Write from the point of view of an economic decision maker of a small country.

Analyze 7 economic situations and their outcome using the scenarios and graphs provided. Analysis must draw a connection between the selected interest rate, income tax rate, corporate tax rate, government expenditure, and the approval rate for that year. Each year has a set scenario, result graph, and overall approval rating. Write from the point of view of an economic decision maker of a small country. Use outside sources to back up your findings. I have provided screenshots of each years economic scenario, the the results, and feedback. In the picture of the notebook you will find the economic decisions made for each year.

Briefly state how the work of the users in the office influenced your design.

Module 5 Assignment
Network Plan

Blue and red network cables connected into network switches.

Tip: Complete Module 5 – Quiz: Network Layout of a Star Topology ahead of this activity.

You were selected to design a small peer-to-peer network for a new facility that has six computers and a networked printer. Each desk computer must have a wired network connection. The rooms should have wireless access for mobile devices.

For this assignment, you will utilize Gliffy, (Links to an external site.) a software application to create a basic network diagram depicting a star topology with a switch as the central communications node. The focus here is on the network communications equipment for this LAN. Include only that equipment and end node devices on the network diagram. There is no need to draw out the layout of the physical space.

In addition to providing a network diagram, you must also provide a short essay that describes the LAN equipment that is being used and their connections. In the essay, be sure to explain why each device is positioned where it is. Why this is the focus of the response, be sure to also briefly state how the work of the users in the office influenced your design. For example, if the business that uses the LAN is a small video-based news streaming service, they will probably need more performance from both their network and ISP than a small rental property management office might need.

Gliffy
Gliffy is the diagramming software you will utilize for this activity.

Requirements
Depict a star topology that uses Ethernet.
Provide a ‘cloud’ shape or another symbol for the ISP WAN service. Label the symbol as ‘DSL,’ ‘Cable,’ or ‘Fiber Optic.’
Connect to the ISP service using a DSL modem, cable modem, or, if using fiber-optic service, an optical network terminal (ONT). Do not use a combination device such as a modem/router.
Connect the LAN router (wireless router) to the ISP WAN service device. The LAN router provides many capabilities to include: DHCP (Networking Computing), (Links to an external site.) NAT translation (Networking Computing), (Links to an external site.) port forwarding (Techopedia), (Links to an external site.) QoS (Networking Computing), (Links to an external site.) and software firewall services. Do not use a router/switch combination device; however, a router with integrated wireless capabilities is acceptable.
Use a managed switch as a centrally-located device to provide wired network connectivity for the seven end nodes (six desktop computers and a printer). Connect the switch directly to the main LAN router.
Label all network devices in the LAN (brand and model names are acceptable but not required).
Connect the seven end nodes directly to the central switch.
Label the specific type of physical media (cables) being used to connect the seven end nodes to the central switch, the central switch to the LAN router, and the LAN router to the ISP service device. Also, label the type of cable used to connect the ISP device to the ISP WAN.
Use a screen capture tool such as Snagit (Links to an external site.) or the Microsoft Snipping Tool (Links to an external site.) to copy your diagram and paste the copied image into a Word document below the written essay. When you do, be sure to copy so that the diagram and labels are readable, i.e., not too small.
Optional:

Provide a separate network firewall hardware device in your diagram. Locate the firewall between the ISP WAN device and the LAN router.
To alleviate some of the workloads placed on the LAN router, you could disable the wireless functionality of the LAN router and provide a separate Wireless Access Point (WAP) to provide wireless network access for the mobile devices (e.g., cell phones, iPads, etc.).
Connecting the Wireless Access Point (WAP) directly to the primary router will enable isolation of the wireless LAN (WLAN).
Please proceed to the Deliverable section.

What opportunities and challenges might those trends pose to the organization?

IHP 450 Final Project Milestone One: Short Paper Guidelines and Rubric
Prompt: If you have not already done so, select one of the two organizations below (Venice Family Clinic or Joslin Diabetes Center) on which to base your final project capital budget proposal. This will be “your” organization for the remainder of the course. Before you step into the shoes of a manager within that organization, you need to familiarize yourself with the organization’s finances and mission as well as begin to draw connections between healthcare trends and the organization. This assignment will guide you through the selection of your role and department as well as your preliminary review and analysis of the organization.
First, start with your department selection. You must identify a department which is likely to exist within the organization. The department can have a clinical function (e.g., surgery or radiology) or a support function. If you do not have experience working in healthcare, you might want to identify a department with a support function that is similar to one in which you have worked in the past, such as accounting, human resources, facilities, etc. Doing so will give you more insight into the potential needs of the department. Creating your proposal will require close analysis of historical budgetary information for the organization, research regarding healthcare trends, and careful alignment of your proposal to the organization’s mission, vision, and values.
Second, review the financial statements and information provided in the links below regarding the organization. You do not need to do a complete analysis of the financials at this point. The goal of your review at this point in time is to acquaint yourself with the basics of the organization’s finances. How do expenses compare to revenue and assets? How do the materials provided portray the organization’s financial condition?
Finally, after you have familiarized yourself with the organization, consider healthcare trends alongside the organization’s mission and current financial condition. What trends are likely to impact the organization? What opportunities and challenges might those trends pose to the organization? How might all these factors impact the organization’s mission moving forward?
To complete this assignment, the following items must be addressed:
● Describes a department likely to exist within the organization
● Describes the organization’s financial condition
● Identifies healthcare trends that are likely to impact the organization
● Describes the opportunities and challenges those trends might present to the organization
● Explains potential implications for the organization’s mission

Organization #2: Joslin Diabetes Center Financial Statements

Through this resource, you are able to review previous financial statements for the Joslin Diabetes Center. If you choose this healthcare organization, review the two most current, available, consolidated financial statements to support your work.

Write a brief essay that relies on primary documents to compare aspects of the two most famous attacks by foreign actors against the United States: the Imperial Japanese Navy’s attack on Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941, and the terrorist attacks by al-Qaeda against the United States on Tuesday September 11, 2001.

You are not to write a general report on the two attacks, but to analyze a specific topic related to both. A few possible topics to explore (don’t try to do all of these):
How news coverage of each attack changed over time (whether measured in days or months)
The range of public opinion on the attacks and what should be the appropriate response
Signs of political divisions—blaming one side or another
Racist or xenophobic reactions
Conspiracy theories that evolved (this will require looking beyond the year of the attack, but I want you to examine the conspiracies as historic topics—don’t just report the latest conspiracy theories on the Internet today)

Your task:
Familiarize yourself with the details of the attacks, the nation’s response, and public opinion about the attacks and the responses.
Conduct research with at least two different sources for each attack.
Potential primary sources:
Newspaper or magazine reports from the time you are analyzing.
Photographs or films/videos from the time (not documentaries made much later)
Describe the impact of your story at the time it happened and why you find it interesting today, or relevant to history students.
Include a list of your sources (does not count toward the 150-300 words). You don’t have to use a specific notation style; just give me enough information to find your source on the Internet.
