It is very important to produce reports that are concise and clear in meaning. The overuse of descriptive writing can lead to ambiguity and hence leave the reader in doubt as to the author’s intended meaning. In order to aid clarity, reports are divided into sections, e.g. introduction, method, results, discussion, conclusion and references.

Quality Associates

pAssignment #6: Chapter 9. Case Problem 1. Quality Associates, Inc. – 4 pts. Due at the end of Module 6.
Prepare a managerial report that addresses the following issues.
Conduct a hypothesis test for each sample at the .01 level of significance and determine what action, if any, should be taken. Provide the test statistic and p-value for each test.
Compute the standard deviation for each of the four samples. Does the assumption of .21 for the population standard deviation appear reasonable?
3. Compute limits for the sample mean around 12 such that, as long as a new sample mean is within those limits, the process will be considered to be operating satisfactorily. If the mean exceeds the upper limit or if the mean is below the lower limit, corrective action will be taken. These limits are referred to as upper and lower control limits for quality control purposes.
Discuss the implications of changing the level of significance to a larger value. What mistake or error could increase if the level of significance is increased?
Expectations: Copy & paste the Excel displays into a Word file if you can. Upload the Word file (or the Excel files) for credit. Comments in which you describe your findings should be included with each display. APA formatting is not required for weekly assignments but adhere to the rules of written English in your punctuation, grammar and spelling. Course Learning Outcomes: 1, 2, 3 & 4

The Philadelphia Negro and The Black Metropolis, authors W.E.B. DuBois, and Horace Cayton and St. Clair Drake use the concept of “a city within in a city”

In their classic works, The Philadelphia Negro and The Black Metropolis, authors W.E.B. DuBois, and Horace Cayton and St. Clair Drake use the concept of “a city within in a city” as a lens to explore Black urban life. By contrast, Thompson’s “When the Black Saint Go Marching In” suggests many Blacks were familiar with cities in Africa, and brought their ideas of beauty and culture to the Americas whether in New York or Havana. The “city within the city” is “unique and distinctive” with it’s own “origin, genesis and destiny” and offers a means to chart the physical and social environment of the Black Metropolis.
In 4-5 pages draw on the concept of “the city within a city” to answer fully one of the following sets of questions below using The Philadelphia Negro, The Black Metropolis, & Flash in the Spirit.
What is its condition and how do the people live?
Of who is it composed and how did it come to be. Why does it persist?
3. How do the people think of themselves, and how do you characterize the “world of custom” – wish, whim and thought?
All papers must be typewritten utilizing proper 1-inch margins, double line spacing, a 12pt font, and 4-5 full length pages. Papers must be written using formal English and Chicago Manual Style citations. Answer each question fully, offering detailed information to support your position.

In addition to the questions posed in the assignment, papers will be graded on the following:
Addressing all elements of assignment.
A clear thesis statement.
Superb organization, a logical argument.
A clear introduction and conclusion.
Numerous and specific supporting details.
Attention to language, excellent vocabulary.
The absence of typos, misspelled words or grammatical errors.
Proper citation.

an environmental issue Writing in creative writing

CREATIVE WRITING | Poetry
Poems can inspire and illuminate; a poem about the environment can move the reader to action or to tears. Poetic images can be literal or metaphorical; the poet can distill facts or amplify into the realm of imagination. The poet finds ways of using form and style to emphasize content, but whether formal or free verse, the end result will touch the reader.
Poems can be in any form or style but will ideally use imagery and clear expression to evoke an emotional and/or intellectual response in the reader. Poems should address an environmental issue directly or indirectly. Simply mentioning a river or a mountain will likely be insufficient, but the poetry need not be didactic.
