Identify relevant values and concepts with those who work with former inmates, specifically those on probation or parole.

Inmates face many issues with reentry back to the community. Please identify those issues (facts).
Identify relevant values and concepts with those who work with former inmates, specifically
those on probation or parole. Additionally, what is the most immediate moral or ethical issue
facing those who work with the reentry population, not on probation or parole? Propose
recommendations to resolve a dilemma you have identified by applying a known ethical system

When answering this question, it must be written as an academic paper, and therefore, you will
not use the word (I) at all. When asked to “identify and analyze criminal justice ethical
dilemmas,” it means you have to draw on prior ethics in criminal justice courses, the text
assigned, and your experience with the BIA inmates and other agencies. With a hands-on
approach, you will have a clearer understanding of moral and ethical criminal justice issues.

Compare and contrast the advocate role of the nurse versus the social worker.

The heart and soul of nursing is providing care to patients of all cultures in states of health and illness. Vulnerable patients, whether individuals or aggregates, with health disparities require nurses to invest additional resources in the form of nursing skills, time, energy, and mental acuity. To endeavor to care for the vulnerable, the nurse must first have a clear understanding of the special issues a vulnerable patient experiences.
The study of vulnerability includes both vulnerable individuals and vulnerable populations. To evaluate your understanding of vulnerability, advocacy, and cultural competence, answer the following questions:
Evaluate the differences between the two groups and how you as a nurse leader will provide care for each group.
Compare and contrast the advocate role of the nurse versus the social worker. Explain the different roles each group provides to the vulnerable individual and population and how they might best carry out these roles as a multidisciplinary team.
Describe the term whistleblowing as it is found in the nursing literature with examples as to how and why it should be used. Use two peer reviewed articles to support your answer.
Explain the term marginalization and what it means to nurses and how patients interpret cultural competence.
Discuss how you, as a nurse leader, will use the dimensions of cultural competence at your work place. (The dimensions of cultural competence are caring, cultural sensitivity, cultural knowledge, and cultural skills.
Two page minimum with at least two references.
Submit your paper as an attachment in Word (.doc or .docx) or PDF.

Write a passage analysis essay about it, making an argument about Part 1 of the novella as a whole.

Write a passage analysis essay about it, making an argument about Part 1 of the novella as a whole. Be sure to consider how and why the literary devices in the passage work to make meaning: consider any elements such as characterization, setting, imagery, metaphors, repetition, diction, irony, symbols, etc. Please pay attention to details and use a dictionary to look up any words you don’t know!
Your 4-5 paragraph essay should have the following: a clear introduction with an argumentative and specific thesis statement, body paragraphs that develop your ideas through the use of quotations and analysis, and a conclusion that summarizes your main arguments.

Define threat intelligence and explain what kind of threat intelligence is known about the OPM breach.

The security posture of the information systems infrastructure of an organization should be regularly monitored and assessed (including software, hardware, firmware components, governance policies, and implementation of security controls).
The monitoring and assessment of the infrastructure and its components, policies, and processes should also account for changes and new procurements in order to stay in step with ever-changing information system technologies.
The data breach at the US Office of Personnel Management (OPM) was one of the largest in US government history. It provides a series of lessons learned for other organizations in industry and the public sector. Some failures of security practices, such as lack of diligence with security controls and management of changes to the information systems infrastructure, were cited as contributors to the massive data breach in the OPM Office of the Inspector General’s (OIG) Final Audit Report, which can be found in open-source searches.
Some of the findings in the report include:
weak authentication mechanisms;
lack of a plan for life-cycle management of the information systems;
lack of a configuration management and change management plan;
lack of inventory of systems, servers, databases, and network devices;
lack of mature vulnerability scanning tools;
lack of valid authorizations for many systems; and
lack of plans of action to remedy the findings of previous audits.
The breach ultimately resulted in removal of OPM’s top leadership. The impact of the breach on the livelihoods of millions of people may never be fully known.
There is a critical need for security programs that can assess vulnerabilities and provide mitigations.
In this project, there are eight steps, including a lab, that will help you create your final deliverables. The deliverables for this project are as follows:
Security Assessment Report (SAR): This should be an eight- to 10-page double-spaced Word document with citations in APA format. The page count does not include figures, diagrams, tables, or citations.
Risk Assessment Report (RAR): This report should be a five- to six-page double-spaced Word document with citations in APA format. The page count does not include figures, diagrams, tables, or citations.
Lab: In a Word document, share your lab experience and provide screenshots to demonstrate that you performed the lab
Step 1: Enterprise Network Diagram
In this project, you will research and learn about types of networks and their secure constructs that may be used in an organization to accomplish the functions of the organization’s mission.
You will propose a local area network (LAN) and a wide area network (WAN) for the organization, define the systems environment, and incorporate this information in a network diagram. You will discuss the security benefits of your chosen network design. Include the rationale for each of the platforms you choose to include in your network design.

