Cholera Risk Assessment Presentation

**My topic is Cholera.** The EPA is a general document to help you understand what a risk assessment is and what it means. Talks about the steps of doing a risk assessment. It’s an explanation of what’s involved in a risk assessment and what the steps are and mean. There are different types of risk assessments, one is an environmental risk assessment and one is a human health risk assessment. Environmental risk assessment looks at risk in the environment and a human health risk assessment looks at the risk from an agent directly to humans and this assignment is a human health risk assessment. The presentation is narrated and I MUST have a scriipt to say for each slide that is clear and numbered by the slide it goes with. A PowerPoint presentation must be used so that when you submit it, it can be run through the plagiarism software. Audio narrating each individual slide separately is easiest through PowerPoint. Should be 12-15 mins. maximum including all narrations. So not too many slides that it can’t fit in the time limit. Must have at least 10 references minimum. It should not sound scriipted or being read from a scriipt. It should sound like you’re teaching everyone. Like you know what you’re talking about and have studied it and memorized what you want to say. Only bullet points! No copying of complete sentences and make sure graphics are easy to see. Not too many words per slide vs. the graph/photo used. Bullet points and paraphrased. For infectious disease topics- lots of information at the CDC website (unless it’s a non-reportable disease), published studies could show data and examples of outbreaks. Only have to use the source once to cite it and count it. The EPA website may also be good. Avoid websites that are not verified like American Cancer Society is a valid source for information, so newspaper articles and magazine articles are not valid sources for this. Looking for peer-reviewed scientific research articles and the best source for this is PubMed.gov or MEDLINE database. Use journals and research sources indexed in PubMed for peer-reviewed journal/article information. Use more search times to filter or narrow the search down. Best Match filter might help you a lot.

I will upload a document with very specific instructions that must be followed. I will also upload the rubric that this will be graded on. And the EPA document that explains what a risk assessment is. The textbook we use for this course is: Textbook

1- Conceptual Estimate & 2- Loader Production

Answer the 2 of this questions:1- Conceptual Estimate• Submitting a text entry box or a file upload• Estimate the cost of a 25,000 sf warehouse building in Lansing. Several similar buildings have been constructed in the last several years in the same location. Two years ago, a small 20,000-SF structure was completed for $3,400,000. What is the estimated cost for the new warehouse? (80%)• What would the cost of the building be in Las Vegas? (20%)• Hint: Follow the example in the presentation.2- Loader Production• Submitting a text entry box or a file upload• Estimate the minimum and the best production in ton per hr for a track loader using a 4.00 cyd general purpose bucket. The loader is being used to stockpile dry earth. Efficiency: assume a 55 min-hr. (70 % of the credit)• Check for tipping (Tables 9.8 & 9.9 provide info) (10%).• How many days are needed to stockpile 24,000 lcy of earth ( the loader works 8 hours a day) when the loader is at minimum and best production. ( 10%)• If the loader’s O&O cost is $160.00 per hr and the operator’s cost is $58.00 per hr. What is the unit cost ( $ per lcy) (10%)•and I will put the files.

The Endocrine Case Study

U‌‍‍‍‌‍‍‌‌‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‌‍‌‌nit 3 Assignment: Endocrine Case Study • Instructions -Use references for this assignment only five years old Assignment Objectives: • Describe the pathophysiologic manifestations of the disease(s). • Identify and select appropriate interventions including diagnostic tests and nursing interventions. • Analyze physiological and psychological responses to illness and treatment modalities Purpose: Examine case studies related to endocrine system and answer the assigned questions. This assignment should help refine your clinical/critical thinking skills. Assignment Description: Answer the questions related to each of the patients provided. Your answer must follow APA 7th edition format. Submit the answer in the assignment area of your course. Patient 1 – The parents of an 11 year old girl bring her for an office visit. She has been developing normally and has been healthy and active. Her parents report that for the past several weeks, she has been feeling tired and weak, drinking more fluids than normal, and has been urinating so much she has wet the bed at night. Two days ago, they noticed that her breath smelled "like fruit" and she lost 8 pounds these l‌‍‍‍‌‍‍‌‌‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‌‍‌‌ast weeks. Yesterday she began breathing fast and deep. a. Present your initial diagnosis. b. Describe the pathophysiologic explanation(s) to support your diagnosis and the clinical symptoms presented. c. List the test(s) you would perform to confirm your diagnosis, the rationale for each test ordered, and the results you would expect if your diagnosis is correct. d. Describe your recommended treatment(s) and the rationale to support your recommendation(s). Patient 2– A 45 year old man is being seen because he has been experiencing vision changes, a burning sensation in his feet, and decreasing amounts of urine when he uses the bathroom. He has a long-standing history of hypertension and hyperlipidemia. Your physical exam reveals retinal hemorrhages in both eyes, and decreased sensation to moderate touch in the soles of his feet. A spot urinalysis shows microalbuminuria, and a stat Basic Metabolic Profile (BMP) shows decreased Glomerular Filtration Rate (GFR). a. Present your initial diagnosis. b. Describe the pathophysiologic processes related to your diagnosis that explain the signs/symptoms, and lab results obtained. c. State the effect of his symptoms on his life expectancy and the rationale for‌‍‍‍‌‍‍‌‌‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‌‍‌‌ your answer.

