Thesis Help

Hellp rewrite!

You need to come up with a title as well as an abstract (that is due as an assignment on Sunday).
2. Your intro is unfocused and all over the place. You state one research question at the start and then another at the end. You did nothing to set up the reason for your inquiry. You have a discussion on at last 3 different topics and do not offer any logic for how or why they are connected to your research question. It is clear that you do not have a clear idea of what it is you are addressing in the thesis, which likely means everything to follow will be incorrect.
3. Your entire literature review is for a third and fourth topic, and it does not apply to the topic you proposed to me, and it cannot be answered with GSS data. See my comments for details.
4. You have decent summaries of the ideas from Durkheim, Weber, and Marx about religion, the problem is none of it applies to an analysis of the effect of income on religiosity at the individual level. There is nothing here you can use to derive a hypothesis from. This entire section is not useable.
5. For the methods, you have SOME of the information you need but there is a lot of confusion and a lack of organization. You also did not clearly explain the sample (how you got it) or why a comparison of proportions test is appropriate to test your specific hypothesis.
6. For the analysis, you did not follow ANY of the tutorials I posted…not one. What this means is that everything in this section is wrong and cannot be used.

Chapter 9:
Ecology of the Mass Media
Use the space below and on the back of this page
to take notes on Chapter 9. Use the Learning Objectives on p. 328 and the
Summary on p. 370 to focus your notes. After completing your notes, complete the three reflective questions at the end.

Chapter 9 Reflection Questions:
Think
about how much media and the types of media you watched growing up. Now
think of how much media and the types of media a child in today’s world
uses. Compare: What are the biggest differences?

Describe
a couple of personal examples of your experiences with screen media (TV,
movies) when you were a child. Did any adult co-view the TV or movies with
you? If so, how do you think this affected what you thought about the TV
shows and movies?

These
days, what do you think are the best ways for adults to monitor and
mediate all the media children consume these days?

The Major Research Project asks you to research something about food that interests you. You may choose any topic related to food and food culture. You are also welcome to expand the work you’ve already done for the Primary Sources Paper. The goal of this project is to demonstrate critical thinking, research skills, and proper citation.
PART 3: Research Paper (8-10 pages, at least 8 scholarly sources) – 20% of final grade
It needs to have a specific purpose and audience of your choice.
It needs to begin with a thesis statement that is specific, focused, thorough, and relevant to your topic.
It needs to include a variety of types of evidence, such as facts or statistics from credible sources and examples from credible sources
Must utilize summary, paraphrasing, synthesis, and (sparingly) quotations
It needs to incorporate at least 8 scholarly sources, including the most relevant research from your annotated bibliography
Sources must appear as in-text citations and in the works cited using MLA format.
General Reminders:
Format your paper in MLA style, referring to the guidelines on the Purdue OWL website.
To avoid plagiarism, every single sentence that contains source material of any kind needs to properly introduce it and use in-text citations. Only “common knowledge” (information generally accepted as known by most people, which people wouldn’t question the truthfulness of) is exempt.
Use third person perspective throughout formal papers (except when bringing in personal experience, when you can use first person perspective. Avoid all use of “you.”)
Whenever working with source material and others’ ideas in general, adopt a tone of respectfulness and professionalism. It’s important even if you disagree with something to explain it objectively and fairly and to be professional in your explanations of possible weaknesses with it or other perspectives that should be considered and why.
Avoiding Plagiarism
Make sure you are familiar with plagiarism guidelines as outlined in the syllabus—the work you turn in needs to be your own. Every sentence that contains source material must also contain a proper attribution to the source. Proper attribution includes both in-text and Works Cited materials.

Company Cash Flow

There is a common phrase in business: “Cash is king.” “Cash flow is the life-blood of a company. Without it, a company will fail” (Hicks, 2012). Yet, companies often have to take risks that could potentially jeopardize their cash flow (e.g., new projects, growth, capital budgeting, etc.). Assume you are the CFO of a struggling company. While you do have a positive cash flow, it is minimal at best. If something does not change soon, the company will go under. Fortunately, your product development team has just created a new product that will not only save the company from financial demise but will also revolutionize how the industry does business. The problem is that the product is still 2 years away from being able to be sold to the public, and you will run out of cash within the next 6 months. How would you propose obtaining the funds needed to keep the company alive and thriving for the next 2 years until you are able to see a return on the product development? How would you keep the stakeholders happy?