Step 2: Enterprise Threats
Review the OIG report on the OPM breach that you were asked to research and read about at the beginning of the project. The OIG report includes many security deficiencies that likely left OPM networks vulnerable to being breached.
In addition to those external threats, the report describes the ways OPM was vulnerable to insider threats. The information about the breach could be classified as threat intelligence. Define threat intelligence and explain what kind of threat intelligence is known about the OPM breach.
You just provided detailed background information on your organization. Next, you’ll describe threats to your organization’s system. Before you get started, select and explore the contents of the following link: insider threats (also known as internal threats). As you’re reading, take note of which insider threats are a risk to your organization.
Now, differentiate between the external threats to the system and the insider threats. Identify where these threats can occur in the previously created diagrams. Relate the OPM threat intelligence to your organization. How likely is it that a similar attack will occur at your organization?

Step 3: Scan the Network
You will now investigate network traffic and the security of the network and information system infrastructure overall. Past network data has been logged and stored, as collected by a network analyzer tool such as Wireshark. Explore the tutorials and user guides to learn more about the tools to monitor and analyze network activities you will use.
You will perform a network analysis of the Wireshark files provided to you in Workspace and assess the network posture and any vulnerability or suspicious information you are able to obtain. You will identify any suspicious activities on the network through port scanning and other techniques. Include this information in your SAR.

Step 4: Identify Security Issues
You have a suite of security tools, techniques, and procedures that can be used to assess the security posture of your organization’s network in a SAR.
Now it’s time to identify the security issues in your organization’s networks. You have previously learned about password-cracking tools; in this step, provide an analysis of the strength of passwords used by the employees in your organization. Are weak passwords a security issue for your organization?

Step 5: Firewalls and Encryption
Next, examine these resources on firewalls and auditing related to the use of the Relational Database Management System (RDBMS), the database system and data. Also review these resources related to access control.
Determine the role of firewalls, encryption, and auditing for RDBMS in protecting information and monitoring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of the information in the information systems.
Reflect any weaknesses found in the network and information system diagrams previously created, as well as in your developing SAR.

Step 6: Threat Identification
Now that you know the weaknesses in your organization’s network and information system, you will determine various known threats to the organization’s network architecture and IT assets.
Get acquainted with the following types of threats and attack techniques. Which are a risk to your organization?
IP address spoofing/cache poisoning attacks
denial-of-service attacks (DoS)
packet analysis/sniffing
session hijacking attacks
distributed denial-of-service attacks
In identifying the different threats, complete the following tasks:
Identify the potential hacking actors of these threat attacks on vulnerabilities in networks and information systems, as well as the types of remediation and mitigation techniques available in your industry and for your organization.
Identify the purpose and function of firewalls for organization network systems and how they address the threats and vulnerabilities you have identified.
Discuss the value of using access control, database transaction, and firewall log files.
Identify the purpose and function of encryption as it relates to files, databases, and other information assets on the organization’s networks.
Include these in your SAR.

Step 7: Risk and Remediation
What is the risk and what is the remediation? What is the security exploitation? You can use the OPM OIG Final Audit Report findings and recommendations as a possible source for methods to remediate and mitigate vulnerabilities.
Read this risk assessment resource to get familiar with the process, then prepare a risk assessment. Be sure to first list the threats, then the vulnerabilities, and then the pairwise comparisons for each threat and vulnerability. Then determine the likelihood of each event occurring and the level of impact it would have on the organization.
Include this in your risk assessment report (RAR).

Step 8: Creating the SAR and RAR
Your research and your Workspace exercise have led you to this moment: creating your SAR and RAR. Consider what you have learned in the previous steps as you create your reports for leadership.
Prepare a Security Assessment Report (SAR) with the following sections:
Purpose
Organization
Scope
Methodology
Data
Results
Findings
The final SAR does not have to stay within this framework and can be designed to fulfill the goal of the security assessment.
Prepare a risk assessment report (RAR) with information on the threats, vulnerabilities, likelihood of exploitation of security weaknesses, impact assessments for exploitation of security weaknesses, remediation, and cost/benefit analyses of remediation.
Devise a high-level plan of action with interim milestones (POAM) in a system methodology to remedy your findings.
Include this high-level plan in the RAR.
Summarize the results you obtained from the OpenVAS vulnerability assessment tool in your report.
Lab: In a Word document, share your lab experience and provide screenshots to demonstrate that you performed the lab.

Explain how sentimental and valuable do you think art is to the artist who drew, painted, sculpted , etc. the piece of work?

