Rewrite and Explanation – English class

Part one:
Browse the attached file “Do you Speak American”, and imagine that you want to share the ideas in
your text with a wider audience in a “less academic” context. Rewrite the text
to make it appropriate for one of the audiences and formats below, considering
language, organization, and page appearance. Then, compose a personal blog post for your friends and
family—200 words minimum.
Part two: Write an 500 words minimum explanation of how you rewrote the
original text for a new audience and context. What choices did you make when
changing the text? Describe specific examples from your rewrite and the
original to describe changes you made in vocabulary, sentence structure,
organization, and design. Explain why you made these changes, using
sociolinguistic concepts we learned in class (e.g., register, speech community,
prescriptivism and descriptivism. Write appropriately for an academic audience,
considering language choices, organization, and formatting.

Quality Control and Security Validation Issues

Can you please write one paragraph each?

1) GMP Production Environment
The Quality Control department for a biopharmaceutical company performs a test method (assay) for purity using a method called High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC). The assay had been demonstrated to be suitable for use from the validation work. However, recently, the QC lab has generated a number of invalid assays. Thus, the test results cannot be accepted. How do you think an investigation into the problem should proceed? The assays were invalid because the assay control is not passing the established acceptance criteria.

2) Quality Management Systems
A test result from a Quality Control method generated an Out of Specification (OOS) result. During the Phase 1 investigation of the OOS result, it was discovered that the QC analyst who performed the test did not closely follow the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) that describes the steps of the test. During the preparation work as described in the SOP, the analyst did not dilute the samples as specified in the SOP.
Discuss what steps should be taken after this outcome of the Phase 1 investigation.

Write a response (a paragraph each post) to 2 discussion posts (it will be in the uploaded file) to help provide counter-arguments, alternate applications, or further clarification/correction/summation about the theory that is missing from the original post but of importance to applying the theory.

First part: Write and discuss the differential association theory on a full page of the paper.
These discussions are meant to go beyond theory summation and into the theoretical application by asking HOW THAT THEORY COULD BE APPLIED TO EXPLAINING CRIME PATTERNS IN TODAY’S WORLD. The arguments will need to be rooted in what the original theorist proposed as well as ensuring research that has tested the theory to find support for it. The paper MUST BE BASED ON
ACADEMIC JOURNAL ARTICLE THAT FOCUSES ON THE THEORY.

Second Part: Write a response (a paragraph each post) to 2 discussion posts (it will be in the uploaded file) to help provide counter-arguments, alternate applications, or further clarification/correction/summation about the theory that is missing from the original post but of importance to applying the theory.

Are you especially loyal to any one brand? If so, what is it, and why are you so loyal? When successfully building loyalty and community, trust seems to be the biggest factor.

Are you especially loyal to any one brand? If so, what is it, and why are you so loyal? When successfully building loyalty and community, trust seems to be the biggest factor. How can a company build trust and what is the best approach to do so (incorporating concepts from both the field of marketing and psychology)? What are the ethical issues and obligations that come with trust once it is built? Should consumers trust companies? Why or why not? Do you think some consumers are just more prone to be loyal to companies and other consumers are not? Why or why not?
Note: Please review my expectations for the assignment. I expect your response to include 2 or more references from the APUS Library system (https://www.apus.edu/apus-library/index.html) (failure to include such references will detract from your grade on the assignment), and be presented in APA Format. Deliverable length is a minimum of 2 body pages.

Develop an audio-narrated PowerPoint presentation based on the research you have conducted about your chosen species.

Objective: Develop an audio-narrated PowerPoint presentation based on the research you have conducted about your chosen species.
Before You Start:
To prepare for this assignment, I recommend that you do the following:
Read these directions carefully
Read the BIOL180 Final Presentation Grading Rubric.pdf.
The grading rubric is a detailed evaluation that I will use to assess your performance. It also will help you understand what is expected of you as you prepare your assignment.
Use your own words (paraphrase). For help with paraphrasing, please review the ‘Quoting and Paraphrasing’ help in the Trefry Library Writing@APUS Center.
Note that your Turnitin report similarity score should be under 20% (not including references) and free of paraphrasing issues. Review the color-flagged text on your report, fix any issues, and resubmit again before the deadline (this assignment is set to unlimited submissions until the deadline).
Note that less than 10% of your work should contain direct quotes.
Email me with any questions!
Assignment Instructions: Putting it all together, you will develop your presentation based on the work you submitted for all of the steps to date as well as the instructor feedback you were given.
Final Presentation requirements:
Your presentation will be submitted as an audio-narrated PowerPoint, narrated by you, the student. You cannot use “text-to-speech” programs or technologies that do the narration for you unless noted as an approved accommodation in a current DSA letter you have furnished to me. For instructions on how to create audio narration in PowerPoint, see the following link: Record a Slide Show With Narration. Audio narration is a requirement!
Proper use and pronunciation of scientific terminology are required. For help with pronunciation, see this link: Cambridge Dictionary

Your presentation must contain approximately 10-15 slides (excluding reference and title slides) and run approximately 5-10 minutes.
Text is organized using concise phrases typed on each slide and properly cited.
Work that is improperly cited and referenced or lacking either proper in-text citations or references may not be accepted for credit.

Plant Aloe Vera being used as skin care products to treat sunburns

Instructions: This week we will investigate the importance of plants in our everyday lives – in ways other than just for oxygen.
Photosynthesis is arguably one of the most important processes on Earth – essentially all life depends on it. Humans and other animals depend on plants to capture the energy of the sun and use that energy to manufacture carbohydrates – subsequently releasing the oxygen that we breathe. But plants are vital to our lives in other ways as well. Think about the pencil you write with (or used to), the toothpick you used last night, the cotton T-shirt you wore today, or the maple syrup you had on your pancakes this morning. These all came from plants! Ethnobotany is the study of the relationship between plants and people – plants used for practical, ceremonial, spiritual, medicinal, decorative, edible, etc. purposes.
For this week’s initial post:
You are to find a plant product that we use every day and do not pick one that your classmates have already chosen.
Make sure to include the product name in the title of your discussion post so that others can quickly see what you have chosen.
Do some research and address the following:
From what plant does your product come? Include the common and scientific name (properly formatted).
What is the product? What does it do? How do we extract it from the plant? Describe in detail.
What is the primary use: medicinal, ceremonial, etc.?
Are there commercial fields for the plant? Where?
Are there any substitutes for your product? If there is no information, feel free to take an educated guess, and support it.
What is the most fascinating thing you learned about your product?
For responses to classmates:
When substantively replying to your classmates’ initial posts, explain whether you agree or disagree with their assessment and why, ask a follow-up question, mention new information which they or other classmates have not yet mentioned. These will count toward your ‘Reply Posts’ grade points.
Monitor your initial post thread, and respond to follow-up questions and comments made by your classmates and instructor during the scheduled week. These will count toward your ‘Creates Conversation’ grade points.

· What questions for class discussion did it raise?
