Common Core: Describe the Common Core, what is it? What is its purpose? Who supports (pro) the Common Core and who is against (con) against? What is your opinion.

To Prepare
Review the interactive media piece assigned by your Instructor.
Reflect on the patient’s symptoms and aspects of the disorder presented in the interactive media piece.
Consider how you might assess and treat patients presenting with the symptoms of the patient case study you were assigned.
You will be asked to make three decisions concerning the diagnosis and treatment for this patient. Reflect on potential co-morbid physical as well as patient factors that might impact the patient’s diagnosis and treatment.

1. Select two different assigned readings (articles).

Provide a critical summary of BOTH readings. What did you learn? What did you find interesting? Did the author(s) introduce any new or specialized terminology? Is it clear the author is in favor or
against a particular topic? How was it beneficial to family studies? Each critical
summary should be at least a FULL two pages, so four pages total for both
readings. If it is a little longer, that is fine. Be sure to apply
terms/concept(s) from the Modules, and/or the slide presentations.
Use at least two direct quotes with citations (ASA style) from an
academic source (such as text, module slides, or me) per response to
support your points. You may also relate the topics to your personal lives,
current events, and/or class lectures. Write one summary, then the next,
then include your reference page. It is all one paper, but the discussions are
separate. No late work is accepted. You must upload the entire paper as
ONE attachment file under ASSIGNMENTS. The attachment must be
Microsoft Word, Microsoft Works, PDF, or Word Pad (RTF) format. I

2. Papers must be typed. Use a standard 12 size font in either: Tahoma, Times New

3. Put your heading (name and such) in the header of the paper – you do not
need a cover page. Put page numbers at the footer of the paper. Before each
summary, write the title of the article and the author’s name/authors’
names.
4. Be sure to reference the author you directly quoted, even if it is from the
textbook or lectures. You should have a page at the very end called
“References”. Feel free to quote things I have said as well. You only need one
reference page. Wikipedia and Dictionary.com are not academic sources
– you do not need to use them. The only sources you need for this
assignment are your class notes, slides, and/or textbook. Follow the
American Sociological Association format for “Citations in Text” and the reference
page. Do an Internet search for “ASA style guide”.
5. When writing formally, avoid using contractions (can’t, don’t, won’t). Use the
full versions (can not, do not, will not). Do not use slang such as “cool”. Spell
out smaller numbers (twenty instead of 20). Do not end sentences in
prepositions (with, for, by, along, in, out).
6. Make sure you break your work up into paragraphs. Do not submit one long
paragraph for each response.

CASE STUDY #1:
You are working with an amateur bodybuilder who is 12 months out from a bodybuilding competition. Design a year-long periodized training program for the athlete with the objective of optimizing the client’s physique at the time of the competition. The training program should include the following:
A list of assessments to be performed at the onset of the training program
A warm up and cool down for each training day
A detailed year-long periodized training program including specific exercises, sets, repetitions, suggested rest times, etc. The program should include a Foundational Training phase, a Hypertrophy phase, and a Cutting phase.
An explanation as to why you made your recommendations for each phase of training.
Nutrition and supplement recommendations to support the bodybuilder during each phase of training.

CASE STUDY #2:
Create a training script demonstrating your understanding of bodybuilding training principles for one of the phases of a training program (Foundational Training phase, Hypertrophy training phase, or Cutting training phase). The training script should be completed within the following guidelines:
1. State your name, school, or association that you work for.
2. State the training phase that you are designing the program for.
3. Outline the layout of the training program for one training day. (NOTE: Training program should be specific to one of the aforementioned phases of training.) Provide an explanation describing how your recommendations are specific to the phase of training that you have chosen to design the program for.
4. Provide thorough descriptions of the coaching cues you would use for each exercise that you recommend. For instance, if you recommend that the athlete should perform a front squat, state the coaching cues you will use to get the athlete to perform the movement properly. These coaching cues should be written in a narrative format. The reviewer should be able to read your script and get a mental image of what is trying to be relayed.
5. The training script should be for one training day.
6. Include both a warm-up and cool-down routine with coaching cue descriptions for each drill.
7. The script should be 1500+ words typed and submitted in a Word (.DOC) or PDF format. For ease of review, please used Size 12 font in Black.

Paper discription:
The purpose of this paper is to demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of practice and theory in your area of specialization. Select a client, client system or target population from your graduate level social work field practicum. The selected client or client system should reflect your chosen specialization. For example, if you are a CAP student you should select an agency, community or other social intervention. If your specialization is mental health, you should chose an individual, family or small group with mental health and/or substance abuse issues and concerns. If your area of specialization is family and children, you should choose an individual, family or small group with issues and concerns related to family and children. The client system you choose for your paper should be a real case from your field placement. If you have an issue or problem with selecting a case from your field placement, please see or talk with your instructor. All exceptions must be approved by the instructor. In no circumstances are family members, friends, or characters from media to be used as the client system in the paper.

*This is the 6th part of a 10 part assignment. My specialization is Children and Family. The client system used is a family name the Mcdonalds and they problem is not being able to care for their childrens finanical and deveopmental needs. The assignment is broken down into 10 parts and will be critiqued, and the changes must be applied for the final paper. I have included the syllabus which has the directions for the paper. Intervention: 3-4 pages

You are writing a literary analysis of “Battle Royal” showing us how the story makes an argument about racism’s effects on communities and individuals or how it illustrates institutional/systematic racism at work.
