Lesson plan Science

There are two parts
to this assignment:
1. Unit plan.
2. Lesson plan and rationale.
1.
Unit plan 600 words
You are to choose a Science Understanding content
description from: Chemical Sciences. You are to then design a unit based on the
5E stages using the Unit plan (DOC 19 KB) Download Unit plan (DOC 19 KB) template. Your unit plan should include
opportunities for Project Base Learning PBL and incorporate ICT. As part of the
unit plan you are to outline suitable assessment strategies.

2.
Lesson plan 900 words
You are then required
to choose one of the 5E stages and complete a lesson plan. A
lesson plan template for each of the 5E stages is included below:
·
Explore
·
The Explore phase is
designed to provide your students with hands-on experiences of the science
phenomenon. Your students explore ideas, collect evidence, discuss their
observations and keep records, such as science journal entries. The Explore
phase ensures all your students have a shared experience that can be discussed
and explained in the Explain phase.
Open
the Explore lesson plan
(DOC 25 KB) template.

Lesson rationale 500 words
An
important component of the lesson plan is the Lesson
rationale (approximately 500 words). When completing the lesson rationale
you should:
·
explain how your
lesson reflects (contemporary) constructivist pedagogical approaches
·
discuss the
assessment element/s (purpose, benefits, limitations) of the lesson
·
refer back to the
unit plan and the place of this lesson in the wider unit
·
draw on unit learning
materials and wider research and cite these in APA style.

a post discussing a poor user interface . The interface I picked is the (ABC Network) where you watch shows and movies .

In this exercise you will develop a post discussing a poor user interface. You should describe something that either does not have a good interface or is difficult to use. It does not have to be computer related, though a bad computer interface would certainly be on topic. In your post include the following:

An image of the interface. You can take a picture of it, or a screen capture, and then embed the image within your discussion forum post, rather than uploading it as an attachment. If not, see if you can find an image of your interface on the web to use.*

Describe what about the interface makes it so bad.
Make three design recommendations for improving the interface.

Your discussion post should contain three paragraphs of at least four sentences.

Language arts/writing

Your local library is hosting an essay contest about the ways people express themselves. Community members will judge the essays. Write an argumentative essay in which you select your favorite mode of self-expression (such as music or comedy) and argue why that medium is effective.
Directions: Use your writing outline to draft the body paragraphs of your essay
Remember to include:
Transitional phrase to begin your paragraph
State reason
Cite evidence 1
Elaborate and explain how your evidence supports your reason
Use an addition transition
Cite evidence 2
Elaborate and explain how your evidence supports your reason
Use a concluding transition
Summarize your key points made in this body paragraph
Repeat these steps for paragraph 2

Bildungsroman

In your first paragraph, define a “Bildungsroman”. Use material from handout on Bildungsroman.Read the story “Araby” and choose one other short story from our readings. Give an example of how each of the 2 stories is a Bildungsroman.
Watch the short film based on “Araby.”
Read the critical articles about “Araby.”Review the Powerpoint on “Araby.” B e sure you understand the environment of the young man in the story. Why does he feel isolated and alone?
In your first paragraph, explain the differences and similarities between the story and the film. How was the boy’s experience in Dublin, Ireland in the early twentieth century different and similar to present-day Los Angeles ? Use s pecific examples from the story. Tie this back to your definition of “Bildungsroman.”
Compare “Araby” with the other story you chose. How are they alike and similar? Use quotes from each story.
Finally, write a paragraph about the challenges of “growing up” and developing your own identity in today’s society. Do you share all the same values as your parents and family? Do you see yourself as different or similar? Use examples from your own life, from family members or from friends. In your conclusion, relate your personal experiences back to the film, the two stories, and the definition of Bildungsroman. Be sure to complete this final step.

This week, we will read a group of stories about adolescents who grow up and learn something about the adult world. The stories can be found in the enclosed ENGL 1302 Digitized Versions of Short Stories.
Our adolescent protagonists include a young supermarket worker from a town in Massachusetts, near where the Salem Witch Trials took place; another young man from Dublin, Ireland when Ireland was a colony of England and the Irish Catholics were treated as second-class citizens; a young Hispanic woman from rural Texas, and a young woman from the Caribbean island of Antigua. They come from different worlds, but they all share some similarities. For one thing, they are all searching for their identities. A story about an adolescent who is searching for his or her identity is called a “Bildungsroman.”
Please read the handout on “Bildungsroman.”
When we read literature, it is important to also read what other experts think. For each story, I have included a “critical essay” about the story. These are located in the tabs below. Be sure to scroll down and read each essay, color-coded for this week. As you read the critical essay, think about whether you agree or disagree with the author. Please follow these steps:
1. Upload your Reader Response paper on Native American Literature in tab below.
NOTE: your paper must be written on the three Native American readings. You may choose from “School Days of an Indian Girl,” “Cogewea,” or “The Native American Dream.” Please do NOT write your paper on the articles from last week that you used for Discussion Board # 3 and # 4, “Schitts Creek” and “Native American Writing: The Power of Voices”.
2. Read “A&P” by John Updike; now go to the Critical Article on A & P in the tab below.

3. Read the hand-out on Bildungsroman.

4. Read “Araby” by James Joyce. Read at least twice; this story is a bit complex. Think about how it is similar to “A & P.”

5. Watch this interpretation of “Araby” set in the “barrio” in present day Los Angeles. Some of it is in Spanish, but it is easy to understand and has beautiful guitar music. Think about how it is similar and different from James Joyce’s “Araby.”
****Hi, this is the student, I know this is a lot of material but if this is too much, please let me know. Thanks in advance.
