What is your gender?
Describe your use of pornography (e.g. how frequently do you watch porn? are there specific themes to the pornography that you watch? Hard-core, soft-core, violence or humiliation, lovemaking and intimacy?
What is the earliest age that you can remember watching pornographic material? Overtime, has your use of porn increased steadily? Fluctuated? Stayed the same? Increased?
If your use of pornography has fluctuated what are some of the “triggers” that cause you to consume more porn?
Has watching pornography impacted your “real-world” sexual interactions? If so, how? (e.g. has it made you less interested in sex with your current partner if you have one, has it made you less likely to seek out sexual partners?, Do you have a desire to replicate scenarios that you have seen in porn?
Has watching pornography created any insecurities for you? (e.g. concerns about the size of your breasts, penis, or butt, concerns about how you conform to proscribed gender roles-how masculine or feminine you are-, concerns about your ability to satisfy your partner?
Do you experience guilt about your consumption of pornography? Have you tried to stop or decrease your usage of porn, but have not been able to?
Has pornography added value to your sexuality or to you as an individual? If so, please describe how.
Finally, what are your thoughts and feelings about the argument presented by Grant Hilary Brenner MD? Brenner says that porn on the whole is problematic. Do you agree or disagree? Why do you feel the way that you do?

What can you (or they) do differently in the future to decrease the chances of misunderstanding?

1) Using the information pyramid I discussed in the second lecture (data > information > knowledge > wisdom), select an example (data collected by Target/Pick ‘n Save, data collected by a social media company, data collected by a business/researcher/teacher/individual) and discuss how you move from one level of the pyramid to the next using your example. To help explain your example, you might look for reputable source or sources (news outlets, the UWM library (Links to an external site.), the tech press like Wired, etc.) to determine how data becomes information, knowledge, and finally wisdom.
2) Using the “Improved Flow of Information Model” I discussed in lecture, discuss an example of a communication/information flow you know about that led to a misunderstanding or miscommunication due to one (or more) of the factors: poor channel choice, unintended interpretation, feedback failure, noise/interference, and/or lack of context. What did you do (or did the individual involved do) to fix the situation? What can you (or they) do differently in the future to decrease the chances of misunderstanding?
Your initial post and your response posts will be evaluated using the Online Discussion Rubric. Please make sure to link to and/or cite any outside information you use in your post. Help with citations can be located at Purdue OWL (Links to an external site.).

What are the benefits of Halal Assurance System in poultry farming in Brunei Darussalam?

RESULT AND DISCUSSION

I am using a fully qualitative method by conducting an interview with 2 different poultry farming companies in Brunei Darussalam regarding the implementation of Halal Assurance System in their poultry farming.

The data that I have collected from the interviews, I need to support it with Document Analysis since I have managed to only interviewed 2 poultry companies.

The document analysis must include the Halal Meat Act Chapter 183 (Brunei), PBD 24:2007 (Brunei), Brunei Darussalam Food Authority (BDFA) and also any other references that are related to my research and findings.

Please do state the authors’ name and the year of publication as well as the page number as reference. Put it as footnotes as I need to double check the documents and will get back to you if there is any questions.

I have uploaded a document of my interviews with the respondents for your reference. Thematic Analysis is highly recommended.

This research aims to fulfill the following objectives:
1) To analyze the implementation of the Halal Assurance System (HAS) in Brunei Darussalam closely.
2) To explore the potential benefits of implementing the Halal Assurance System (HAS) in Poultry Farming in Brunei Darussalam.
3) To identify the challenges involved in the Halal Assurance System (HAS) implementation.

This research will aim at answering the following research questions:
(1) To what extent does poultry farming company implement the Halal Assurance System (HAS) in Brunei Darussalam?
(2) What are the benefits of Halal Assurance System in poultry farming in Brunei Darussalam?
(3) What are the challenges involved in the implementation of Halal Assurance System in Poultry Farming in Brunei Darussalam?

Discuss the relevance and applicability of the theory and concepts from the readings to your own experiences.

