business dilemma, identify the important issues, and develop sound conclusions that flow from your analysis.
For this reason, it’s important to use a logical framework for breaking down and analyzing the case. Therefore,
the following template for analyzing a case study is a useful guide.

 Implementation. In this section, you will provide information on how to implement the solutions you
have recommended. You will:

o Where relevant, you should provide an estimate of the cost of implementing the solution, including
both the financial investment and the cost in terms of time.
 Conclusions. This is the section in which you summarize each issue or problem and present your
argument for each chosen solution. Here you will:

o Present plausible solutions for each of the problems, keeping in mind that each problem will likely
have more than one possible solution.
o Provide the pros and cons of each solution in a way that is practical

As you develop your Research Proposal, you should revisit the Project 1 Overview and the guidelines of P1 to be sure you are completing all the project requirements.
Think about the Research Proposal you will be developing — it must be an organized, academic piece of writing of 3-5 pages. You will include sources you have found through your initial research, which should be in MLA or APA format, or another academic format you choose (with instructor approval). This includes both the bibliographic page and any in-text citations.
Below you will find two student samples of research proposals that are from another type of writing class. While your proposal will be different, these examples show the well-structured thinking and style of effective research proposal writing, which you will want to produce in P1. These examples are used with permission and intended to help you think about your own proposal – they should not be duplicated.