From Week 2, watch the videos (Monument’s Men) again, post your thoughts on what makes art valuable as a response to the statements below:

The video clips about the Monument’s Men indicated that art was so valuable that it was worth risking human lives to preserve. Hitler thought it was important enough to steal hide, and then plan to destroy (if he were defeated). The Monument’s Men did not go after the art in order to make money or to benefit from its value in any personal way. Instead, they returned the vast collection to its rightful owners.

Discuss the following:
1) What, then, makes art so valuable?
2) If you were one of the Monument’s Men and you had to choose which to save, a large stash of stolen cash/gold or stolen art (in either case, as much as you could carry), what would you choose and why? In either case, would you try to return it to its rightful owners? Why or why not?
3) Explain how sentimental and valuable do you think art is to the artist who drew, painted, sculpted , etc. the piece of work? Why?
Be thorough in your responses and explain your reasoning for your responses.

Explain what reliability is and whether this test is reliable based on the “Sample Item Analysis” resource.

Assessment Description
Data from assessments can used to determine if learners are meeting course or learning outcomes. Assessments can be utilized in many ways, such as learner practice, learner self-assessment, determining readiness, determine grades, etc. The purpose of this assignment is to analyze sample test statistics to determine if learning has taken place.
To address the questions below in this essay assignment, you will need to use the information from your textbook chapter readings and the data provided in the “Sample Item Analysis” resource.
In a 1,000-1,250 word essay respond to the following questions:
Explain what reliability is and whether this test is reliable based on the “Sample Item Analysis” resource. What evidence supports your answer?
What trends are seen in the raw scores? How would an instructor use this information?
What is the range for this sample? What information does the range provide and why is it important?
What information does the standard error of measurement provide? Does the test have a small or large standard error of measurement? How would an instructor use this information?
Explain the process of analyzing individual items once an instructor has analyzed basic concepts of measurement.
If one of the questions on the exam had a p value of .100, would it be a best practice to eliminate the item? Justify your answer.
If one of the questions on the exam has a negative PBI for the correct option and one or more of the distractors have a positive PBI, what information does this give the instructor? How would you recommend that the instructor adjust this item?
Based on the “NUR-648E Sample Item Analysis” resource, what steps would you take to improve learning?
Prepare this assignment according to the guidelines found in the APA Style Guide, located in the Student Success Center.
This assignment uses a rubric. Please review the rubric prior to beginning the assignment to become familiar with the expectations for successful completion.

Identify the three perspectives on defining deviance, describe their basic tenets, and compare and contrast them by applying each to a particular example of deviance (one not used in the course instructor lessons).

Choose one of the following two questions to
respond to in essay form (do not bullet point or use some other format) in a minimum
3-page paper. Use an approved font (see writing guidelines), 1-inch margins,
double-spaced text. Use your book, class notes, supplemental readings and/or
any other relevant sources. Cite properly, and include a reference page at the
end of the document (the reference page does not count as part of the 3 pages
of text). When citing a specific chapter from the textbook/reader, use the name
of the author of that chapter in the reference page (I will know that it is
from the Adler and Adler book). Feel free to use additional sources, but follow
the guidelines outlined in the “Writing Guidelines” posted on E-learning. Make
sure your name is on the document. Upload your essay to the relevant dropbox by
the due date listed in the syllabus. This essay is worth 60 points. Please
produce a thoughtful, complete, and cogent essay that aligns with the essay
grading rubric posted on E-learning.

1) Identify the three perspectives on defining deviance, describe their basic tenets, and compare and contrast them by applying each to a particular example of deviance (one not used in the course instructor lessons). You should choose only one example of deviance, and apply
each of the three perspectives to that example (you don’t need three different
examples of deviance). Which perspective, or combination thereof, do you find
most useful for that particular instance of deviance? Which is the least
helpful? Critique the perspectives on defining deviance by way of illustration
through your chosen example.

Explain how specific artifacts/completed work previously submitted in WGU courses in your e-portfolio represents you as a learner and a healthcare professional.

