An Evidence Based Practice that has been implemented in the Emergency Department I work in, is the initiative in the prevention of frequent falls. Frequent falls is a concern a major concern for patient safety. Healthcare professionals must stay mindful that this is an ongoing issue and promote awareness. An ideal start in raising awareness is asking questions on why it happens so frequently, what we can do to minimize frequency, how we can prevent falls and what we can do to reduce the incidence of falls . One initiative that was implemented is to screen patients in triage that come in and to provide a fall risk scale during their triage. This helps determine if they are at risk. Once it is determined that they are high risk, then have fall risk bands placed on their wrist. A second initiative is to apply yellow socks on fall risk patients and to make sure the bed is in a low position and the side rails of the ED gurney are up so the patient will not roll out. One issue with this initiative is that it must be used by every staff member. If the initial triage is missed, then the patient isn’t assessed for falls and becomes a risk. Another issue is that some healthcare providers do not consider the mind-altering medications that are being given to patients that can pose a greater risk for falls. At times patient have been treated in the ED in a rapid treatment room and they are given morphine and then sent back out to the lobby to wait for results. These types of patients should be considered a fall risk as well. One model that could be used is Kotter’s 8 step model. It includes eight steps, including: establish a sense of urgency, create a guiding coalition, develop a vision and strategy, communicate the change vision, empower broad-based action, generate short-term wins, consolidate gains to produce more change and anchor change in the organizational culture (Melnyk, 2019). A well-set organizational plan should be followed to properly prevent falls.

For this research assignment and paper, you will first survey 20 adult people of your choosing to ask them about their attitudes about race. Do not survey or interview children, inmates, or anyone else who cannot give legal or voluntary consent.
Please tell your adult respondents that you are completing a research project and paper for your online Cultural Anthropology course on people’s understandings of, and attitudes about, race.
Important: Your respondents must remain anonymous. To maintain their confidentiality, in your field notes, you must codify them and not list their names. You may number each subject or use initials instead, but no first or last names should be included.
Explain no more. If respondents do not understand any of the five questions, please ask them to simply answer to the best of their ability and understanding, and explain that you are unable to discuss the question any further, according to assignment requirements.

Proposals come in many forms, from a 2-page proposal memo suggesting a change to internal company policy, to a 250-page formal proposal establishing a business relationship between two companies or establishing the timeline and procedures for completing a large-scale project. Proposals are also written when applying for grants or other funding. A business plan, for instance, is a specialized form of proposal often used to help obtain capital when starting or expanding a business. While some proposals may be unsolicited appeals to individuals or companies, others specifically reply to ongoing grants or one-time RFPs/CFPs (requests/calls for proposals) sent out by foundations, corporations, or government agencies. Proposals do attempt to persuade the reader of the viability of your ideas and plan for carrying them out. That idea could be opening a new company, starting a non-profit organization, or simply redesigning your office space. Although the audience for your proposal is the foundation, company, or individual who will approve the funding of your project, proposals are also written for yourself as well. Proposals lay out a plan for completing a project, describing how the authors will accomplish their goals, and they help authors assess during the project how well they are progressing toward these goals.

Introduction: Your introduction should indicate the topic you will discuss and your thesis.
Thesis: Be specific in stating your thesis. The thesis statement will indicate to your readers what exactly you are arguing in the essay. It is not simply a statement of your topic.
Example vague thesis: Getting young people to vote in elections is a complicated process.
An example of a specific thesis: We should motivate young people to vote in elections by taking advantage of social media platforms.
The Body: The body elaborates on the points in your essay map. Use information from your sources and your own original argumentation to explain how each point ties into your thesis.
Important considerations for writing the body:
Do not misrepresent your sources (e.g., by taking a quotation out of context or claiming they believe something they do not)
Maintain an appropriate tone, regardless of how passionate you feel about your topic.
Consider the other side of the argument. What would your opponents say in response to you?
Conclusion: Your conclusion addresses the “so what” question—why does your paper/topic matter?
Avoid plagiarism by paraphrasing and quoting the sources appropriately with proper APA in-text and reference citations. Remember that a sentence cannot consist of just a direct quotation (use attributive phrases/reporting verbs).

Review the Big 5 Personality Traits test results and define where you are on the scale for each one. Engage in self-reflection and discuss how your personality profile might influence your relationships with others and what if any trait might you have to modify your behavior to be more effective with others. Also discuss which personality trait rated low and which you would like to change and why? Describe how you might modify your behavior to make this change.
Organize your paper in sections and provide your reflection on the Big 5 Personality Traits in section 1. Explain where you are on the scale for each one.
