Write an essay discussing the same literary character you wrote about in the previous essay.

Write an essay discussing the same literary character you wrote about in the previous essay. This essay will focus on the psychosocial development of personality from a lifespan perspective, specifically using Erik Erikson’s theory of identity development.
Please format your paper in the following template, answering the following questions, and using the following sub-headings:
Introduction: this section should be a few paragraphs about your chosen character. Please discuss your chosen character’s name, age, gender, occupation, general personality traits and characteristics that stand out to you, and any other details that seem relevant. You are welcome to copy/paste what you wrote for the previous paper, and you are also welcome to add more details that may be relevant to this essay.
Lifespan Identity Theory: this section should be the longest section of the paper, describing two of Erickson’s personality “crises” and then applying them to your chosen character. You may select any two of the eight identity “crises” from Erickson’s lifespan development theory. First, you should provide an overview of a selected identity “crisis”. Describe its basic tenats and how it explains personality development. Then use your chosen character as an example, and apply the “crisis” to your character. For example, you might explain that Bob Wiley ( What About Bob?) is approximately 40 years old and likely (based on his age) in Erickson’s adulthood stage of development with generativity vs stagnation being the identity “crisis” Bob is facing. You would describe the generativity vs stagnation “crisis” and possible positive and negative outcomes for Bob. Then you would describe which of Erickson’s identity “crises” Bob seems to be struggling with in his life, which likely does not align with his age. Perhaps his personality seems stuck in the initiative vs guilt crisis, and you would then provide examples and explain why his personality may be struggling to overcome that particular identity “crisis.”
Conclusion: this section should be one paragraph summarizing and wrapping up your paper.
Your essay should be 3 pages of text, plus a title page and reference page. Your paper should be in proper APA format (if you are unsure of APA formatting, please reference the materials provided in the Week 0 learning activity). Your essay should include at least 3 citations from the Schultz & Schultz (2017) text, which should be listed in proper APA format. You are welcome to use additional published journal articles if you choose. Websites are not considered valid references in academic work. A great place to find peer-reviewed journal articles is the Social Sciences Full Text database provided through the CBU library website: https://calbaptist.edu/library/databases/

Explain this concern by identifying the physical risks that Nestlé faces due to climate change.

A. Carbon About 350 words – Worth 7 Points
Make a cost argument and a moral argument (separate arguments) for why it is urgent that we reduce carbon emissions.
Explain the difference between:
Net Zero emissions (carbon neutrality)
Carbon Reduction (aiming toward zero emissions)
Carbon Capture and Storage (negative emissions)
Notes:
Net Zero Emissions
• Net Zero emissions is not zero emissions
• No standard exists for Net Zero emissions
• Net Zero means balancing emissions with climate-saving solutions
• E.g. Factory emits carbon, but plants a forest that captures carbon

Carbon Reduction
• An economy that relies on clean energy and produces low greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions

Carbon Capture and Storage
• Means removing carbon from our air (capture and storage)
• Methods to remove carbon: biological, technical, geochemical
• We will be forced to rely more on carbon capture, if we do not address climate change now

Research and explain three reasons why Net Zero emission targets are problematic.

B. Nestlé Analysis About 700 words – Worth 15 Points
Analyze Nestlé’s Net Zero Roadmap (February 2021): https://www.nestle.com/sites/default/files/2020-
12/nestle-net-zero-roadmap-en.pdf
Assess Nestlé’s Net Zero plan using four questions that can be used to assess a Net Zero commitment: https://www.vox.com/22737140/un-cop26-climate-change-net-zero-emissionscarbon-offsets
The Institutional Investors Group on Climate Change (IIGCC) places Nestlé among 50 companies with the highest exposure to risk due to climate change. Explain this concern by identifying the physical risks that Nestlé faces due to climate change. Include Nestlé’s “insetting” and “offsetting” carbon removal strategies in the context of this risk discussion.
Like most large publicly-traded corporations, Nestlé claims that its Net Zero Roadmap will allow it to achieve “future-proof growth” while reducing Green House Gases (GHG) (p. 7). Critically discuss this claim in the wider context of our climate change crisis and our economic system, which focuses on shareholder returns.
Most of Nestlé’s GHG emissions lie in its value chain, particularly in the area of sourcing. Discuss the enormous challenges food companies face related to sourcing in the context of climate change and population growth. As a food company leader, how do you personally think Nestlé should advocate with government (on governmental policies and regulations) and with consumers (how the world eats).

