Clinical Students: Case presentation (10% of grade)
Each student will develop a 1500-2000 word written a case presentation of a patient (past or current) involving complex medication management issues and psychotherapeutic approaches. Students must not include HIPAA protected information in their presentation. A complex medication management case refers to a patient prescribed two or more medications, and at least one of the drugs is a psychiatric medication and the patient has a mental health diagnosis. If you have not worked in clinical settings, then contact the instructor who will develop a hypothetical case with you.

The case presentation will draw from information about the pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics of medications, as well as the FDA approval status of the drugs, psychodiagnostics, psychotherapeutic approaches, and the art of medication management within the context of integrated medical and behavioral health care.
