Explain how the two technological advances selected have influenced public opinion of the changing health care system in the United States.

Technology in health care has taken many forms over the years. In 1796, Edward Jenner developed the first smallpox vaccination method. A hundred years later, Wilhelm Rontgen discovered how to use x-rays for medical imaging. And in 2013, Japanese researchers grew the first human liver from stem cells. What is next? How does one technological advance set the stage for further discoveries?

For this assignment, compose a presentation of 3-4 slides incorporating the following:
Explain how the two technological advances selected have influenced public opinion of the changing health care system in the United States.

Write a paper comparing and contrasting 2 Super Bowl Ads (and only 2).

Write a paper comparing and contrasting 2 Super Bowl Ads (and only 2). You can look up “Super Bowl Ads 2022” on YouTube if you don’t have a way of watching the event. Decide which of the two ads you chose was the most successful and analyze this, exploring WHY this ad you chose as the most successful was indeed the most successful. Why did the other ad you chose fall short?
You MUST assess these 2 ads using your knowledge of ethos, pathos, and logos. Did each ad use all three? Did they use them effectively? Why or why not?
This essay should be phrased professionally. Pretend you are writing an article in a newspaper critiquing these ads in a respectful manner. The questions below will help you.
More questions to ask yourself when writing this essay:
What was each ad trying to make you feel? Did it succeed?
What was each ad trying to make you think (or think about)? Did it succeed?
How did the ad look? What about the people within the ad? Were they attractive, rugged, innocent, etc. (how were they portrayed and why?)?
Did all the various parts of the ad (the actors, the costuming, setting, etc.) come together well to make a cohesive whole?
How would you change these ads to make them more effective?
Note: The above questions are intended to help you write a good, well-rounded essay. You do not have to answer every single one of the above questions; however, a good essay will consider most if not all of these questions.

What are your greatest strengths?

What are your greatest strengths?
What is your greatest weakness?
Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
What would your former or current supervisor say about you?
What accomplishments are you most proud of?
What kinds of skills do you have that would benefit this company?
What was your greatest failure?
Part 2: Respond to at least two of your classmates with feedback for improvement (Worth 25 pts. ). Be specific and detailed with your feedback, whether you like something in their answer or you think they should change something. It’s OK to give a compliment, but “good job” does not constitute helpful feedback. Look for posts that do not yet have feedback from other classmates. Post your responses by the due date on your syllabus.

What are your greatest strengths?
My greatest strengths are the ability to work well with others and my my strong work ethic. I believe that to get the job done team work is the dream work. It really does take a village to make really great things happen. So that is why I believe in working together and that is why I cultivated really good collaboration skills. Another one of my strengths is my work ethic. Another one of my beliefs is that we must put our heads down and work in order to achieve our desired goal and so that’s why I believe in working hard to achieve goals and that is what I can provide to this workplace.

What kinds of skills do you have that would benefit this company?
I am a chameleon. I have the ability to come into a position and adapt extremely quickly and make it my own. Whether I know something about the position or not I am able to absorb everything that is being taught to me, or be able to teach myself, and fit in like I have been maintaining that position for years. This is done with no small amount of hard work, determination to excel and persistence.
For example, my last job I was an Accounts Receivable Executive for a health insurance brokerage. I did not have an accounting background or knowledge of insurance nor was the position previously held by anyone at this particular company so there was no training available. Upon leaving 3 years later, it is now a position that is mandatory in the company and set up with extensive tools along with training videos that I provided and relationships formed with over 70 different insurance carriers.
My resume may seem like I jump from “random job to random job” but it is my ability to not only adapt but excel in any position that I take that is a vital skill that I possess that any company that I work for would benefit from.

What do you feel will change for you as a result of accomplishing this goal?

For this assignment you will be creating a learning contract for use in your winter practicum. You will use the template provided to create one goal in each of the five categories based on your sense of the skills and knowledge you feel you will require to assist you in developing your own “style” as a professional Social Service Worker. This will become your professional learning contract for practicum in 3rd semester.
Part 1: The Learning Contract
Review the Field Placement Learning Contract template provided and your Journals. Based on your reflections of your skill development and knowledge attained in the program to date and on the skills/knowledge areas you feel require more attention, create three new unique goals in any three of the five categories (Job Knowledge, Interpersonal, Self Awareness, Practice Skills, Integration of Knowledge and Practice) on your learning contract. These need to be complete goal statements along with strategies, resources, evidence and evaluation.
Part 2: Written Explanation of Learning Contract Goals
For each goal you have created, explain why you feel this is an important area for you to work on. Consider the following questions in your answer:
Has there been an experience that has helped you to discover that there is an important area of knowledge or a skill set that you would like to have?
Have you received feedback from your liaison or peers that has helped you to develop this goal?
What do you feel will change for you as a result of accomplishing this goal? How will it make you a more effective Social Service Worker? Will this be a focus of further learning for your career goals?
Part 3: Connection to Theory
Review the posted reading entitled “The Art and Science of Social (Service) Work” and the related class discussion. Using concrete examples, explain two (2) artistic components (from the reading) of your own style which you have recognized that you are developing AND

at least one (1) area of knowledge you have studied which have stood out for you so far in either your practicum experience or other aspects of your life. (FOR THIS PART, PLEASE WRITE ABOUT HARM REDUCTION.)

