Agency Report
Prepare a minimum 15-page agency report that analyzes issues confronted in a police department setting. Please check the Final Report Rubric in the syllabus and read the instructions below.
You are a data analyst in the Police Department of Formdale (imaginary city), California. The 2020 Census census had
the city population at 124,564.
Your task is to write an report that includes the most important crime and department-related statistics. You don’t need to use all available data. It’s up to you what you pick for the report. You can use any technique we learned during the
semester. You are free to clean, recode or collapse variables to make them more suitable for the analysis. Use
academic articles to support your argument. You can find a list of recommended articles in Course Materials.
The min 15-page report should have 7 main sections:
Executive summary (1 page)

Create multiple charts and tables to summarize and visualize your data. Each chart/table should be interpreted in text. Analyze trends if data are available for multiple years.
Create charts in Excel and copy-paste them to your main Word document. Submit only your final report as a Word or PDF file (no need for your background Excel sheets).
Google other police department reports to get some ideas. But don’t copy their exact structure because they typically usee long PR narratives to describe and advertise the department. Your focus should be on data and facts.
USE THE FILES ATTACHED FOR REPORT DONT HAVE TO USE IT ALL ALONG WITH ANY OF THESE ARTICLES.

“Marketing Excellence: BMW” case study
Case studies are an essential learning strategy in business classes because they provide an opportunity for you to critically analyze events that have taken place in real-life businesses. This develops your critical thinking and research skills as you research the competition and industry in which your business resides in order to formulate a recommendation for the challenges faced by the company.
For this unit, review the “Marketing Excellence: BMW” case study on pp. 273 of your textbook. This assignment will be comprised of two parts; one part will ask you to respond to questions, and the other will require you to complete a case analysis.
Part 1
Evaluate this case, and respond to each of the following questions using both theory and practical managerial thinking.
Examine and apply the consumer-buying process for BMW. Identify the steps and the application to BMW. How does this process assist the marketing team at BMW?
How could data analytics be used to research the consumer in order to ensure a strong understanding of overall business and marketing outcomes at BMW?
Within the case, several clearly different target markets are identified. What does BMW do well to target each of these groups, and what could it do better? Within your response, include the process of segmentation.
Your Part 1 response must be at least two pages in length. Follow APA Style when creating citations and references for this assignment. Note that you will submit Part 1 and Part 2 in one document.
Part 2
Complete a case analysis of BMW. This requires that you conduct research on BMW beyond the case study material in the textbook. In the case analysis, you will look at the situational analysis, problem, and alternatives, and you will provide a recommendation. Refer to the instructions below as you construct your analysis.
Situational Analysis
Discuss the external environment through the compilation of a PEST (political, economic, sociocultural, and technology) analysis.
Discuss the internal and external environment through the compilation of a SWOT (strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats) analysis.
Problem
Identify at least one organizational problem that BMW is currently having or one in which you project it will have in the future. Base this upon your research and critical thinking.
Alternatives
Compile three or four potential marketing-related solutions to the problem above. Remember that these are potential alternatives; you will not select all of the alternatives to solve the problem.
Recommendation (Marketing Strategy)
Select one or two of the alternatives above to solve the problem that you identified in this case analysis.
Discuss your rationale for choosing these and not the others. Include supporting research that will increase the depth of your analysis.

