For Odysseus, he receives, first of all Glory from his challenging encounters, for instance with the Cyclops, the Sirens, Circe, even Calypso; sexual favors and other comforts (shelter and food for instance) from the latter two, and help returning home from the inhabitants of Phaeacia, and others. They on the other hand tend to be gratified by observing the laws of Zeus, which require hospitality—the Cyclops states explicitly that as the son of Zeus brother, Poseidon, these laws don’t apply to him. They are happy and flattered to be in his august company, after all he is famous for being key fighter on the winning side of the Trojan War. Here again the Cyclops is an exception—what he gets is a few good meals of Odysseus’ men, obviously not worth the maiming he suffered as a result of the encounter…

For this assignment, you have been hired by Brooklyn College to evaluate its use of these tools. In today’s virtual environment, these activities have become central to an organization’s communication objectives.
A. You have been asked to examine two specific tools – the Facebook page and Twitter account of (a) Brooklyn College, (b) another senior or community college of CUNY of your choice, and (c) NYU or Columbia (your choice).
