Imaginative Writing

Please write a plagrism free story following the rubric.

INSTRUCTIONS:
Please read the two peoms (in a file called Poems), then get the theme and ideas from one or both poems like for example traveling or growing up (like general themes). Then use these peoms to write your own story with your own plot and characters and etc with a chose theme from the poems you just read. An example of this would be in a file called “It was a certain death.” In “A certain death” they used traveling as a theme.

Morality portrayed through media

THIS IS FOR MY HUMANITIES COURSE WITH KEISER UNIVERSITY, HUM3306
For your final project, you will choose one of the following options and write 1000-word essay sharing your view of the topic. The response should include a minimum of 3 – 5 sources. This can include the text book and other sources such as art, videos, songs, film, architecture. The essay should be in APA format including all citations and references for media. Include a title page, abstract page, body, and references page. For help with APA formatting, go to Getting Started and scroll down to APA Study Resources.
1000-1250 words.
Format using 7th edition APA requirements to include an abstract of about 150 words.
Use three to five sources including the textbook (cited in the text and on a references page) TEXTBOOK: “The Art of Being Human. The Humanities as a Technique for Living. 7th Edition.
No more than 20% of the paper should be from source support.
Evidence critical thinking and critical analysis skills

OPTION 4 is the Subject to write about: If Morality is the basis for differentiating between actions that are “good” or right and those that are “bad” or wrong when we are making choices among significant options. What does music, film, television frequently focuses on behaviors that are typically questionable. For example: Rap music promoting gangster style behavior, overly violent films and television, toxic masculinity, music videos that objectify women. In an essay, share your view on whether popular music, and film or television artists are expressing their freedom or producing morally questionable pieces.

Dubai Critical Thinking

In at least two well-developed paragraphs (and a paragraph is at least five to seven sentences) discuss the following:

What are the major factors that have caused the growth of Dubai. These may include transportation, labor force, availability of capital, and other things that has caused the growth of this city over others in the area. How can this growth be managed to best serve the population?

Understanding Team Deveopment

Summary:
Students are afforded opportunities throughout the course to
reflect weekly (and on the course as a whole) on their own growth and
motivation level while learning to recognize challenges and successes in
developing teams. Students will write a 5-7 page paper (APA format) self-reflection
paper considering their experiences over the course as a whole. This paper is
designed to develop the participant’s innovation in the major through
reflection. The paper must be submitted as a Word document using APA format to
Turnitin (Assignment Tool). The following should be addressed in the
paper:
Students are afforded opportunities throughout the course to
reflect weekly (and on the course as a whole) on their own growth and
motivation level while learning to recognize challenges and successes in
developing teams. Only by understanding teams fully will you be able to create
an outstanding team that works effectively and with high energy. As such, for
the key assignment for this course, you will think of a time where you excelled
in a team environment and self-reflect considering your experiences over this
course as a whole. Knowing what you know now from this course, write about your
experience in that team.
The reflection
paper is your chance to integrate your thoughts to what you
have learned in this course and experience illustrate your
understanding of teams. Particularly how it will affect your position
and the future as a leader in teams. Use the first person singular
(“I”), and relate to the course readings, videos, WebEx’s, etc., to your
previous knowledge and experience in teams. Especially consider how what you
have learned in this course has changed your thinking and might affect your
approach to team development.
Remember that your essay is in a narrative style. It is an
academic paper with an
introduction, main paragraphs (Body) and conclusion. The assignment is
all about your personal experiences but the experience should be specific and
must fit the topic and expressed your thoughts clearly. The paper must be 5-7
pages (APA format excluding title and reference page) submitted as a Word
document using APA format to Turnitin (Assignment Tool).
The following should also be addressed in the paper:
1. How much did you know about the subject of developing
teams when you were on your chosen team?
2. What problems/conflicts/obstacles did you encounter with any
team members? How did you address/troubleshoot them?
3. What was most satisfying about your team?
4. How effectively was your team motivated to complete the task/project/assignment?
5. Did you have a team identity? If so, how was your team
identify created and shared?
6. What do you think was your contribution to the team? Do you
believe your team members recognize your contribution as you see it?
7. Reflect on the differences between being a team member and
being a team leader. What are some of the challenges?
8. What How important is it and what are some ways to reward
team members?
9. How do you know your team is doing what it’s supposed to be
doing and if there’s room for improvement?
10. How have you changed or developed new ideas you used to have
on working in teams? In what ways?
11. What is one skill that you would like to improve upon
regarding developing teams that this course helped to identify?
12. How can you take what you have learned from this course and
transform it into your own life in the context you currently lead in to help
work and lead effectively in teams to accomplish goals and provide better
solutions?

