Due Date: Midterm due March 12 by 11:59 pm: Chapters 1 – 6
You are asked to compose a character analysis for your midterm project. This assignment is worth 50 points and is to be completed in an APA format. I do not accept late work. Refer to your syllabus regarding my policy on late assignments. The length of the paper is up to you but needs to cover the following: A character (real or fictional), two psychological concepts, and an application of these concepts to the character’s mental processes. If you recall the definition of psychology is the study of mental processes used to explain an individual’s behavior. In essence this is the goal of your paper. To take two psychological concepts and use them to explain the mental processes associated with an individual’s behavior.
A character analysis gives you the student the opportunity to prove to me, the instructor that you can apply the concepts of psychology. How you ever observed an individual and thought “what were they thinking or feeling that would cause them to behave in that way?” This paper gives you that opportunity to use concepts in psychology grounded in research to do just that. The content of the character analysis is as follow

Develop an organizational chart for your museum showing the hierarchical structure of people, duties, reporting lines, and salaries. Be sure that the salaries listed are reasonable to the duties of a museum staff member in the region where you have placed the museum.

You have been given the task of developing and staffing (and selecting the town or city for) a new museum (art or natural history) somewhere in the State of Montana. You must decide where the museum will be placed and whether the museum will be state-related, private, or be within a university.
Valuable collections have been transferred to you and include hundreds of thousands of objects or specimens in four major collection areas. A new building has been completed and awaits your actions as director. You have been given an annualized operating budget of $2,000,000. [Do not concern yourself with fringe benefits or building maintenance (landscaping, water, electricity, etc.) and other mundane expenditures as these are covered under a separate budget.] The entire $2 million is available for hiring people and operating your programs.
You must decide how to allocate the money among collection care, people, security, operations, exhibits, etc. Decide what collections you have and develop a staffing plan that meets the needs of the museum you will direct. Develop an organizational chart for your museum showing the hierarchical structure of people, duties, reporting lines, and salaries. Be sure that the salaries listed are reasonable to the duties of a museum staff member in the region where you have placed the museum. Project Each year at the end of summer, Outdoor Recreation Unlimited puts on a major sales event that includes live music, displays of discounted outdoor clothing and gear, food vendors and fun outdoor activities in order to sell their remaining retail and have a great time in the process. This year, your boss has given you the task of being the project manager for this event. The event will take place in three months and you’ll be managing a team of five interns to help plan the event.
It is your first time in a project management role and you want to prove to him that you are knowledgeable and well-equipped to take on these type of duties. He prefers to not micromanage you, but would like he and his team of executives to be aware of your plans before you start the project. To do this, he has asked that you put together a 10-15-slide PowerPoint presentation for the company’s board of directors that answers the following questions:
What are your cost estimates for the project? (You have an unlimited budget, but in past years, costs for this event have not surpassed $30,000.)
What major milestones and timeline will you adhere to?
How will you ensure quality and prepare for risks along the way?
How will you manage your team assigned to this project?
How you will report the status of the project?
How you will measure the success of the project at its close?
