 Correct example: “500uL of Solution A was transferred into Solution B”.
Results: States and presents the data you collected. Include figure (s) and refer to the figures in the text.
 Example 1: “as seen in Figure 1, the bacteria grew faster on glucose…”
 Example 2: “…a significant increase was seen (Figure 1).”
 Each figure must have a title, and appropriate labels and axis legends should be included,
so that each figure may stand alone.
 Do not discuss what the data means.
Discussion: The discussion reiterates the hypothesis, the results, and what they mean.
 Briefly repeats the data and discusses what they mean in context of the hypothesis.
 States any mistakes/difficulties/future changes to the experiments.
References: This section is a list of all reference materials that you cited in the report in the order of appearance. Use CSE format. List the sources of information that you use to prepare the lab, perform the procedures, and prepare the report. You should cite any laboratory handouts, information sheets, or other material distributed to you that pertain to the experiments. Step
1: Import the Microsoft Excel data file into SPSS
1. Save the Module 4 Application dataset (Excel file) to your computer.
2. Open SPSS, select “Open an existing data source,” highlight “More Files,” and click OK.
3. Look to the bottom of the Open Data dialog box and use the “Files of type” drop-down
menu to select Excel file (instead of SPSS). Locate the folder where you saved the
Module 4 Application dataset Excel file, highlight it, and click OK.
4. In the Opening Excel Data Source dialog box, make sure “Read variable names from the
first row of data” is checked and click OK.
5. The data should now be imported into SPSS.
Step 2: Create an ungrouped frequency distribution table for each of the following:
AGE, SEX, GROUP, CHNG_CHOL, HDL, and GLYHB
1. Click Analyze > Descriptive Statistics > Frequencies.
2. Highlight AGE, SEX, GROUP, CHNG_CHOL,HDL, and GLYHB. Click on the arrow button to

Research Scenario

A
researcher is interested in the effect of a new medication on serum cholesterol,
HDL cholesterol, and glycosylated hemoglobin of adults. The researcher randomly selects a sample of
40 (20 male and 20 female) participants who have been diagnosed with high
cholesterol. Assuring equal distribution of males and females, the participants
are randomly assigned to one of two conditions (or groups): Following pretest measures of serum
cholesterol (CHOL), High density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL), and

Create a thesis statement, and back up your claim with support/evidence from the text. Support should contain clear, specific examples from the story you are analyzing, as well as documentation for all text references. Include at least 2-3 quotations from the poems in each body paragraph of your essay, for a total of 6 quotations.

You must find 3 articles from a Literary Database (Literary Reference Center or Ebsco Host) and use them within your paper, for a total of 6 quotes total from your secondary sources. Remember, a critical literary article is not just a google search, but it is an article written by an expert in the field who is adding understanding and importance to the work.

When you find a source in Ebsco, look at the right side of screen and click “Cite” then scroll to find the MLA formatting. It does the Works cited entry for you! Copy and paste to your essay and fix any indentions, fonts, etc. to make it work.

If your secondary article about the story quotes from the actual story, do NOT use those quotes as part of your secondary research. You can get those quotes from the original story, so do not pretend that is your research. Your secondary source research needs to say something enlightening, analytical, interesting about the story, the characters, the themes.

Follow MLA format: Use size 12, Times New Roman font and 1-inch margins; double space. Include a Work Cited page. It is not included in the length requirement; it should appear on a separate page at the end of your paper.
