Write an argumentative paper on Culture is man-made, and each culture has a collection of created objects that can be studied and compared. People from different geographical regions have created cultures that are shaped by particular environmental challenges and resources. To survive, people have had to adapt to the ecology of the regions in which they live. Furthermore, the objects they created were products of the environment and were limited by the resources that were available. These objects, called objective elements, are the focus of this assignment.
Using the South University Online Library and the Internet, research and select three cultural groups from three different geographical areas and climates. To accomplish this task, find a city or town in the region you are looking. Usually, that city or town will have either a chamber of commerce page or town pages describing what you will need to know for this assignment, such as population demographics and cultural and community events, as well as restaurant types. It will take some searching, but you should be able to locate much of the information through these sources.

In this assignment you will practice one of the most fundamental tasks undertaken by historians: primary source analysis. In this specific case, you will be analyzing a primary source from the civil rights period.
Note: You might find it easier to analyze the primary source after you have watched the videos on the civil rights movements in Unit 3.
Note: It is important that you review Rael’s “How to Read a Primary Source” and organize your thoughts using the CLUE worksheet (or one that you create using Rael’s PAPER). This chapter from his Reading, Writing and Researching for History will provide you with insight on how to approach answering the questions that are asked below.
Please choose one of the following primary sources found in Unit 3:
Malcolm X, “The Ballet or the Bullet”
Based on your chosen primary source, answer the following questions:
What is at stake for the author in this text? Why do you think they wrote it? What evidence in the text tells you this?
What is the document trying to do? How does it make its case? (Similar to why they wrote the document).
Are there arguments or concerns in the document that the author has not clearly stated or argued? If yes, provide a specific example and explain why. (In other words, are there gaps in their reasoning and/or logic? Have they left out key information that could mislead the reader?)
Is this primary source reliable and/or credible? In other words, would you use quotations and/or paraphrases from this primary source as evidence/support in a research essay? Use at least one specific example to explain why.

It should contain both in-text citations and a Works Cited at the end of the essay.
It should document at information from the primary source and at least three secondary sources.
I’ve uploaded two files that should be helpful and contributed to the paper somehow. The sources should be from a database. this paper can be slightly over 2000 if needed.

Explain how the second author would object to this argument. This must be done in a way that follows the rules of argument evaluation. (Use the principle of charity; do not object to the conclusion of a well-formed argument; do not simply raise a counterargument. Instead, formulate a well-formed objection.)
The paper should include: A (very brief) introduction, a formal statement of the argument, an explanation and defense of each premise, an explanation and defense of the argument’s conclusion (here, the ‘defense’ should explain why this conclusion follows from these premises), a clear explanation of how the second author would object, and a clear explanation of how the second author would defend this objection. (Why does he believe this objection to be true?) It should end with a (very brief) conclusion. Each of these components should be a distinct paragraph, including separate paragraphs for each premise.