Discuss whether the Bumble ad starting Serena Williams is empowerment to women?

Purpose of the paper: The Ad essay allows you to develop your ideas about an advertisement by examining several components of a written/ visual work: the argument that the creator makes; the purpose of the ad; the target audience; the composition/organization of the work; the voice or tone of the work; the context of the work; the underlying assumptions of the work; the types of appeals used in the ad. How effective is the advertiser? How do the advertiser’s strategies succeed and/or fail?

Basic Guidelines: Your essay must have a clear, argumentative thesis statement in the introduction. This is a statement about the effectiveness or lack of effectiveness in the advertisement you are analyzing. Include a brief summary of your chosen advertisement in the beginning to make sure your readers will have a clear and accurate view of what the author of this ad is trying to accomplish. The body of the essay needs to develop and support the claim you articulate in your thesis. In your analysis, strive for depth rather than breadth. In other words, say a lot about one or two key things rather than a little bit about many things. The closing portion of your essay needs to do more than merely restate the key ideas you’ve discussed in the body of your text. For example, consider a conclusion that speculates on the impact of the analyzed essay’s claim in the larger context of the subject area or topic being discussed.

What stands out, or what are the distinguishing features, of the websites?

For this paper, you are conducting research that will include two websites from two different companies (competitors) in your chosen career field and you will find two articles from the ASU Library databaseLinks to an external site. that address communication concepts or practices in that field.

The topics for the Paper are Lululemon and GymShark
Must use ASU database to find articles

Then you are writing a 4-6 page paper, not including References page, that compares and contrasts the two websites in terms of the following features:
What stands out, or what are the distinguishing features, of the websites? Explain what you think and why.
What do the websites hope to achieve, or what is their purpose? Explain how you can tell.
Who is their target audience (singular or multiple)? How can you tell?
What personality or identity are they trying to convey? What makes you think that?
How do they use images and graphics? What kind of vibe are they trying to create with the imagery?
How do they use textual language? How much text is used relative to images, white space, or other features? Why do you think that is? What kind of language (word choice and style) do they use? Quote specific examples and explain why that is suitable language.
Is there a blend of appealing to their audiences’ emotions, morals and logic (pathos, ethos and logos) or is one dominant over the others? Explain the ratios and why you think they designed the websites that way. Are these rations effective given their target audience?
Use insights, information and arguments from the ASU Library throughout the paper to support, enrich and/or strengthen the observations you make about the websites. You must use and cite the articles at least 4 times, at least 2 times must be exact quotes. Your use of the articles should be spread throughout the paper – do not put everything from the articles together in one paragraph.
Your paper should follow standard MLA or APA standards and format. You are, of course, also being graded on depth and maturity of expression, grammar, word choice, punctuation and demonstration of a scholarly, professional voice.
Your paper should contain:
A title that states what industry you looked at: “Competitor Websites in the Accounting Industry”
An introduction paragraph that includes some general background information and overview about the industry and the companies you chose to analyze. The intro should also have a thesis statement that shares your overall opinion on what is most important or most compelling feature(s) for a business website to have to effectively communicate with their audience.
Body paragraphs that organization the required information (listed above) in a logical and successful way. You will need to decide how to group different concepts together and in what order to create your paragraphs.
A conclusion paragraph that briefly makes 2-4 observations about what you personally learned about effective business websites and how you would apply what you learned from this project to your own future endeavors; for example, what would you “steal” from this analysis if you ever had the need or was directed to help create your company’s website.
A References/Works Cited page that lists the two websites and two articles used in the paper. Make sure you use MLA or APA style for the citations and for the format.

Explain how economically different the two countries are, by examining at least five different economic indicators, such as gross domestic product, gross domestic product per person, exports, imports, the balance of payments, and the differences in at least three of their social indicators, such as population, population per square kilometer, etc.

