background research homelessnes in Tampa Bay area Florida

This work is in a group, so I will be focused only on the area of Tampa Bay, Florida

This project will use concepts from the course to explore how cross-cultural diversity manifests
itself within the local community. Students will identify an issue impacting the Tampa Bay area,
researching both the issue itself as well as how community members respond to it. They will
research organizations related to the issue.

Group responsibilities:

Dividing your group into 2 subgroups, each of which will research this issue in a different location—e.g., Tampa, FL vs Portland, OR; Florida vs California; Tampa, FL vs Miami, FL. For example, half of your group will research the issue in Tampa, FL, and half of your group will research the same social issue in Portland, OR.

1. Identification of a problem or concern to people related to a primary issue of the course
2. A brief history of the issue in the local area
3. A comparison of the issue in the two locations
4. A section that relates course concepts related to this issue, which could include but are not
limited to race and ethnicity, gender, or other forms of diversity

Texas Government Writing

The answer (not the whole document) should be a minimum of 750 words. You should find much of the information you need to complete the assignment in the textbook, but you may also need to use additional sources (such as news articles or government websites). Make sure to provide a citation for all sources used in your paper. See the Writing Assignment Instructions for more information.

The current Texas Constitution was designed to provide greater public control over government, effectively limiting the government’s power. Thus, the people are given a direct say in the amendment process. Look at the proposed amendments to the Texas Constitution from 2017, 2019, and 2021. Choose one of these amendments to research. In your response, you should explain the amendment process in Texas and the background of the amendment you have chosen to discuss. What groups support or oppose the amendment and what are their arguments? Explain which side you agree with and why. If the amendment received a vote in an amendment election, what was the result?
The purpose of the essays is to provide students an opportunity to discuss a key concept or topic in American politics and to show a basic understanding of academic research and reporting skills. Students should offer evidence for their arguments. Thus, submissions that are more comprehensive and detailed will earn a higher point total. Each topic’s answer should be a minimum of 750 words (the whole document should have a larger word count as it would include a Works Cited page). Submissions MUST include one Works Cited page (Note: there must be a parenthetical citation at the end of each sentence that contains information from a source). The textbook can be one of the sources included on the works cited page (sources other than the textbook may/should be used as well).
You should use New Courier or Times New Roman, 12 point font, double-spacing, and one-inch margins on all four sides of the paper. The assignment is to be formatted according to the Modern Language Association (MLA) style which includes works cited page but does NOT include a title page. You also do not need to include the class name and number, your name, or my name at the top of the document. Students should research this style in order to properly format the assignment (see the Purdue Online Writing Lab).
All writing assignments will be analyzed using SafeAssign. Essays that contain plagiarized material will receive a significant reduction in points or a zero. Students may receive a failing grade in the course for submitting plagiarized material. Do not cut and paste information from an online source or copy information directly from the textbook without using quotations and citing the information.

Complete Simulation Practice Rounds and Assess Company Performance

The focus of this assignment is on helping you to become comfortable using the CAPSIM simulation and using the results from one round to prepare decisions for the next round.
2020 CAPSIM Simulation. Complete Practice Rounds
https://ww2.capsim.com/login/
The CAPSIM simulation is core to the course in terms of trial practice of the topical material of the course
The training will teach you how the various business functions interact in the simulation, how to make decisions, and then read the results. You will be making decisions that position your product against customer requirements, building a production process that allows you to meet the market demands for your products, how to finance those operations and how to improve processes and products through Research and Development and Total Quality Management. Finally, you will learn to read and interpret a full set of performance documents, including Cash Flow Statements, Income Statements, Production and Sales summaries, and the Balanced Scorecard.
As part of the training, you will complete the following:
Introduction Video and Quiz
Rehearsal Tutorial
Situation Analysis
See pages 1-2 of the document, “CAPSIM Situational Analysis Training,” in the Getting Started Tutorial for a visual on how to find the tutorials and situational analysis.
See pages 3-6 of the document, “CAPSIM Situational Analysis. Training,” for the following:
Complete a minimum of TWO Practice Rounds.
Complete the Financial Measures Template (See below. The template is located in your Weekly Resources for this week).
The instructor will check the simulation dashboard to confirm that you have completed these exercises. It is important that you spend the time during Week 1 completing these exercises to become comfortable with how the simulation works and what effects some of your decisions will have on the annual financials, etc. The simulation has a steep learning curve, so Week 1 is meant for you to become familiar with the simulation.

Please note that your grade in the course does not depend on how well you do in the simulation. In that sense, the “competition rounds” are a misnomer. You can do well or poorly in the rounds. It doesn’t really matter. What does matter is that you can understand and explain the effects that your decisions had on the financial results, which you will track weekly with the Financial Measures Template.
Complete the Financial Statement and Measures Template located in your Weekly Resources:
Financial Analysis is a comparative process. These numbers on their own do not always have a lot of meaning. For example, Cumulative Profits has meaning on its own, but it has greater meaning when compared against the competition or when looking at your own trends over time. Your analysis in Week 1 of the Practice Rounds or Competition Rounds will have to be made against the other five companies. After that, consider your trends over time as well as against the other companies.
Select a different measure each week and write a paragraph describing how that financial measure is created (e.g., ROS=Profit/Sales) and cite your source, what the financial measure tells the company, and how your performance compares with the competition and over time.
Upload your Financial Statement and Measures Template to the course room when you have completed all of the tasks using the Upload Assignment button below. Each week, you will update your template with new results from each round.
Length: 3 Paragraphs: See directions in Financial Measures Template.
References: Include a minimum of 2 scholarly references.
The completed assignment should address all of the assignment requirements, exhibit evidence of concept knowledge, and demonstrate thoughtful consideration of the content presented in the course. The writing should integrate scholarly resources, reflect academic expectations and current APA standards.

Managerial Decision Making – PRESCRIBED FIRE

Using fire in forest management sounds contradictory.Prescribed fire, however, is an important tool forforesters, and a recent article describes how decisionanalysis is used to decide when, where, and what toburn. In one example, a number of areas in the TahoeNational Forest in California had been logged and werebeing prepared for replanting. Preparation includedprescribed burning, and two possible treatments wereavailable: burning the slash as it lay on the ground, or“yarding of unmerchantable material”(YUM) prior toburning. The latter treatment involves using heavyequipment to pile the slash. YUM reduces the difficultyof controlling the burn but costs an additional $100 peracre. In deciding between the two treatments, twouncertainties were considered critical. The first washow the fire would behave under each scenario. Forexample, the fire could be fully successful, problemscould arise which could be controlled eventually, or thefire could escape, entailing considerable losses. Second, if problems developed, they could result in high, low,or medium costs.

Question 1. What do you think the U.S. Forest Service’sobjectives should be in this decision? In the article, only one objective was considered, minimizing cost (including costs associated withan escaped fire and the damage it might do). Do you think this is a reasonable criterion for theForest Service to use? Why or why not?

Question 2. Develop an influence diagram and a decisiontree using PrecisionTree for this situation. Whatroles do the two diagrams play in helping tounderstand and communicate the structure ofthis decision?

Note:
1. Your Case Study should be 3 pages in length and written in APA style format.
2. Separate title and reference page (minimum of 2 references)
3. Double spaced with 12-point Times Roman font.
