In the final project, our purpose is to apply what we have learned in the past seven weeks plus the basic idea of conformal mapping in Chapter 17 to potential problems. This will lead to boundary value problems and many engineering applications in electrostatics, heat flow, and fluid flow which are covered in sections 18.2, 18.3, and 18.4. You will need to choose a problem to discuss from either of these sections and write a 3 – 5 pages report in addressing the specifics of the problem and solve it. You may also choose a problem in the problem sets 18.2, 18.3, and 18.4. After you choose the specific problem for your final project, you need to contact me in advance to get my permission for the problem to be considered as your final project. After obtaining my permission, you will then write your report and submit it in the assignment area.

Select a focal subject: You may for example choose a born-global start-up with operations in an innovative industry; a new technology development trend that will reshape or create a new industry; or a well-established multinational corporation (MNC) that is facing challenges from the ever-changing technological revolution. You are encouraged to choose an innovative industry or a developed industry that is about to be dramatically changed by innovation to research and analyze. Regardless, the technological development and innovation strategy context must be central to your case.

Data Collection: I expect you to conduct a holistic research of the focal subject of your choice. Research the historical development trend and other background information using available secondary resources. You are recommended to complement your research with primary data sources from observations, survey, discussions, and interviews. Here, you can leverage Atlanta-based international representations, or businesspersons with experience in the region. You are encouraged to directly contact the key companies of your research to ask for interviews and more information. You may also choose to conduct surveys regarding certain technologies or business.
Analysis: Using primary and secondary data, describe your focus firm or industry. Be sure to address the historical contexts, current challenges, business strategies and future development trajectory as relevant. This may include competition, legal, operational and strategic dimensions, changes in the technological development and market that affect it, and other pertinent factors. Be sure to critically analyze the data through your research, knowledge and understanding in the BCR.

Conclusion: Concise the summary of your findings, followed by a discussion of the future prospects for your firm or industry.

Her husband, Phil, a factory worker, had been a saver all his life and owned approximately $1,500,000 in stocks and bonds. Clara is relatively unsophisticated in financial matters, so the attorney agrees to handle the estate for 17 percent of the value of the estate. The normal charge for such work is 3 to 5 percent of the estate. The widow agrees to the 17 percent arrangement.