This competency assessment assesses the following Outcome(s):

BU204M5-5:
Examine how exports, imports, the balance of payments, and capital
flows impact individual national economics and global economics.
GEL-1.02: Demonstrate college-level communication through the composition of original materials in Standard English.
GEL-6.05: Adapt research skills to discover and sort relevant sources to complete tasks.
PC-4.1: Assess the value of multiculturalism and diversity in a global environment.
This assessment deals with international macroeconomics and the
importance of cultural diversity. This is a two-part assessment
consisting of research skills to identify relevant information, and your
analysis based on the information you located.
In this assessment, you will choose an economically advanced country and a developing country,
and will assume the role as an assistant researcher who is tasked with
conducting a detailed study of how the different international trade
situations and the differing cultural diversity produces the observable
disparities between these two countries.
Your research must be detailed and presented in a minimum of a 4-page research paper.
The first half of your paper will describe, how you determined what
data to collect, the sources of that data, how you sorted that data, the
time periods that the data describes, and how you chose to analyze the
data.
The second half of your paper will focus on your resulting
conclusions regarding the differences between the two countries you
chose. In addition, include your analysis of the cultural, social, and
political diversity between these two cultures, and how these
differences contribute to the economic differences you found based on
specific evidence from the data you collected.
Using World Bank data, conduct research to determine how economically
different the two countries, that you chose, are by examining and
comparing economic and social indicators, such as the following, for the
year 2015. Include the data that you collected as an appendix to your final report.
GDP (constant 2010 US$)
GDP per capita (constant 2010 US$)

Exports of goods and services (constant 2010 US$)
Imports of goods and services (constant 2010 US$)
External balance on goods and services (current US$)
External balance on goods and services (% of GDP)

Population, total
Population, female (% of total population)
Population, male (% of total population)
Rural population (% of total population)
Urban population (% of total population)

Life expectancy at birth, female (years)
Life expectancy at birth, male (years)

Employment to population ratio, 15+, total (%) (modeled ILO estimate)
Employment to population ratio, 15+, male (%) (modeled ILO estimate)
Employment to population ratio, 15+, female (%) (modeled ILO estimate)

Individuals using the Internet (% of population)
Adolescent fertility rate (births per 1,000 women ages 15-19)
Prevalence of undernourishment (% of population)

Then, expand your research into the cultural differences, including
political structure, average education, and social influences, to
determine why these two countries are so different.
Access the World Bank data from Purdue University’s Economic Education website, or you can go directly to the World Bank website.

Part 1: Research
You will need to locate one or more scholarly articles from the
Purdue Global Library that will help you to analyze factors that
determine the disparities of economic growth among countries. The
article(s) should provide you with information to answer Part 2 of your
assessment. You will write about the process you went through to locate
your article(s), thoroughly covering the topics below.
You must follow the following criteria for your research:
Explain how your search terms were refined.
Identify your choice of databases (for example: EBSCO or ProQuest ABI/Inform).
Identify the range of dates used.
Identify the experts.
Identify how you sorted the relevant topics.
Locating scholarly articles:
Scholarly articles must be current and of high quality. These include
peer-reviewed academic articles, articles published in journals, and
other library resources found in the Purdue Global Library.
How to access the ABI/Inform database, selecting peer-reviewed journal articles:
Locate the Library link from Academic Tools.
Scroll midway down the page and locate “ProQuest ABI/Inform Collection.”
Make sure “Full text” and “Peer Reviewed” are checked.
Enter your key word(s) in the search area and select the search button.
Under Source Type, select Scholarly Journals.
Review this interactive tutorial on “How to Access the ABI/Inform Database” to learn more on how to access and search using the database along with additional resources.
Part 2: Conclusions
Based on the articles provided and the research you conducted using
the Library and Internet, identify key factors that determine long-term
economic growth by comparing two different countries of your choice. One
advanced economy such as England, Canada, Germany, etc., and the other
country is considered a developing economy, such as Angola, Afghanistan,
Bangladesh, etc.
Explain how economically different the two countries are, by
examining at least five different economic indicators, such as gross
domestic product, gross domestic product per person, exports, imports,
the balance of payments, and the differences in at least three of their
social indicators, such as population, population per square kilometer,
etc. Then, expand your research into the cultural differences, including
political structure, average education, and social influences, to
determine why these two countries are so different economically.

Which branch is most important and most powerful, as laid out in the Constitution?

The Constitution sets up a system of checks & balances and separation of powers. In your essay, clearly
state the various checks that each branch of government has on the other branches. How does the
Constitution separate the branches? Which branch is most important and most powerful, as laid out in
the Constitution? Why do you think that is the case? What are the primary policy implications for this
constitutional design? How might this design both promote democratic principles and diminish
democratic principles? Be sure to make clear the principles you are addressing in each case.
