The FDA regulates the manufacture, distribution, and market of tobacco products in the United
States. It’s main restriction of the sale of Tobacco is to children. For my final paper, I would like

The Tobacco Control Act describes the laws and policies that are enforced in Trinidad and
Tobago. They are laws preventing the use of tobacco for health purposes, also talks about the
market and demand for the product. For my final paper, I would like to compare the laws and
regulation against the usage of tobacco between the United States and Trinidad and Tobago as
well as price.

This article by Truth Initiative talks about the importance of tobacco taxes. How the economic
side such as price increase affect the usage of tobacco products? This article also gives statistical
data about smoking related illness and questions why federal tax on cigarettes specifically has
not risen since 2009 and which I will also question in my final paper.
