Identify and describe the ethical dilemma in providing Stephen an education that allows him to flourish, based on his case study.

In an essay of 1,000-1,250 words, address the following:
Detail the next steps to take regarding stakeholders that need to be involved in reviewing Stephen’s current LRE placement. Provide who specifically will be involved and describe their legal responsibility in the special education process.
Rationalize how your foundational knowledge of the special education process and issues within the case study led you to decide upon these next steps.
Identify and describe the ethical dilemma in providing Stephen an education that allows him to flourish, based on his case study. Discuss why moving LRE placements is not an option at this time due to the standard special education process.
Discuss how quality data and the lack of additional support in the classroom both play a factor in this decision.
Cite the “Special Education Professional Ethical Principles.”
Discuss how additional support in the classroom should be considered before a LRE placement is changed.
Discuss the possible involvement of paraeducators, tutors, volunteers, or related service providers. If paraeducators, tutors, or volunteers were brought into the classroom to assist Stephen, what guidance and direction would you provide to those stakeholders?
Discuss the legal, ethical, and quality requirements related to the management of confidential student information when working with paraeducators, tutors, or volunteers.
Support your findings by citing the “Special Education Professional Ethical Principles” and an additional 3-5 scholarly resources.
Prepare this assignment according to the guidelines found in the APA Style Guide, located in the Student Success Center. An abstract is not required.

Planning Document First Draft

TOPIC: Electric carsAs concerns about the use of fossil fuels increase due to climate change, there has been a concerted movement to limit the use of these fuels in transportation. The push for electric vehicles has gained strength as battery and energy transportation technologies have advanced, but many hurdles still remain.

Overview: You have identified an issue in the natural sciences and developed an initial research question. In Modules Three and Four, you will practice
evaluating scientific sources and then identify and describe sources related to your topic. As you investigate your topic through these sources, you will revisit
your research question and make adjustments.
Prompt: In this first draft, you will identify appropriate resources related to your issue and begin to analyze them and compile your reference list. You will
complete the first two critical elements (introduction and body) of Project Part One, and you will complete a draft of the conclusion in Modules Five and Six. You
will also begin building critical element IV, the reference list, in this draft.
Specifically, the following critical elements must be addressed:
I. Introduction: In this section, you will discuss your natural science issue and select resources that you can use to research the issue. This will lead you to
the development of a research question related to your issue. Specifically, you should:
a. Describe the issue in the natural sciences that you have selected to investigate. Why is this issue significant? (You identified this issue in Module
One, but how would you revise this piece now that you have received instructor feedback and investigated your sources?)
b. Describe at least three science resources that you could use to investigate the issue you selected. Your sources must be relevant to your issue
and must be of an academic nature appropriate for the issue. In your description, consider questions such as: What are the similarities and
differences in the content of your sources? What makes them appropriate and relevant for investigating your issue? What was your thought
process when you were searching for sources? How did you make choices?
c. Based on your review of science resources, develop a specific question related to the issue you selected. In other words, what would you like to
know more about?
II. Body: In this section, you will use the natural science resources that you selected to investigate your question, focusing on an appropriate audience and
the scientific principles related to the issue. Make sure to cite your sources. Based on your research:
a. Identify an audience that would be interested in your issue and the question you developed. For example, who would benefit most from hearing
your message, or who could best help in addressing the issue?
b. Describe how and why you can tailor your message to your audience, providing specific examples. For example, will your audience understand
scientific terminology and principles, or will you need to explain them? How will you communicate effectively with your audience?
c. Identify the natural science principle(s) that apply to your question and issue. For example, if your issue is global climate change, the principle
you might identify is that the sun is the primary source of energy for Earth’s climate system.
d. Explain how the principle(s) you identified apply to your issue and question. In other words, how are the natural science principle(s) you
identified relevant to your question and issue?
IV. Provide a reference list that includes all of the science resources you used to investigate your issue and question so far. Ensure that your list is formatted
according to current APA guidelines (or another format, with instructor permission).

Guidelines for Submission: The first draft of your planning document should be 2–4 pages, double spaced, with 12-point Times New Roman font and one-inch
margins. You should use current APA guidelines (or another format approved by your instructor) for your citations and reference list.

Write an essay to describe an object that is important to you

For this assignment, you will write a 17-19 sentence paragraph (1 to 1.5 pages) in which you describe an object that is important to you. You must make your reader feel as though he/she is actually seeing the thing by using strong action verbs and vivid prose. Drawing your reader into the event will make it “come alive” for the reader and hold his/her attention. This is a descriptive paragraph.

The explanation for formats for all weekly Discussion Meeting assignments will be held in a synchronous meeting on Tuesday evening from 7:00 PM until 9:00 PM, if needed. This synchronous meeting will be taped for those students who may not be able to attend the meeting live. All future discussion boards will held in this format.

The Discussion Meeting questions for Week 3 are:
What are the historical antecedents to the Administrative Procedures Act?
What were the “old-fashioned turf protections” argued in Metzger’s article?
Do they still exist today?
Should administrative law and public administration be more closely linked?

Analyze a set of elements in an argument (claim, support, warrant, etc.—use Toulmin here) or complementary strategies (how the author uses metaphor, irony, definition, biased language and diction, etc.) from one of the following articles posted in the Essay 1 folder under Readings for Essay 1:

A strong analysis should carefully consider the parts of the original and synthesize them into a new text: your essay. A successful analysis presents useful, interesting, and significant conclusions that teach the reader something new about the text being analyzed. For this essay, your assignment is to create a rhetorical analysis of a written argument.

This essay should be 4-6 pages long, contain at least 4 body paragraphs, and follow MLA formatting. Please go beyond examining ethos, pathos, and logos. You can examine two of those, plus kairos, but you need to include one other element or complementary strategy (see the paragraph above this one or review your notes from class discussions for a list of appropriate ones). Also, be sure to include a Works Cited page, particularly if you do any additional research related to the authors or the authors’ sources. Note: Wikipedia doesn’t count as a good source, but you can certainly use it as a starting point to set you on the right track, if necessary. Each of the writers for the articles has a biography page on their newspaper’s website, so that’s probably the best place to start researching them.

What objective evidence is there that your organization’s vision, mission, and objectives is helping it gain a sustainable competitive advantage.

Prepare an individual report demonstrating that you a) understand the key ideas presented in the assigned and recommended readings for Week 1 and b) can analyze critically the extent to which they are applicable in your current workplace. Your report should be 800-1000 words and must cite supporting evidence from the readings (or the Week 1 discussion). Your report should be double-spaced and use APA format. The title page, reference list, and any appendices are not included in this suggested word count. You do not need to include an abstract.
If you are unemployed currently, contact your faculty member for guidance on choosing another firm.
The questions your report must address are: What business model does your company use? What is your organization’s vision and mission? What objective evidence is there that your organization’s vision, mission, and objectives is helping it gain a sustainable competitive advantage. Only briefly touch on what objective evidence, using the Three Tests of a Winning Strategy, is there that your organization’s vision, mission, and objectives support its strategy? (We will address the three tests in more detail later) Be sure to introduce your argument, explain your understanding of key terms, present your reasoning, and include independently verifiable supporting evidence.