As such, for the key assignment for this course, you will think
of a time where you excelled in a team environment and self-reflect considering
your experiences over this course as a whole. Knowing what you know now from
this course, write about your experience in that team.

this is a “narrative” style
essay. You are writing a story about what you have learned, how that compares
to previous understandings, and how what you have learned may be a part of your
future leadership and team development strategies.

For
example, “Through this Team Development class, I have learned much more
about team development than I thought I could have learned, and much more than
I was aware of. For example, as I consider the Team Development stages, I now
understand that the stage 1
….etc”.

With this style of writing you are
communicating more than the material, you are communicating what the material
means to you and how the
material has impacted, inspired, or influenced you, your understanding of
leadership and team development.

Arms Control Treaties – START Treaty

The first five
pages should present your thesis and set up your argument. Summarize your
topic, its background, and the problem your paper seeks to address.

In the second
portion of the paper students must complete a case-study of a contemporary
issue using newspaper sources (for example, trade, federal workers pay, Syria,
immigration, Dodd-Frank alterations, Affordable Care Act implementation,
budgets, omnibus spending, etc). This portion of the paper should analyze
contemporary presidential-congressional relations on that specific issue. How
has the President addressed, or ignored, Congress? In what ways has the
president challenged Congress’s authority? In what ways has Congress pushed
back? What political factors have affected the issue and relationship? Are
members of Congress taking the lead on this issue or is the President?

The topic and
issue do not have to match perfectly. That said, they should relate to one
another. So for example, if you plan on writing about immigration, you should
choose academic sources analyzing U.S. immigration policy emphasizing the roles
Congress and the president have historically played.

The paper is
required include a minimum of three academic
sources (books or articles).

Compare and contrast the neurobiology of addiction with the sociocultural views of chemical dependency. Elaborate on your answer.

Answer the questions below completely and fully for full credit. This requires a minimum of two substantive paragraphs for each answer with a minimum total of 300 words for the combined paragraphs (not including the references). Use your learning resources and outside academic references (not Wikipedia!) to answer the questions completely. Support your answers with source credits (citations and references). Use APA formatting for all your work.
1. Compare and contrast the neurobiology of addiction with the sociocultural views of chemical dependency. Elaborate on your answer.
2. Distinguish between somatic symptom disorder with predominant pain versus illness anxiety disorder. In other words, how does a clinician distinguish between the two being presented by a client?
3. What are the important clinical features which help distinguish among the diagnoses of Schizophrenia, Schizoaffective Disorder, and Mood Disorder with Psychotic Features?
4. Discuss the approach of applied behavioral analysis in the treatment of Autism Spectrum Disorder. What symptoms are traditionally targeted by therapist and how to they promote change and skill acquisition?
5. Distinguish among Dissociative Amnesia and Dissociative Fugue? Which is more common? What might precipitate the emergence of each disorder?
Answers will be ran through Turnin to check for plagiarism.

