World Regions in Global Context: Oceania

There are two parts to this discussion forum prompt, though the first two are a very simple exercise that should only take you a few minutes minute to complete. Please engage in this thought exercise and then be prepared to type up your response in the discussion forum space:
From the Maori haka dance that the New Zealand national rugby team – the All Blacks – perform before international matches (see below), through to the cultivation and promotion of terroir (Links to an external site.) with respect to the increasingly global New Zealand wine industry (which Nick Lewis speaks about in this week’s case study), to the linkage of Kiwi Peter Jackson’s Lord of the Rings film trilogy with the promotion of the New Zealand tourism industry, this small country in Oceania has made a big splash in peoples’ imaginaries around the world. You might be interested to know that Wisconsin has a larger population than the entire country of New Zealand! Consider Nick Lewis’ case study discussion of the human-land interaction in wine production and the economics of New Zealand wine.

What is terroir? How is landscape often an important part of Kiwi identity and of the global marketing of Kiwi wines?
Can you identify ONE North American OR European agricultural product – a beverage, food item, etc. – that is strongly shaped by local/regional physical & environmental conditions, and where this relationship between the product and the place is also an increasingly positive, valuable and recognized/visible one? Discuss in sufficient detail so we know why you identified this particular agricultural product.
2. Please consider the vulnerability of the Oceania region to climate change.
How does the history of the region affect the vulnerability (positively or negatively) of its people to the biophysical changes brought on by climate change?
What do you see as possible initiatives that could address the vulnerability of the Oceania citizens to sea level rise? Be careful to consider the relative roles played by Oceania communities and the international community. (Please note that we are looking for responses that go beyond simply building higher sea walls!).

Juvenile Justice System Final

For this assignment, students will write a paper analyzing a major problem facing today’s juvenile justice system. Some examples might be disproportionate minority confinement, recidivism, gang issues and in particular the growing influence of female gangs, drug use, juvenile curfews, zero tolerance policy for /with school searches, socio economic factors affecting delinquency and parental liability for juvenile offenses, life without parole for juvenile offenders.
A central purpose of the project is to have you to analyze, evaluate, and simulate the way the juvenile justice system has or has not addressed a problem and to propose a solution. The body of the paper must include the following:
Please be sure to provide an introduction to summarize and define your topic, including a clear statement of the problem or issue of concern
In addition, you will need to select a social work based theoretical framework for your issue of focus and describe its relevance to the topic being discussed
There must be a discussion of the implications of proposed solutions for the juvenile justice system with regard to your topic
Provide an evaluation and any conclusions regarding possible methods of managing or addressing the problem your opinion on the issues raised—supported by research
Include references regarding current relevant research from a minimum of ten (10) peer-reviewed sources (outside of course material).
The paper is expected to have content and thoughtful analysis on the topic on a graduate level. Sources should be a combination of scholarly works, textbook and primary sources. Please be sure to relate your subject to larger (broader) juvenile justice issues as found within the course readings.
This paper will need to be typed, double-spaced with a cover page, font should be Times New Roman size 12, and inclusive of traditional (normal) one-inch margins.

Role of the Nurse Practitioner

Based on last week’s reading, you now have an idea of the role of the APRN, and legal/professional issues in prescribing. As a future nurse practitioner, you have the authority, based on your state nurse practice act, to prescribe medications for the patients for whom you will provide care, and the responsibility of prescriptive authority is more than just simply writing a prescription correctly.

Discuss the role of advanced practice nursing in safe prescribing and 3 prescribing barriers for APRNs:
1. You need 1 initial post, and 2 replies to 2 different students.
2. A minimum of 2 paragraphs is required for all posts (initials and replies).
3. Support all posts with at least 2 cited peer review references within 5 years of publication (references cannot be older than 5 years).
4. All posts are to be written in APA 6th edition format as required by the university.

Thanks again and I look forward to your postings!

the importance and effect of fans on sports

this is a research paper with the topic chosen above. please don’t forget the bibliography and I want the full paper (intro, body, conclusion)

“Best First Draft”
This first draft is a way to get the first wave of ideas on paper and make sure you are on the right track for your research. This first iteration is to make sure you have a clear understanding of the background and literature.
A good first draft should have an introduction with the thesis statement presenting what you will discuss and how. It will tell the reader the research question that drove this project (perhaps it changed as you researched more), a body that analyzes the literature thoughtfully, and applies and argues for the theoretical framework that you choose. You should also outline your methodology- (how you collected data via fieldwork). Then outline the potential data to be collected and a space for analysis and conclusion. I don’t expect the (data, analysis, and conclusion) to be completed for the first draft, but it is okay if you do. Also include a page for bibliography.
Give your paper an appropriate, meaningful title, and put your name and class number. PLEASE NO COVER SHEET. Make sure you have proofread the paper at least twice. This means taking the time to finish and read it aloud. DO NOT SUBMIT AN UNEDITED PAPER for the draft assignment or you will lose crucial points. After you turn in your paper, we will revise them together in class for participation points. The idea is to make sure that the language is clear, so your peer-review doesn’t waste time fixing grammar errors.
FORMATTING:
6 pages FULL TEXT (minimum) NOT including bibliography
Your name, Meaningful Title, date, NO COVER SHEET
Times New Roman, 12-point font, double-spaced, with page numbers
Paper is free of grammatical errors
WHY DO THIS?
This is a chance to put our class discussions, lectures, fieldwork and research skills into practice. This project trains in analytical process and help hone your critical thinking and writing skills.
WHO IS THIS FOR? (AUDIENCE)
This paper should be written for the professor as the audience. Write in a clear, serious academic tone. This means the paper should be free of grammatical/editing errors and neatly organized.
WHAT IS IT WORTH?
This best first draft is worth 45% of the Ethnographic Research Paper (Abstract 5%, First draft 45%, Final paper 50%), which is 30% your entire grade, plus presenting it which will be another 10% of your final grade. See syllabus for details
FINAL NOTES
These papers are here to help you perfect your academic tone. While we will discuss this more in class, academic tone is focusing on writing clearly and concisely. This means not writing-like-you-speak. You can write the stream of consciousness first, and then go back and edit for wordiness, clarity, and making sure you stay in the same tense throughout your paper. Avoid rhetorical questions and heavy usage of “I” unless you are saying “I argue…” This should be a generally well-organized, articulate paper.

10 Occupational therapy annotated bibliography

Hi, there
10 annotated bibliography are needed to be done. They are all about Occupational Therapy, accept the case if you are familiar with this filed of study.
1. Please have a look at the “Guidelines of writing Annotated Bibliography” first, and please use the Template that is provided in the guidelines to finish this case.
2. You do not have to find any extra reference, I will upload all the reference of these 10 articles in a file called “Article reference”. Please fill in the Template in APA7th in the citation part.
3. There is no actual word limit for this job, 200-250 words for Content Summary, 50-100 words for Evaluative Statement is an example for sturcture this job. So each of the AB is about 300 words
4. Some articles are ONLY required for specific pages. I have already put “Only pp” for those articles in their names
5. Don’t worry about the Workshop Number, I will do it myself.

Inflation rate

For this assignment, you will collect and use appropriate economy data to support your position on whether this high inflation will:
Continue for an extended period, lasting into the fourth quarter or later of 2022, or
Be over by the end of the summer 2022.
Collect at least one additional data that will help support your position of whether the inflation will continue for a while or if it will end soon.

Relationship Analysis

Select a relationship from a book, TV show, or movie to analyze. This may be a romantic relationship, friendship, or family relationship. Provide some background information about the relationship (e.g., type of relationship, length of the relationship, brief description of the people involved, etc.). Select three concepts from class readings or lectures that are relevant to the relationship being analyzed. Define and explain each concept. Your explanation should be clear enough for a naive reader to understand. Provide at least two specific examples from the relationship that illustrate each concept. Clearly explain how they are examples of these concepts. Discuss the competence of the relationship partners. What competent behaviors do they engage in, and what advice would you give them to help them become more competent communicators? Refer back to the standards for assessing competence discussed in Module 1

Communication Breakdown of Mars

Preparation (note: source is the following video)

In 1999, NASA launched its Mars Climate Orbiter, a $125 million satellite that was supposed to gather data about weather on the red planet. But the spacecraft failed to make it into orbit, instead burning up in the Martian atmosphere. After investigating the cause of the failure, NASA determined that there was a discrepancy in the measurement units used in the software controlling the orbiter’s thrusters–one piece of software used metric units, while another piece used English units (pounds). The difference in units appeared to be the result of a miscommunication between NASA’s engineers and those at Lockheed Martin, who had been hired as a contractor to build the spacecraft.
Watch the following video for more on the Mars Climate Orbiter failure:
You can view the transcript for “NASA Measuring Failure” here (opens in new window).
For Discussion
Please respond to ALL of the following questions in your initial post:
What barriers to effective communication do you think might have contributed to the Mars Climate Orbiter failure?
Based on what you learned from the video and any additional research you conducted, identify the factors that you think played the biggest role in the communication breakdown.
How do you think a miscommunication like the one responsible for the Mars Climate Orbiter failure could have been avoided? What practices could NASA implement to make sure this kind of miscommunication doesn’t happen again?
