Explain how about leading others in solving a perpetual problem in which there are considerable amounts of competing opinions, views, and values?

C‌‍‍‍‌‍‍‌‌‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‌‍‌‌omponents within an Evidence-Based Decision-Making Process Have you ever had to solve a difficult problem by yourself? Explain how about leading others in solving a perpetual problem in which there are considerable amounts of competing opinions, views, and values? Certainly, there are many pitfalls to avoid when making a decision. Yet, why do we read or hear so many news items about leaders—quite successful in their careers, by all accounts—who are making what are perceived to be poor decisions? We are focused on a framework that you can use no matter the circumstance which will enable you to make decisions with greater confidence. As you begin this assignment, you may have already begun to reflect on your own decision-making skills. Take a brief survey from MindTools on your current decision-making skills: https://www.mindtools.com/pages/article/newTED_79.htm. You will use the results as part of this assignment. Here you will find a series of 18 questions that will generate an immediate summative score after you have answered each question. A score interpretation matrix will provide you with an initial baseline for you to consider specific to your decision-making process. You will use these results in this assignment. You will also be introduced to how leaders can begin to engage in an evidence-based decision-making process that will improve decision acceptance among/between stakeholders. Within the research on the topic of decision-making, you will typically find seven components that scholars view as making-up a decision-making framework. These seven components, which build on each other and thus are considered to be figurative steps to effective decision-making, encourage you as a leader to: 1. Identify the decision. 2. Gather information. 3. Identify alternatives. 4. Weigh the evidence. 5. Choose among the list of alternatives. 6. Take action. 7. Review and reflect on the decision. We w‌‍‍‍‌‍‍‌‌‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‌‍‌‌ill continue to emphasize how deliberate, purposeful leaders incorporate the seven steps and, thus, are more likely to sustain positive change and produce more desirable, long-term results. Be sure to review these resources (attached) carefully. You are expected to apply the information from these resources when you prepare this assignment. Assignment: Instructions Reflect on your decision-making skills and how these skills can be used to enhance your leadership skills in an educational setting. 1. Be as specific as possible. 5. Explain a decision-making challenge you have personally faced in the past. Based on your knowledge gained from this lesson, would you handle that situation differently now? a) Explain your personal challenge in detail so that your qualities as a leader come through. b) Feel free to discuss your current areas in need of enhancement and strengths as they relate to this topic. 6.
