Write a paper on the Ethical Leadership and Organizational Culture Reflection paper
Class reflections should help you to intentionally and thoughtfully link your personal experiences to material discussed in class. They are intended to help you focus on what you are learning (or not learning), identify issues or concerns on your mind, and explore an idea more deeply. The goal is not to summarize the readings! Rather, you should analyze and reflect critically upon one or a few significant issues. To reiterate, ideally you will critically reflect upon selected aspects of the lecture by linking them to your personal experience (e.g., ethical dilemmas you faced at work or other courses). Please note that you should have been in the situation and not read about it or seen it on TV. Each reflection should be approximately 700 – 900 words long (double spaced & 1 inch / 2.54cm margins).
What topic can you write your reflection on:
It is up to you to decide when you would like to write the reflection paper. However, you can only submit 1 reflection paper per week and you must reflect on the current week’s topic within 1 week after we discuss the cases in class. In addition, you can only reflect on the service learning project once! The late submission policy is in affect for reflection papers that are submitted late.
You need to answer the following questions:
10% WHAT? (Very brief!!) A few sentences about what have you learned; What stands out to you, excites you, or challenges you?
50% SO WHAT? Connect the material with your past experiences: Why does this learning matter to you? Why does it stand out to you? Why is it important – to you?
30% NOW WHAT? Connect the material with your future plans: What do you do from here? How will you take this learning with you? Does this learning change your perspective, your career goals, or your interests?
10% Other considerations (Quality of writing, formatting, …)
Please use “What?”, “So What?”, and “Now What?” as headlines in your reflection.
In the end, your reflection should look like:
What?
…..
So What?
…..
Now What?
…..

Post #1: Friday at 11:59 PM PST (5 points)
You must answer all of the questions below, cite at least 3 readings (AuthorLastName PublicationYear, Page #), provide examples from the films, and apply an intersectional framework in your initial post. You will not see classmates’ posts until you have submitted your initial post.
Thinking about race, class, and gender, discuss one positive (or improving) element and one negative (or not-quite-there) element in Princess and the Frog. Connect your ideas to one of the films that we have watched since Week 5 and at least two of the readings.
What additional chapter from DDS did you choose to read? How did it help deepen your analysis of any of the films from the term? You can talk about any film even if the chapter didn’t address it directly. For example, if the chapter talked about Quasimodo but it made you think about Scar’s injury, talk about that.
In a sentence or two share what you are creating for your final project and your revised thesis statement. Remember, your thesis statement should be specific to your project and specific about the content you are working with. (“Challenging gender roles” is not specific enough. “Challenging the ways that girls are supposed to fall in love with princes” is.)
Post #2 and #3: Sunday at 11:59 PM PST (4 points)
Then, respond to two classmates’ posts and cite at least 1 reading (AuthorLastName PublicationYear, Page#) in one of your responses. For your responses to classmates, in addition to the more scholarly discussions you’ve been having, ask each other questions about your projects! Specific questions about content are always good, but also talk about the nuts and bolts/how-to questions. Who will be the camera operator for the film? How will you get kids to feel comfortable answering questions? etc. What sparks your curiosity about your classmates’ projects?
Post #4: Sunday at 11:59 PM PST (1 point)
Finally, post a final thought in your own thread or a classmate’s thread that can act like a conclusion for your thinking about these ideas this week. What did you learn from each other? After reading what your classmates have done, what else might you like to know more about this term?
Note: You will not be able to post anything after Sunday at 11:59 PM PST.

Explain how you would suggest any or all of these lessons to the natural resource organization and how they could be implemented.

Purpose
Think about your volunteer project organization or the alternative assignment organizations while reading the concluding chapter, epilogue, closing oli and Appendices A and B. Depending upon the natural resource organization’s mission statement and/or focus, do you see any connections that are being made or could be made with Dr. Vaughan’s eight provisions? If community involvement is key to the natural resource organization, can you offer any of these provisions as a potential solution to gain more involvement? Please explain why or why not in your post.
Be sure to review the Discussion Board Guidelines prior to posting your comments.
Prompt
For this discussion, you will use the eight provisions that Dr. Vaughan discusses in Chapter 7 to compare and contrast with the work your organization is doing within the community.
Explain how you would suggest any or all of these lessons to the natural resource organization and how they could be implemented. Perhaps they are already using some of these provisions, in which you can extrapolate on while still making suggestions for enhancing these practices. Possibly one or two of these provisions would greatly help. How would you introduce them?

Identify five guiding principles that will most effectively update your use of force policy.

Scenario
Your department has been involved in several high-profile use of force incidents that have resulted in community unrest. You have been tasked with improving your department’s use of force policy.
Preparation
The Police Executive Research Forum (PERF) has researched and recommended 30 Guiding Principles for use of force policies. From this list, identify the five principles that you believe are most vital to restore the community’s faith in its police department. Review Chapters 10 and 14 from your Community Policing Today: Issues, Controversies, and Innovations text for additional information.
Complete a 5–7 page report in which you:
Identify five guiding principles that will most effectively update your use of force policy.
Detail the steps necessary to incorporate each selected principle into current organizational operations.
Include details of what would be needed for each principle, such as training, equipment, or policy oversight.
Explain how you will communicate these changes to the community.
Suggest 2–3 specific methods to communicate results of these changes to the community.
Use five credible, relevant, and appropriate sources to support your writing.

Before you begin, read:
https://us.norton.com/internetsecurity-privacy-what-is-a-vpn-tunnel.html
OR search for
“tunneling protocols used in vpn” and choose an appropriate resource
from the Internet.

Background: The COVID-19 pandemic forced many organizations
to rapidly transition existing employees to a “work from home” situation.
The overall success of such arrangements has encouraged many companies to adopt
Work From Home (previously known as “telework” or
“telecommuniting”) for all or part of the work week as a permanent
strategy. In these situations, a secure means of accessing the organization’s
internal networks and resources must be provided to the dispersed workforce.
Virtual Private Networks are a frequently deployed technology solution capable
of addressing and compensating for the myriad privacy and security concerns
that arise in “Work from Home” or telecommuting situations.

VPN’s depend upon tunneling protocols as foundation
technologies. For this briefing paper, identify and discuss the four main
tunneling protocols that can be used to provide virtual private network access
between remote users and a company’s internal (corporate) networks and
resources. Provide examples of how each protocol can be used within a VPN
solution.

Format: this week, your deliverable should be formatted as a
5 to 7 paragraph briefing paper. You should have an introduction, analysis
sections, and an appropriate summary section. Include citations (in the text)
and references (at the end) to support your work and allow your readers to fact
check your analysis and conclusions.

In your critiques for your peers (2 different students),
focus on providing suggestions for strengthening the briefing paper (added
content, refocused content, etc.) Grammar, punctuation, and other writing
mechanics will be addressed by your instructor and should not be part of your
critique.
