For your final paper you will address the five distinct roles that a forensic psychologist (FP) should have to attend to the sub-specialties within the discipline. This article clarifies what the genetically modified organisms are, how they are engineered, the varieties of agriculture crops that can be produced, and the pharmaceutical usages of GMOs. It thoroughly explains what genetic engineering is by providing an overview about the basic units of heredity in organisms such as the DNA, RNA, proteins, and cells. Also, it states the multiple methods used for genetic engineering, but only focus on a method called Polymerase chain reaction. In addition to that, it gives a detailed list of the most agriculture crops that undergo genetic engineering such as Corn, Soybeans, and Cotton. Furthermore, this article revealed that there are benefits in using GM0s for pharmaceutical use. For example, the production of some vaccines that are used against some diseases such as hepatitis B were produced by genetically modifying a bacterium.
I can use this article in my paper as evidence to prove that GMOs are beneficial in some ways other than food such as pharmaceutical uses. Also, it can help me in my paper to properly define and interpret GMOs and their characteristics. Furthermore, it helps me to prove that GMOs have many positive and beneficial aspects that people either do not know about or tend to ignore.

Assignment 2: Science and Technology in the News is worth 20% of your final mark. You will be marked on your reviews of 6 online articles that relate to a specific topic in our course.
Your task is to review 6 unique articles you research online. That means you need to find 6 unique and current articles or online videos in the news that relate to a specific topic we focus on in the course.
*This is a reminder that websites like Wikipedia and Britannica are not acceptable news sites. Wikipedia and Britannica are examples of encyclopedia sites.
Science News and Forbes are examples of acceptable news websites where many articles are published daily that relate to the course. You may search for articles published from approximately the past 5 years.
Examples of acceptable articles are as follows: Your articles must relate to a specific topic in the course. For example, in Module 2, Unit 3, we look at Types of Science. There are many news articles published online that tell the story of a technology company making an important and new discovery. An article of this nature would be an example of the second type of science we discuss: Industrial Science. Another example of an acceptable news article to research is an article that explains how a government is promoting research in a specific science and technology field. An article of this nature would be an example of the third type of science we discuss: Government Science. Another example is that in Module 4, we discuss Scientific Controversy. If you find an article that explains how a new scientific study is being debated in a scientific field, the article would be an example of Scientific Controversy.
Examples of articles that are not acceptable are as follows: Do not find articles that discuss the exact Case Studies we are already examining in the course such as the Tuskegee Project, Stanley Milgram’s Obedience experiments, or the Industrial Revolution. Assignment 2: Science and Technology in the News are available for you to complete starting at the beginning of the course and are due near the end of the semester. The specific date will be posted to your calendar. This gives you time to complete the 6 article reviews as we move through the content of the course.
You are expected to research articles for your reviews from reliable online news sources. 1 of the 6 posts can be from a personal experience related to course material. However, you are not required to post from a personal experience. An example of a personal experience that would be relevant to the course content would be if you have worked in an industry that involved scientific research. Perhaps you have previously participated in a scientific study.
Your reviews must be in paragraph format (5 sentence paragraphs) and follow APA Standards. Each review should have citations in the text and a Reference List at the end of the review. All 6 reviews should be in 1 Word Document. You only need to provide 1 APA Title Page for all 6 reviews.