LEADERSHIP AND COPING WITH STRESS
LEADERSHIP AND COPING WITH STRESS
Assignment Overview
Three Classic Leadership Styles
The earliest research on leadership styles was conducted by Kurt Lewin (1939) and his students who identified three basic styles: autocratic, democratic, and laissez-faire. The autocratic style is directive, assertive, aggressive, and controlling in relationships. Leaders with an autocratic style use strict policies and procedures to control the work environment. Followers have little power and are unable to challenge authority. The leader with a democratic style is open-minded, interactive, egalitarian, and collaborative, and focuses on policies and procedures less than the autocratic leader. Followers are a part of the decision-making process at all levels. The leader with a laissez-faire style uses a hands-off approach, giving followers a significant amount of autonomy to complete tasks, determine goals, and make decisions. This type of leader focuses on policies and procedures less than the democratic leader. It should be mentioned that the laissez-faire style can be “risky” and can create chaos for followers due to a lack of supervision.
Classic Leadership Styles
(Lewin, K., Lippitt, R., & White, R. (1939). Patterns of aggressive behavior in experimentally created social climates. Journal of Social Psychology, 10, 271-299.
A general in the military may have an autocratic style of leading, while the dean of a college may have a democratic style of leading, and a retail manager may have a laissez-faire style of leading.
Case Assignment
For the Case Assignment, conduct some research using the online library and then write a 2- to 3-page paper in APA format, comparing and contrasting the three classical leadership styles and the pros and cons of each style. To help you get started with your research, locate and review the following articles online in the library:

play critique
This
is meant to be a critique of the technical aspects of any play. You are to
comment on the scenery, lighting, costumes, sound, and any props used. This is
not a critique of acting, dancing, or singing ability, please leave these
aspects out unless they are directly related to a technical aspect such as
sound levels affecting singing. Please spend a few sentences on each technical
aspect and discuss how they either helped or hindered the show. Make sure to
mention why you feel as you do. Spelling and grammar do count, so please be
aware and proofread your piece.
Having the right product at the right place and time at the right cost and quality is one of the biggest challenges an operations and supply chain manager encounters. To successfully meet customer needs, supply chain professionals must accurately forecast and support operational needs. This requires robust forecasting, inventory, and information management capability.
Context: Having the right product at the right place and time at the right cost and quality is one of the biggest challenges an operations and supply chain manager encounters. To successfully meet customer needs, supply chain professionals must accurately forecast and support operational needs. This requires robust forecasting, inventory, and information management capability.
Discussion: Think back to the last time you went to the store or performed an online search for a product you wanted to buy and found either an empty shelf or that the product was no longer available.
Think about how you felt. What did you do? Now you have a better understanding of how a company’s customers feel when products are not delivered on time.
Based on your own personal experience or a related Internet search, identify a time when you experienced or witnessed a fulfillment failure. Assess why it happened.
As you dissect the fulfillment failure, consider how each of the following may have contributed to the problem.
Forecasting—that is, did managers underestimate demand? If so, what went wrong?
Inventory— that is, did decision makers run too lean, leading to a stock out or shortage? If so, what went wrong?
Information— that is, did managers have all the information they needed to make good decisions? If not, why not? What information is accurate and readily available?
What else might have contributed to the fulfillment?
If the experience you are sharing comes from your work experience, please share how you and your company resolved the issue. What did you do to fix the underlying causes in order to make sure your company did not suffer a similar fulfillment failure again?
Inclusivity, Racial Diversity, Social Justice and Systemic Equity Analysis
This final section should address how you would advocate for fair and equitable policies that are conducive for poor people to advance (consider a Grand Challenge population) Therefore, you need to write some specific agency policy statements that would better serve those who are impacted by agency policy. Your discussion must be persuasive. This is your moment to exercise your advocacy skills. This is truly your moment to shine. Remember, as you advocate for applicable policies, you should include a funding/budgeted section, and you may include partnerships with other agencies, city units, etc., that will fulfill your goal. Outline your analysis as follows:
Introduction
Statement of the Problem (Choose a Grand Challenge Initiative)
Ideology/History
Describe the Policy to be analyzed
Describe how the Policy been implemented
Unintended Consequences
Gaps in Policy and Practices
Proposed Changes, Protocols and Processes
Budgetary Ideas
Macro Practice Skills Needed to Fulfill Policy’s mission
Evidence of Professional Identity
Recommendations
Conclusions
All students should submit a 20 page analysis. Please proofread more than once. The analysis must be double space and typed; include a cover page. Use block-quotes if quotes are longer than one sentence. You must use APA both within-text citations and reference cited page. The reader should be able to discern your editorial comments and researched information. To avoid plagiarism, cite all sources of information used.
