Does a modern historian such as Dailey understand the topic or person in a different way, or does Jet’s initial interpretation generally correspond to what she wrote?

Choose a specific topic or person from Chapter 8 or Chapter 9 of Building the American
Republic by Jane Dailey. Then search issues of Jet to discover how the magazine reported on that
topic or person in the moment. A link is provided in Blackboard. Write an essay (300-400
words) that compares and contrasts the perspectives of your textbook and the magazine. Does a
modern historian such as Dailey understand the topic or person in a different way, or does Jet’s
initial interpretation generally correspond to what she wrote?

the writing assignment for Unit 4 is comparable to the one for Unit 3, except now you will use Jet for research. Please keep in mind that I am familiar with the magazine and already know what Wikipedia says about it. Focus on the person or topic of your choice from Chapter 8 and/or 9. Remember that your research should be limited to the years 1954 to 1968, the same years covered by those chapters.

It can be any 3 meals, that is up to you. For example breakfast, lunch and dinner in one day.
For the pie chart, it’s the macro-molecules not weighing them. You can find that info on the food items online or on a free app like myfitnesspal.
example a bagel: 1.39 grams of fat, 55 grams of carbohydrate with 1.68 grams as fiber, and 11.1 grams of protein. Add up each item’s macromolecules per meal and make a pie chart. It is not about the calories. This is to track if you are getting the recommended intake.