This is what I neeed, anything underlined means “I will insert that part”. There is several examples of this wgu c493 portfolio online to reference. thanks
Professional Mission Statement
This mission statement should be roughly one paragraph in length and represent your career goals and aspirations moving forward with your career. Consider where you would like to focus your time and energies within the profession and explain why and how you intend to get there. (my goal is to be a public health nurse because it will allow me to work with the community.)
Professional Summary
Your professional summary should do the following. The suggested length is 3-4 pages.
• Explain how specific artifacts/completed work previously submitted in WGU courses in your e-portfolio represents you as a learner and a healthcare professional. Artifacts are your examples of past work and abstracts (summary) of reflective writing that describe your experiences throughout the nursing program.
• Discuss how specific artifacts in your e-portfolio represent your professional strengths.
• Discuss any challenges you encountered during the progression of your program, if applicable.
• Explain how you overcame these challenges, if applicable.
• Explain how your coursework helped you meet each of the nine program outcomes. (Note: the assessment rubric for the e-portfolio will be looking at all nine program outcomes to be represented in your e-portfolio)
• See the Nursing Conceptual Model.
• Analyze how you fulfilled the following roles during your program: (See the Nursing Conceptual Model)
• scientist
• detective
• manager of the healing environment
• Discuss what differences you see in yourself since the beginning of your program in terms of professional growth (e.g., communication, time management, clinical reasoning, leadership, sound judgment).
The Professional Summary will be the most comprehensive and specific view of you as a prospective nurse. Write this carefully and rewrite as often as necessary. Have others that know you well review and comment on it.
Personal Definitions
Under each nursing category you have been asked to complete a personal definition of the category. These should have been completed in your Professional Roles and Values course work and should be currently in your professional e-portfolio. At this time the task is to review those definitions and refine them based on your current understandings. These definitions should be no greater than a paragraph for each category but still be a precise statement about the meaning and significance to your professional life and practice.
in this section, we will provide a few thoughts to help you as you reflect on how the program assisted you in your professional development. Bear in mind that as these prompts are provided to assist in your reflection process, you are responsible to ensure that the reflection connects both to your personal definition and the artifacts (a paper/work that the student created/wrote themselves in previous WGU courses) you attach to support your presentation of concept.
Quality and safety
Quality and Safety are the prime guidelines of nursing. Quality and safety standards and practices may change as knowledge grows. Consider the importance of the IHI certificate on quality and patient safety and how you might use it in your future professional role.
Write a one-page reflection on your understanding of quality and safety considering the following:
• Discuss how the program (nursing) assisted you I developing your current professional definition of quality and safety.
• Identify the artifacts (a paper/work that the student created/wrote themselves in previous WGU courses) in your e-portfolio that support your definition – The artifacts should be attached within the e-e-portfolio
• Explain how the artifacts you identified support your definition
• Discuss the importance of the Institute for Healthcare Improvement (IHI) certificate for your future role as a professional nurse. – This certificate should also be attached within the e-portfolio.
Evidence-Based Practice
Your e-portfolio needs to show that you are aware of and employ the most up-to-date standards.
Write a one-page reflection on your understanding of evidence based practice considering the following:
Discuss how you are able to evaluate current primary research and apply the concepts to your nursing practice. Include the following three points in your discussion:
relevancy and believability of data
differences between quality improvement and research (places and uses of each)
differences between primary and secondary research and resources and the implications of each in clinical practice.
Community and Population Health
Evidence of your competence in community and population health shows that you can apply your skills outside of a typical inpatient setting.
Write a one-page reflection on your understanding of Community and Population Health considering the following:
Summarize what you learned about your community during your Community Health nursing Courses.
Discuss how what you learned led to your community diagnosis. (covid-19)
Discuss how your focus may have changed after starting your field experience from the beginning of the diagnosis. (they have never asked us at any point what we talked about COVID-19, that was just my diagnosis that was given to me. But if I must say in the beginning I felt like they weren’t sure how to contain it and now I feel like they’re still not sure as far as the immunizations go but the social distancing and mask wearing seem to be effective if people follow them.)
Applied Leadership
Evidence of leadership activities can make you stand out from the crowd when you apply for a new job, a promotion, or graduate school.
Write a reflection of your Leadership Learning Experience (suggested length: 1 page) in which you discuss the importance of professional collaboration for effective nursing leadership.
Also include a reflection of your Professional Roles and Values course (suggested length 1 page). Consider how your professional mission statement will help guide you throughout your nursing career.
While the artifacts (a paper/work that the student created/wrote themselves in previous WGU courses) will be included in the appendix, list the names of the artifacts to be included here and where it is located so the reviewer can quickly identify all the evidence you are providing. Each of the four sections will include these statements.
Also, provide a short 1-3 sentence statement to explain what the artifact is and why you feel it is a document that supports your personal definition of the area of professional nursing (e.g. quality and safety), as well as your skill. These are intended as simple explanations to indicate to a reviewer your understanding of why this document was significant enough to be included as your best work to demonstrate your skills and competencies.
Appendix
In this section you will include all the documents, prior assignments, and additional items that you feel are examples of your best work to support your mastery of each of the given sections above. Include more complete documentation of one or more of your competencies to demonstrate your excellent work. Be selective to show only your best work. Before you submit this information, make sure that you have received a passing score on each of the individual elements. You may also want to include a copy of the grading rubric for that item.
You will need to include the following materials in your appendix:
