Cultural and Societal Influences on Health

For a cultural group different from your own, list three culturally based behaviors that may not promote health, and explain how you would provide respectful health promotion education to that cultural group.

Many factors influence individual health choices and practices, especially cultural beliefs, family influences, and socioeconomic factors. This week, the differences resulting from cultural and family influences will be explored to gain appreciation of the different practices people have involving health, wellness, and illness. Becoming culturally sensitive to individuals with different beliefs will cultivate competence through a cultural humility for those in your care who believe and behave differently than you.
Cultural practices vary greatly around the world and can be seen in how individuals maintain their own health. Health practices often stem from cultural influence. It is important for the nurse to show acceptance for health practices that have no negative impact on the person’s well-being while asking questions to understand others.
The course outcomes covered in this week’s discussion include:
1. Discuss the professional nurse’s role in health-promotion activities.
2. Examine theories and concepts related to health-promotion behaviors.
3. Discuss health promotion, illness prevention, health maintenance, health restoration, and rehabilitation in relation to the nurse’s role in working with various populations.
6. Discuss attitudes and actions that influence personal, educational, and professional development.
7. Identify health-promotion strategies throughout the life span.

EDUCATION Graphic Chart

Your task is to create a graphical representation (e.g., mind map, concept map, Venn diagram) that will help you break down each construct from the module and visually illustrate their distinctions and areas of overlap. However you choose to represent these concepts, you must include the following:
• All three of the key concepts from the module (i.e., self-regulated learning, metacognition, and critical thinking)
• Explicit illustrations of shared understandings/areas of overlap between the concepts (including ideas that are shared between each part of concepts as well as those ideas that are shared by all three concepts; e.g., Which steps of processes from self-regulated learning are inherent to critical thinking?)
• Explicit illustration of differences/distinctions between concepts (i.e., Are there parts o each key concept that stand apart or stand out from one another? What makes one different from the others?)

Assessment Foundations

There are 54 divisions in the APA. Division 15 is Educational Psychology, Division 2 is the Society for the Teaching of Psychology and Division 5 is Quantitative and Qualitative Methods. Go to the APA site and examine each of these divisions. After you have researched the mission and the respective websites for each of these divisions, discuss how each of them influence the process of classroom assessment as a whole. Give examples of what you have learned about assessment from each site for the trickle-down influence to the classroom.

This is critical to make them work for you and to score well.

How would you propose to analyze and display the data collected in your action research proposal plan?

In Unit IV, you created a proposal outline for your action research plan, which included your data analysis plan. For this
assignment, you will create a response to that data collection plan in the form of proposed data analysis.
You must answer
the following question:
How would you propose to analyze and display the data collected in your action research proposal plan?
Your essay must be a minimum of two pages. You are expected to support your essay with sources/references. All sources
used, including the textbook, must be referenced; paraphrased and quoted material must have accompanying citations.
Adhere to APA Style when constructing this assignment, including in-text citations and references for all sources that are
used.

Natural Experients

Natural Experiments

For this project, you should identify a law that is present in some states and not present in others (e.g., casino gambling, right-turn-on-red, different minimum driving ages, different criteria for driving under the influence, etc.).

Identify four states: two that have the law and two that do not.
Identify the date that each of the two states that have the law passed the law.
Find a relevant statistic for each state from the most recent year (for example, traffic fatalities if you’re looking at minimum driving ages). Libraries tend to have several collections of data that could be used for this.
Locate the same statistics for each state but for the year prior to the years that the new laws were passed. (If the laws were passed in different years, there will be three statistics for each state; if the laws passed in the same year, there will be only two statistics for each state.)
Based on these statistics, is there any evidence for causality between the law and the statistics? Write an answer, paying special attention to the five criteria of causality.
What type of quasi-experimental design have you approximated in this exercise? Write an answer, explaining your reasoning.

Ensure to complete in an APA format with a minimum of 3-4 pages. Title page and reference page are required.

Compare and Contrast “To Lucasta” and Owens’ “Dulce et Decorum Est”

cant use secondary sources use only the material provided book
The Norton Introduction to Literature (Shorter Thirteenth Edition)
Kelly J. Mays
Compare and contrast the ways Lovelace’s “To Lucasta” and Owens’ “Dulce et Decorum Est” represent their common subject: war. What claims does each poem make about war? What tone or attitude is taken towards war? How does each poem use specific poetic devices to create its tone?

Your audience for this paper is other students who have read these poems. You can assume that your reader has the poems in front of them, so you don’t need to quote the whole poem, though a brief paraphrase might be useful. You will need to quote specific lines, phrases, or words to point out specific features of the poems. Your purpose is to help your reader see the differences and similarities in the two poems and, consequently, to better understand how each one works to create its particular effects or meanings.
Your paper should be 800 – 1000 words long, double-spaced, with 1-inch margins. Use of secondary sources (other than our own textbook) is not allowed for this assignment. If you have questions about the poem, ask the instructor.

Does Homework Improve Academic Achievement?

You will select and critically review a scholarly educational research article to complete this
assignment. The review will be a minimum of seven pages (not including the title and references
pages). The assignment will be double-spaced using 12-pt Times New Roman font. The review will contain the following sections:

that will have relevance in the body can be defined and explained here. The thesis statement or
the problem statement will be presented here as well.
D. Body – this section will present the details of the reviewed material and all facts and data
presented in it to be analysed and checked whether they are correct or not. The scope of the
thesis or problem statement is to be explored here along with the writer’s viewpoint and opinion.