Translating Knowledge

 Students will be responsible for listening to either a podcast episode or a recorded webinar/talk on a topic related to race and justice.
 Centering the episode/webinar/talk, students will prepare a 7–8-page critical reflection (not including title page and reference list), interweaving at least six (6) course assigned readings, to engage with course themes in a more complex and in-depth way.
 This is not merely a summary of the digital content, but rather, students are required to use the episode/webinar/talk as the starting point of an intellectually cogent, analytic, and systemic paper on the intersections of race with (i) community engagement and/or disengagement, and/or (ii) crime, victimization, and criminal justice.
 The purpose of this assignment is for me to see how you can apply course content (to also include the lectures- will provided in separate files) to lived experience.
How can the research (knowledge) be translated (used) to understand and make sense of the stories and accounts we hear in practice?

Toxic Waste Discussion Forum

Think of the areas in a toxic tour of your home town or state. In a 1 to 2 paragraph summary describe what could be done to reduce the environmental impact of these actions on the landscape. Why is it important to recognize the impacts now and in the future? Create a new discussion topic on or before the required date/time by clicking the ‘**REPLY HERE**’ post. Develop a substantive main thread addressing each part of the prompt in full. Your initial thread should be 2-3 paragraphs in length (200+ words total). Support your points with examples or illustrations from the text. Quotations/citations are not strictly required. My hometown is Wrens,ga 30833

you may examine how point-of-view and tone (or setting, irony, conflict, imagery, symbolism, etc.) contribute to the overall development of the speaker, or you may want to discuss the speaker’s motivations for his/her actions

Compose a critical analysis essay on one of the topics below. Your essay should be well developed, unified, coherent, and grammatically correct. Refer Required length: 1.5 – 2 pages . Include a Work Cited page. Create a thesis statement, and back up your claim with support/evidence from the text. Support should contain clear, specific examples from the poem or poems you are analyzing, as well as documentation for all text references. Include at least two- three quotations from each poem in each body paragraph of your essay, for a total of 6 quotationsfrom the poems. Also, quoting poetry is a bit different from quoting lines from a story. You will cite line numbers rather than pages, and you will put a slash (/) between lines if quoting more than one line. *Do not use more than 2 lines at a time; otherwise, you must use a block quote and you are NOT to use block quotes in a paper this short. Choose between “Hope is the Thing with Feathers” and “The Peace of Wild Things

Writing functions in RStudio

Write two R functions that together will enable you to calculate the maximum likelihood estimates of μ and σ2 on the basis of an iid sample x1, …, xn from a truncated normal distribution with parameters μ, σ2 and τ, where the value of τ is known.

Your first function should be called trnorm.negll(), and should calculate the negative log-likelihood ℓ(μ,σ2;x). The arguments to this function should be (in this order): theta, a vector of length 2 such that theta[1] is the value of μ and theta[2] is the value of σ2; xbar, the sample mean x¯¯¯; SS, the sum of squares ∑ni=1x2i; n, the number of observations; and tau, the value of τ. Note that SS is in UPPER CASE (this is not clear on some browsers); the remaining arguments are in lower case. The value of the function should be the negative log-likelihood −ℓ(μ,σ2;x) (i.e. the expression given in the ‘Introduction’ above, with the minus signs reversed). Your function should return a very large positive value for the negative log-likelihood (corresponding to a very small likelihood) if σ2 is negative.

Your second function should be called trnorm.MLE() and should calculate the maximum likelihood estimates of μ and σ2 given a vector of observations x1, …, xn and a value of τ. The arguments to this function should be: x, the vector of observations; tau, the value of τ; and theta0, a vector of length 2 such that theta0[1] is an initial guess at the value of μ and theta0[2] is an initial guess at the value of σ2. The structure of this function should be as follows:

Calculate the sample mean and sum of squares of the observation vector x.
Call nlm() to minimise the negative log-likelihood as defined in your trnorm.negll() function, starting from the initial value theta0.
Extract the estimated MLE from the result of your nlm() call.
Your trnorm.MLE() function should return a vector of length 2, where the first component is the MLE of μ and the second component is the MLE of σ2.