BOOK:The Theory and Practice of Group Psychotherapy By Irvin D. Yalon and Molyn Leszcz I DO NOT HAVE THE BOOK

750 words in length for CH3 and 750 words in length for CH5 Sepearte the two with headers within the paper.
Chapter 3: What is Group Cohesion and how is it created?
Chapter 5: What are the Basic Tasks of a therapist and how are they implemented?

All assignments unless otherwise stated should be formatted in accordance with the current American Psychological Association (APA) style (cover page, double space, 1-inch margin, running heads, page number, in-text citation, references, etc.).
Papers are graded on the depth and quality of your thinking about the issues, the insight expressed in your observations of self and group processes, and the degree to which you are able to integrate theory from the readings with your observations.
Please always PROOFREAD YOUR WRITING before submitting it.
Discuss the concepts and key ideas [and each major heading] from the chapter. Discuss the relevance and applicability of the theory and concepts from the readings to your own experiences. Your self‐observations, reactions, and group observations are critical in these papers. Include theory and concepts from prior readings as appropriate.

Write a short reaction/response paper on the documentary.

Your first assignment for this week is to watch this documentary (People’s Century, Part 5) on the industrial revolution, the rise of capitalism and early 20th century social-political-economic changes. Sociology as a discipline emerged in the social-political-economic-cultural atmosphere of the late 19th-early 20th century developments, hence, the documentary provides us with important insights for understanding the context of the time. In the documentary, you will also see interviews conducted as an oral history which presents real life experiences as well. Please use the link below to watch the documentary. After you finish watching, please see the writing assignment under this weekly module.

Write a short reaction/response paper on the documentary. In your reaction/reflection paper, in addition to providing a summary of the documentary, demonstrate your critical reflections, identify and present what you have found interesting/significant and offer your critical evaluation.

What you expect to be your most persistent challenges or complications?

My Thesis is “Managing strategy and planning for the future is the most important job for a media manager due to the market constantly following societal trends and new technologies.”
First choose the two themes / topics and mine readings for the five most relevant sources. It can be more than five, but that is the minimum. In addition to the five readings, consider the related podcasts for the sessions in which the readings were assigned. The readings need not be ‘balanced’ between the two themes/topics. One might feature two readings and the other three, or even one reading for the first and four for the second, etc.
You must provide an overview of each of the two themes or topics separately.
You will then connect the two to produce an original insight that will be focused on your thesis. Making this connection will be your creative, scholarly contribution to theory development.
You will conclude the paper by applying what you have learned in the course in a personal application. This is the self-reflective part of the assignment. Given all that you have learned in this course, what would you expect to be your greatest strengths as a media manager? What you expect to be your most persistent challenges or complications?
Draft an introductory paragraph that specifies the two themes or topics you have selected and why you chose them. The right reason for both choices will be related to the thesis you will develop and argue in the paper. So, specify the thesis in a statement*
Summarize the first theme and/or topic based on relevant readings and podcast scripts. Remember to specify how and why this theme / topic matters for your thesis. About 2 pages.
Summarize the second theme and/or topic based on relevant readings and podcast scripts. Remember to specify how and why this theme / topic matters for your thesis. About 2 pages.
Connect the two themes / topics to produce at least one original insight that is relevant to your thesis. About 2 pages.
Conclude with the self-reflective portion. About 2 pages.
References come last and are not included in the page count.
*Here is an example of a thesis that I might argue (this can’t be yours, so please don’t copy): “In
this paper I argue that managing media firms involves a higher than usual degree of complexity
due to the nature of media products as goods of several simultaneous types and the nature of
media markets as highly volatile.” I would draw on the readings about the types of goods and the
connect that with the high characteristic degree of market uncertainty, especially the chapter by
Lowe from the book edited by Lowe & Brown. Picard presented work that is relevant to these
concerns, as did Kung in several chapters as well as Oliver and Pratt in that assigned article, etc.

Not counting the title page and references, the paper length is limited to 8 pages in the specified
format. That is not a lot of space, so you need to be tight and well-focused. Pay attention to
grammar and formatting. Sloppy work reflects slopping thinking and poor time management
skills. Papers will lose points for mistakes in capitalization, spellings, lack of citations, run-on
sentences, run-on paragraphs, missing required sections, an unclear or missing thesis, not
including the title page, using any format other what has been specified in this overview.