Identify one issue or area that you observed during the nurse leader interview or during the QI meeting requiring change for patient outcomes.

Quality Improvement process follows a specific process to plan, implement, and evaluate changes in healthcare. It begins with selecting a clinical activity for review. There are clinical practice guidelines and standards that reflect best practices.

I. This assignment will require that you choose ONE of the following:
1.Select a retrospective quality improvement project from the literature
2.Identify one issue or area that you observed during the nurse leader interview or during the QI meeting requiring change for patient outcomes.
II. Using the Plan Do Study Act (PDSA) cycle, Write a ten (10) page paper about the above quality improvement project and its process by:
a) Identifying the need for change
b) Review the literature and evidence-based practices (EBP) to support change and select a solution for change.
c) Adapt the Change Theory as a framework to the QI project and explain how it can be used in the implementation.
d) Indicate the inter-professional team you would choose to review the area of change.
e) Select the tools/methods of data collection to measure current status of change and indicate how data is collected (weekly, monthly or quarterly). State who would be collecting the data.
f) Discuss how data would be analyzed and create a chart such as flow chart, line graph, fishbone diagram, histogram or a pie chart to analyze data
g) Establish measurable quality outcomes by using a benchmark and nurse-sensitive indicators
h) Select and give a detailed account of how plan would be implemented to meet outcomes
i) Estimate what the projected data collection would be to evaluate the implementation, and note if achievement outcomes were met (Search the National Database of Nursing Quality Indicators (NDNQI) and compare your retrospective or projected data
j) Summarize the impact the change will have on nursing and patient outcomes.

III. Create a Power Point Presentation of 7-12 slides (not including cover slide and slide for reference). Power point should be informative and professional. The student is encouraged to include hyperlinks, audio or visual aides to help the learner understand what is being presented.
IV. Upload power point to discussion area on week 15 in Reflection discussion. Each student will use the discussion board as the presentation resource for the power point, student will follow the discussion board requirements to review and response to classmates’ power point presentations.

Using the Krueger, Ernstmeyer, and Kirking article, describe the data collection method.

Using the Krueger, Ernstmeyer, and Kirking article, describe the data collection method.

Responses should address all general criteria identified in Box 14-1, page 223 in your textbook and then either the criteria for questionnaires or interviews or other methods identified in the box.
Copy the criteria into a Word document and answer each question briefly in bulleted format. Remember you are on an elevator ride. (Refer to the Sample Weekly Assignment for clarity.)

Identify the target populations addressed by the bill.

Select a bill that has been proposed (not one that has been enacted) using the congressional websites provided in the Learning Resources.

Part 1: Legislation Grid

Based on the health-related bill (proposed, not enacted) you selected, complete the Legislation Grid Template. Be sure to address the following:

Determine the legislative intent of the bill you have reviewed.
Identify the proponents/opponents of the bill.
Identify the target populations addressed by the bill.
Where in the process is the bill currently? Is it in hearings or committees?
Part 2: Legislation Testimony/Advocacy Statement

Based on the health-related bill you selected, develop a 1-page Legislation Testimony/Advocacy Statement that addresses the following:

Describe how you would address the opponent to your position. Be specific and provide examples.

What examples or evidence will help support your claim? What sources will you use as Exhibits?

For this assignment, you will develop an argumentative claim (my claim is that physical activity improves mental health) and argumentative strategy about your research topic using the sources from your annotated bibliography. You should categorize all of your annotated bibliography sources into Background, Exhibit, Argument, or Method sources. Your activity should include the following:

Your argumentative claim about the research topic: Now that you have conducted some research on your research question, what is your position on the question? Your claim should be a clear and argumentative, as in, there should be multiple positions that reasonable individuals may believe.
Background sources: What background information will a reasonable person need in order to understand your topic and your claim? What sources will you use as Background information?
Exhibit sources: What examples or evidence will help demonstrate the importance of your research topic? What examples or evidence will help support your claim? What sources will you use as Exhibits?
Argument sources: What is your position on the research topic compared to the sources that you have already read? What sources do you plan to refute, refine, extend, or affirm as Argument sources?
Method sources: What are the key terms or concepts on your research topic? Are there any sources that you will use as a Method source?
Source reflection: Do you have a mix of sources in all categories of the BEAM framework? Are there categories that have more sources than others? What kinds of sources do you think you need to find next to help strengthen your argumentative claim?