C. United Nations Global Compact 5 Stages of Sustainability About 500 words – Worth 11 Points
Critically examine Apple’s Environmental Progress Report 2021 and make an argument for the stage at which you would place Apple Inc. in the UN Global Compact 5 Stages of Sustainability. Note: Focus on environmental sustainability, not social sustainability: https://www.apple.com/environment/pdf/Apple_Environmental_Progress_Report_2021.pdf
Base your argument on information from Apple’s report, as well as information found outside of the report (e.gs. news, sustainability ratings, comparison to similar companies).

D. Environment, Social, Governance (ESG) About 350 words – Worth 7 Points
Explain ESG.
Identify the positive potential of ESG for businesses, investors, capitalism, and climate change.
Research and critically discuss the current limitations and challenges of ESG reporting.

Describe the clinical problem and analyze how both roles would approach the problem.

In Unit 4, we examined the non-APRN MSN prepared roles (nurse educator, nurse informaticist, nurse administrator/executive, and clinical nurse leader). In this discussion, select two of the non-APRN MSN-prepared roles and consider a recurrent clinical problem or nursing issue you have encountered in your current practice. Apply your knowledge of the MSN roles covered this week and address the following:

Describe the clinical problem and analyze how both roles would approach the problem.

How do the historical aspects, scope of practice and focus of the role influence how the clinical problem is addressed?

Discuss what your initial feelings were about this debate issue/question before conducting your outside research and why you felt this way.

Introduction: Give a brief overview of the task you are being asked to accomplish, the overall issue being debated, and your point of view (thesis) regarding the validity of the argument regarding pre-Columbian brutality. Make sure that your thesis not only explains your perspective on the issue, but WHY you feel that way, as this will become the major points you will argue in your later body paragraphs.
Body Paragraph One: Discuss what your initial feelings were about this debate issue/question before conducting your outside research and why you felt this way.
Body Paragraph Two: Present and analyze the evidence you discovered during your research into this issue and how it ties into the overall debate.
Body Paragraph Three: Explain how and in what ways the evidence you discovered influenced your perspective on the debate issue/question. Did the evidence you found help to support the validity of that argument? Why or why not?
Conclusion: Overall, do you think pre-Columbian indigenous history is “whitewashed”? Do you think arguments like this should be included in discussions/debates surrounding Columbus Day? Why or why not?

Briefly describe a graph and explain how creating a graph can help to solve classic problems.

Chapter 8
In Chapter 8 we learn about abstract data structures and subprograms. We focus on in terms of stacks, queues, lists, trees, and graphs and how these are used to solve problems. We also learn how subprograms are used within programs to pass information as it is needed within a program. You will show your knowledge of the topics by answering the following questions.
1. Discuss the two abstract data structures that have been explored, a stack and a queue, and explain how they differ in their behavior.
2. Explain how a tree structure differs from a list, stack, or queue structure
3. Briefly describe a graph and explain how creating a graph can help to solve classic problems. Provide an example of a classic problem that can be solved with the use of a graph.
4. Use the directed graph below to answer the following questions.
a. To which states does Texas have a path?
b. To which states does Vermont have a path?
c. Which states do not have a path to any other states?
Chapter 9
In Chapter 9 we learn about object-oriented design and high-level programming languages. It is important to understand about the different models or paradigms of programming languages as a part of the process of learning about algorithms and programming. We also learn about the concept of a Boolean expression, which is a construct used in high-level languages to make choices. You will show your knowledge of the topics by answering the following questions.
5. Briefly describe the two main programming language paradigms of imperative and declarative and how they differ from each other.
6. Discuss the object-oriented paradigm and how data objects act differently in an object-oriented paradigm as compared to a procedural paradigm. Briefly describe the two object-oriented languages of Java and Python and how Java is different in its paradigm
7. Describe how a Boolean expression is used in high-level programming languages and the Boolean operators AND, OR, NOT.
The purpose of the Exercise is to help you better understand the key points. It is not sufficient to state your opinions alone; you must be able to back up your responses by applying concepts and topics from the text with the information that supports your findings. The expected response length is 3-5 sentences per question.
Be as thorough as possible when writing your responses, and remember, this is an academic assignment, so no “text-talk,” no conversational tone, and ABOVE ALL OTHER THINGS… don’t plagiarize!! Lastly, spell-check and proofread your work! Failure to follow these steps will negatively impact your grade.
