Determining Student Due Process and Privacy Rights

In this application, you will assume the role of a principal and consider the due process rights of two students, one of whom is served in special education.
Follow the steps to compose a 5- to 7-page paper (not including the title and references pages) for your response.
Write an introduction and conclusion for your paper.
Use APA format for the title page, references page, and in-text citations.
Step 1. Review the case study and the questions/prompts below as if you are the principal and Julia and Marcus are real students at your school.
Step 2. Respond to each set of questions/prompts in a well-developed paragraph.
Cite all references used. Use not only the course materials or materials you find through your own research but also relevant laws and district policies.

Case Study and Questions
A sixth-grade student, Julia, has been enrolled at your school, of which you are the principal, for about three months. Julia is prone to brief, disruptive outbursts in class and has had trouble getting along with her teachers and classmates. She also has difficulty paying attention in class and does not sit still during tests and quizzes. Julia has an Individualized Education Plan (IEP), which includes a behavior plan. Just after Julia’s teacher passes out a quiz, Julia jumps up from her desk and runs around the classroom shouting profanities. In the process of running around the room, a marijuana joint falls out of Julia’s pocket. Campus security is called to restrain Julia, and she soon identifies another student from a different classroom, Marcus, as having given her the drugs earlier that day.
(a) Who will participate in the meeting in which potential consequences for Julia’s outburst are discussed? What typically are their individual roles in the IEP process? How will Julia’s IEP team determine the appropriate consequences for her regarding her classroom outburst?
(b) Assuming Julia’s parents wish to challenge the disciplinary action suggested for her by the IEP team, what recourse do they have? According to the law and school district policy, to what due process rights is Julia entitled in this situation?
(c) What actions will you take toward Marcus? Assuming Marcus did give Julia the drugs, how will you determine whether or not he has any more drugs either on his person or on his property? Explain what types of searches, if any, would and would not be warranted under the circumstances? What student privacy rights should be considered?
(d) What consequences will Marcus face as a result of his actions? According to the law and school district policy, to what due process rights is Marcus entitled in this situation?
(e) Identify aspects of your school district’s code of conduct, student discipline policies, and due process policies both for general and special education student. Which aspects are effective and ineffective? Use evidence to support your answers. Suggest improvements based on the course materials, the law and district policy, and your research.

Topic: Write a Colonial America timeline. Include what you think were the important dates/ events of the Era. Instead of a formal Final Exam the timeline assignment serves as your Final Exam.

-Consider the questions: What happened? Include the basics. Why were these events important? How did they shape the Era? Why should they be studied?

-Length: 125 words PER event. 10 events

1 date = 1 event.

Your 1st 10 dates will count. Do NOT write over 10 events.

DATE: event title- i.e. what happened- DAY- MONTH- YEAR not just years

IMPORTANCE: your short analysis of what happened and why it was important. At least 125 words PER Event. But be concise.

Discussion Board 2

Discuss two examples of songs referencing the police (and the context). Make sure to include the relevant lyrics, as well. Is the song praising the police, or criticizing the police? Make sure to note the date the song was produced. Are the same criticisms raised over time, or are different issues brought up in the songs throughout history?
For example, “L.A.P.D.” by The Offspring criticizes the police for using excessive force and for being overly militarized, released in 1992.
*Do not use NWA’s “F*ck the Police” as your example! Be creative!*

due Jun 5
The Medieval In Your Life
No unread replies.
No replies.
For this project, you will have a chance to reflect on how Medieval Humanities can help you in your personal life and your career goals. To complete this project for full marks, you must follow these three steps:
Create a PowerPoint Project of at least 10 slides. In these slides, first identify your intended major and life goals. Second, look at the textbook, my own material, and conduct outside research find ways that studying medieval humanities can connects with the goals you identified. Note specific examples. For example, if you want to work in the medical profession, note important medieval doctors, medical innovations, medical ideas and also show how medieval thinking and ideas could be relevant to the “soft” skills of your job, such as communicating with and understanding clients. Post this PowerPoint in this discussion post.
In the discussion post itself, answer the following question: Given what you have just done in the PowerPoint, how can you most effectively study and spend time in this class to get the most out of it? Write at least three full paragraphs.
Respond to the posts of two other students. Engage with the goals the student set in their PowerPoint and note ways the student can find other meaningful material in this course. Be sure to address what material or study focuses you think might make the course more interesting or useful to the other student.

PROBABILITY PROJECT

The goal of this project is to analyze different classic games for the probability that occurs in them. You may work alone or with a partner.
Your job:

2. Analyze the probability of different events that can occur in the game. You need to find 5 different probabilities giving a specific example from different aspects of the game. Then calculate the probability that this event occurs. You need to have one of each: basic probability, addition, multiplication, permutation and combination.

Instructional Design Project Part 3

INSTRUCTIONAL DESIGN PROJECT: PART 3 – DETERMINING THE INSTRUCTIONAL
CONTENT ASSIGNMENT INSTRUCTIONS
Using a systematic approach, this third part of the Iinstructional Design Project is where you will
determine the goals, objectives, and learning outcomes that will frame the teaching and learning
decisions. Identify and sequence your instructional goals and align these with the organizational
goals. You will then determine the performance objectives through goal, task, and content
analysis. Refer to Figure 8.1 Steps for Converting Results of Task or Content Analysis Into
Performance Objectives (Rothwell, 2016). Conclude this section of your project by classifying
the performance objectives as demonstrated in Figure 8.2 Levels of Objectives in the Cognitive
Domain (Rothwell, 2016). Consider the affective, motor, and cognitive domains as you plan.
You will add at least 5 new references from literature articles, include 5 or more references from
the textbook chapters covered in this module, and format your paper using the most current APA
style guide.

A Christian’s social role

A sense of belonging is a basic human need. Abraham Maslow (1943) ranks “belonging” as third in human needs in his model “Hierarchy of Needs”. The more an individual feels that they fit in and connect with others, the more satisfied they are with their lives. How is it that some of us find a sense of belonging from our family, some find belonging from friends or in a church, while others find a sense of belonging on social media? What role do the ideas of caring and insensitivity play in this sense of belonging?

Please use To Kill a Mockingbird and this website ( https://www.whatchristianswanttoknow.com/4-christian-roles-in-society/ ) and biblical references to write the essay.

The UF Health team closely follows you as you await transplant and following transplant, which helps to improve patient outcomes.

While waiting for an organ, you will receive a thorough yearly examination. This is because livers can become available quickly, and you need to be physically ready for surgery at short notice.

Liver Transplant Surgery
Your liver transplant surgery will last between four and eight hours. Following surgery, you will likely be in the intensive-care unit (ICU) for about two days, and then spend another eight to ten days in a regular hospital room, so we can provide close follow-up care after surgery to help monitor your medications and ensure you heal properly.
