Hello All,
For this assignment you will read the “Voices of Freedom” excerpts from Dubois and Ida B. Wells on pages 666-667 in your book Give Me Liberty (you can access the book electronically) You will then answer/summarize in 1-2 pages the following questions provided:
1. What is Ida. B. Wells’ main argument/assertion regarding lynching laws and who does she blame? (Minimum 5-sentences.)

Explain how the anatomical structures are well suited to digesting food and producing digestive enzymes.
Discuss the digestion of foodstuffs as a process. Approach the topic from an anatomical perspective. Explain how the anatomical structures are well suited to digesting food and producing digestive enzymes. What is the chemical basis for the breakdown of food products into the end products which are suitable for absorption? You may wish to discuss the role of glucose, gluconeogenesis and glucogenolysis.

Do you think that free speech guarantees our right to talk about anything, or do you think discussing sensitive topics should be limited?
The first amendment to the United States Constitution guarantees Americans some
important freedoms, including freedom of speech. However with the recent movement
towards political correctness in speech, some say that our first amendment rights to free
speech are being threatened. News stories report that individuals have been fired for
making a remark that is not “politically correct,” college campuses are instituting speech
codes banning certain words, and even works like movies and books are being banned.
Some argue that political correctness has gone too far.
Do you think that free speech guarantees our right to talk about anything, or do you think
discussing sensitive topics should be limited?
Write a five-paragraph essay taking a position on this issue. Be sure to clearly state your
argument and the three main points of support you will use. Your essay should be
adequately developed with plenty of support.

Discuss the possible reasons for Solver not being able to find any feasible solutions.
Decision making is an integral part of any organization. When dealing with a complex business problem, a task of the decision maker is to choose a solution that optimizes the objective and satisfies the constraints. A solution, for which all problem constraints are satisfied, is called a feasible solution. To find a feasible solution is often the most difficult task as there should be no contradiction between the constraints. Another difficulty occurs when a feasible solution does not make sense in a given situation, even when all constraints are satisfied mathematically.
One example is when trying to minimize the calorie intake in your project Solver arrives at a value of zero calories by making all food portion amounts equal to zero. While this is mathematically correct, in fact, this means no eating or drinking. This is hardly an acceptable solution.
Solver is designed to find solutions. In the best case, Solver returns the optimal solution (all constraints are satisfied and the objective function is optimized). In the worst case, Solver is unable to find any feasible solutions for various reasons.
Discuss the possible reasons for Solver not being able to find any feasible solutions. Give examples (at least, one of each) of theoretically optimal and practically good solutions when applied to your food log project. In 10-15 sentences, address the principal options for further optimization of your food log Solver model and discuss when results of a Solver can be considered acceptable for making an adequate decision.
