Without analysis, there is no intelligence. No single methodology is used for intelligence analysis; rather, various approaches and analytic tools are used, depending on the type of data/information that are available and the type of analysis (tactical or strategic) that is being performed” (Carter, 2009, p. 262).
For this discussion, review the information on pages 262 through 269 of your textbook focusing on intelligence analysis. Then, select a crime problem of interest to you and identifying an analytical process that could produce valuable intelligence to address your identified problem.
As an example, imagine you are an analyst tasked with providing information regarding a series of car thefts within a given geographical area. Using one or more of the tools or approaches outlined in the textbook, what information could you retrieve and use to generate tactical level intelligence to address this specific problem? What tools would you use? What types of products which you generate with your information? And who would be the best suited to receive your final intelligence products?

Please answer these questions seperately. Textbook is attached.
