Identify commonalities and differences that interest you and critically reflect upon them.

The right to health as a legal standard and the social determinants of health have emerged in the past two decades as powerful frameworks for action in public health. However, they do not necessarily begin from the same perspectives, and while there are commonalities, there are also important differences.
Using General Comment No 14 and the WHO framework for action on SDH as your starting point, write an essay comparing and contrasting these two frameworks and discussing their implications for public health work
Generally (and briefly) introduce the two documents, what they present, and where they have come from.
Identify commonalities and differences that interest you and critically reflect upon them. You won’t be able to be comprehensive, so be selective based on what you noticed when reading/in the lectures/in the literature seminar. For example, discuss 2 commonalities and 2 differences (you wouldn’t have space for more than this without being very shallow in your discussion).
Be critical and reflective: Which approach makes sense to you from your discipline and why? Which approach do you think sounds more realistic or feasible (practically, culturally, politically) and why? What’s missing from one or both that you think is needed? What are the relative strengths and limitations? etc.
Use the other literature from this part of the course to help you in your discussion. (See again the literature seminar materials, the introductions to the right to health, the literature for Jesper’s lectures)
Include a short introduction explaining what you will say, and a conclusion summarising what you said (Tip: Write these last)
Make sure your writing is clear and has a logical flow to it. Grammatical errors are expected to some degree if English is not your first language, but the examiner has to be able to understand what you mean.
Be consistent and accurate in your referencing (use APA)
Length: 1000 (min) – 1500 (max) words, excluding references

What is the actual difference between the sympathetic and parasympathetic divisions at the level of those connections (i.e., at the synapse)?

A target effector, such as the heart, receives input from the sympathetic and parasympathetic systems. What is the actual difference between the sympathetic and parasympathetic divisions at the level of those connections (i.e., at the synapse)?
Why does smoking increase the risk of heart disease? Provide two reasons based on autonomic function.

What aspects of the post do you agree or disagree with and why?

Jobs and Ethics
Please read and respond with how you would handle the following hypothetical situation:
You apply for and are offered two jobs of equal pay and benefits. Each job has pros and cons and you are trying to decide which job to select. Using your own personal information (family, preferences, et cetera) and the BACB Professional and Ethical Compliance Code as a reference, pick which job you would select and explain your choice. You can include questions in your discussion that you may have about each of the positions, if these questions are related to your choice.
Job 1
This is a center and in-home based agency. The agency provides one-on-one service in the home setting for students aged 3–18. They also provide center-based services in the form of one-on-one service for preschool students (when not in a school setting during school hours) and social skills groups for school-aged children outside of typical school hours. This agency does not have expertise in early intervention (under-three programs), but will take cases of children under 3 years when offered by an insurance provider without hesitation. As a BCaBA, your job will be to supervise registered behavior technicians (RBTs) for 30–40 percent of your working hours as well as provide one-on-one service either in the clinic or in the home setting for at least 60 percent of your working hours. This agency has 10 BCBAs on staff, but only three have the qualifications to supervise BCaBAs. The hiring manager has made it clear that the monthly meetings with the BCBA are the responsibility of the BCaBA (you) to schedule with the BCBA, record, and maintain those records. Your hours will be consistent each week, but will not be consistent daily. For example, you may work from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday, Wednesday, and Friday and from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday. Your schedule can be changed with a week’s notice. You are told you will work between 30–35 hours a week and that some of those hours are consistently likely to be on Saturday or Sunday.
Job 2
This is a public-school based position. This position includes providing one-on-one classroom support for three set students for the entire school year. You will shadow the student throughout the day and assist with school work, social interactions, self-care, et cetera, 3–4 days a week. The school has stated that you may need to be used at multiple school locations, but has stated that the drive time between schools is 30 mins maximum. You will need to be flexible and you may be transferred to a different school on short notice on occasion. The school system has you working mainly with seventh and eighth grade, but one of your regular students is in 10th grade. The other 1–2 days a week, you will be providing training to the teachers or newer behavior specialists within the district. The topic for the training will be given to you ahead of time, but it is your responsibility to provide the materials. There are three RBTs and no BCBAs on staff within the district attached with this school. The school has stated that no supervision will be provided and commented that your position is responsible for providing supervision for others and that your immediate supervisor will be the director of special education who you will only meet with on an as-necessary basis. Your hours will be consistent daily. You will be working from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. every week day with no weekends required. You are expected to work summer school with the special education department.
Response Guidelines
Read the posts of your peers and respond to two. Your response should be substantive and demonstrate your understanding of the material. What aspects of the post do you agree or disagree with and why? Are there areas that are not clear? What did you learn from your peer’s post? Did the post spark questions that you would like to ask your peer? In this, and in all of your courseroom posts, be sure to keep your tone scholarly, respectful, and professional.

What used to be Table 1 for may change to whatever number follows after the last table number on the Statement of the Problem.

Structure of the Integrated Report
Cover Page:
One single customary cover page: Plain APA style, no colors, no fancy designs.
Table of Contents: Example (download)
It is a Table without lines you could copy/paste and adequate to the specific section headers of your project. See how you could make visible table borders and make it disappear (here), and (here)
Table of Contents is similar to the example in page 597 of the textbook.
Please note: Page numbers should be assigned until you have finished the entire document and is ready. This means no further changes, additions, deletions or page re-arrangements, because pages and its page numbers will move and your table of contents would have to be updated/checked every time you make adjustments.
List of Tables and Figures:
Similar to the example on page 598 of the textbook. Make sure tables (if you have any) follow a sequential order thought the entire text. What used to be Table 1 for may change to whatever number follows after the last table number on the Statement of the Problem. The same for the rest of Tables or Figures.
Abstract:
One single abstract for the entire integrated document. No more than 150 words
Statement of the Research Problem:
Paste the meat of the final draft of this assignment (exclude: cover, abstract, references, appendices)
Methodology:
Paste the meat of the final draft of this assignment (exclude: cover, abstract, title of the study, references, appendices)
References:
Compile in a single list all of the references you used for the two assignments Statement of the Research problem, and the Methodology. In alphabetical order, eliminate repetitive references (the ones you may have used for two assignments)
Appendices:
Be careful with this.
Appendix A from Statement of the Research Problem will continue to be Appendix A for the integrated document. Appendix B the same as above That is, all appendices from Statement of Research Problem maintain their Letters ( A, B , C, etc.)
The problem comes with the Appendices of Methodology: Appendix A of Methodology no longer can be ‘A’ but the letter following the last Appendix letter of the Statement of the Problem. Therefore, wherever you mention any Appendix across the document, you need to assign a new letter to each Appendix.
In other words, Appendices of Methodology, they will lose their former letter and acquire the one that follows in the sequence.
Use your common sense.
NOTE: Appendices do not follow APA rules, because they have to be managed to fit sometimes the less space possible or the format of surveys requires specific fonts, spaces etc. Then, do not use double spaced rows in Appendices!

Remember (with exception of Appendices) APA format should be maintained throughout the document, one inch margins, double spaced, etc.
