Explain the significance of the topic to nursing practice.

PICOT is an acronym used to help develop clinical research questions and guide you in your search for evidence:
P = Patient population
I = Intervention or issue of interest
C = Comparison of interventions or comparison of interests
O = Outcome
T = Time frame
For example, you may wish to research the effects of interrupted sleep on cognition of ICU patients 65 or older.
Using this PICOT model,
In _________(P), how does __________ (I) compared to _________ (C) influence _________ (O) over ________ (T)?
In ICU patients who are 65 or older, how does interrupted sleep (awakened one time or more in four hours) as compared to uninterrupted sleep influence the patient’s cognitive ability over 5 days?

Write about how your perception of the piece of art changed after intense study.

Discussion Question:
You can find visual art anywhere! Vast repositories are online, but you probably have art on your refrigerator door (your child’s artwork) and see it on billboards that you pass on the way to work or on T-shirts with ironic
sayings.
This week, find a piece of visual art that you like or that challenges you (“Why is THIS art?” for instance).
Live with it for two whole days. Print out a copy so that you can carry it with you. Study it while you brush your teeth. Look at it before you go to sleep. Reference it often.
At the end of the two days, start by writing a description of the art you chose. For the moment, pretend your
readers can’t see or aren’t familiar with your chosen art work. Describe it to us in a strong paragraph that helps
us to understand what the art looks like.
Next, write about how your perception of the piece of art changed after intense study. Did this exercise
change your idea about art at all? Be sure to include your chosen piece in your discussion board post so that
we can compare your description to the actual piece.

Describe how each of the three dimensions of cybersecurity and their principles of the cybersecurity discipline are used to provide overall system security.

Your assignment will be to develop a written paper that will provide a summary of the following:
Cybersecurity Definitions: Identify and quote three different definitions of Cybersecurity – with sources, where one should be government source (ensure to quote per APA, cite the reference with exact page number of the source).
Dimensions and Principles of Cybersecurity: In your own words (no quotes, but use references), describe the three dimensions of cybersecurity and within each dimension describe the three principles (sub-dimensions) known as the “McCumber Cube” of Cybersecurity (follow APA!)
Overall Security: In your own words (no quotes, but use references), describe how each of the three dimensions of cybersecurity and their principles of the cybersecurity discipline are used to provide overall system security
Assured Operations: In your own words (no quotes, but use references), describe why each principle is important to cybersecurity and how it enables the concept of ‘Assured Operations’
Conclusion: In your own words (no quotes, but use references), provide a conclusion that summarizes the whole paper.
In particular, you will need to develop a 5- to 7-page document (not more!) that outlines each of the section above and provides the details to address the points above.

All text in the proposal should be word-processed (letter or correspondence-quality font), New Times Roman or Calibri, 12 point, double space and standard margins. The body of the proposal should be 5- to 7-pages long (not including title page, Table of Contents, Reference List, & Certificate of Authorship).

The report should also be done professionally and should include:
Table of Contents (with sections & page numbers identified – Ensure the context text starts on page 1, frontmatter shouldn’t be counted in page numbers)
Page numbers on all pages
Clear and consistent headings of all sections
No running heads
Reference List following APA (At least seven different references)

What understanding of the relationship between society and nature is predominant in contemporary societies?

Your submition must fall within the course literature, anything outside the course literature means a fail. You must go deep with your explanation.

You should write an essay which discusses the
following two questions:
1)
What understanding of the relationship
between society and nature is predominant in contemporary societies?
2)
How can that understanding (i.e. the
current relationship) be challenged?
In responding to both questions it is important to
build upon the course literature. When responding to the second questions you
should use different environmental sociological concepts and theories which may
serve to illustrate the unsustainability of current society-nature
relationships, and thereby suggest how a more sustainable relationship would
look like. You should introduce the concepts, define, and explain them.
Motivate how they may serve to challenge the dominant understanding of nature
in society and what changes they might suggest.
You are free to organize your essay and
argumentation as you see fit and to choose the concepts that you find the most relevant.
Your text will be assessed based on how you relate to and build upon the course
literature in your argumentation, your familiarity with and critical
understanding of the literature. Don’t forget that it is important to provide
clear references to the course literature in your text, with reference to the
specific page. Unless it is a reference to a very general argument, then you may
reference the whole book or chapter.
You should
write no more than 3 pages. Be aware that this means that you must work
carefully with your text, your arguments and references. Use 12p font size and
1.15 line spacing.

Good luck!

The home exam
must be written individually,
and you shall use your own formulations. Quotations,
which you should use sparsely, must be marked by quotation marks, and the
source correctly cited. Except for shorter quotations (correctly marked and
cited), it is not allowed to copy text from books, articles or any other
sources. It is neither allowed to use arguments from other texts without
correct reference to the source of inspiration. Suspected cheating or plagiarism is reported to the university’s
disciplinary committee.

What characteristics does James have that makes
him highly susceptible to low back injury?
3.
JC used to take piroxicam 20 mg until he
developed an ulcer. What is the relationship between the two?
4.
What signs/symptoms would you expect to see if
an ulcer developed?

Case Study
James is diagnosed with a lumbar strain after all serious
causes are ruled out. The NP orders
physical therapy consultation to him James develop back strengthening and a
dietary consult for weight reduction.
James receives prescriptions for celecoxib 100 mg/day for 90 days. He also receives instructions to apply heat
to the lower back for 20 to 30 minutes qid, no twisting or unnecessary bending,
and no lifting more than 10 pounds. He
is also instructed to rest his back and is given an excuse to stay home from
work for 5 days. Once James returns to work he cannot lift more than 10 pounds
for 3 months. He is also told to contact
his primary care provider if the pain worsens.

you need to assess for before James begins taking the celecoxib? Explain.
8.
Why did the NP prescribe an NSAID instead of
acetaminophen?
9.
The physical therapist teaches James maintenance
exercises he can do on his own to promote back health. Identify two common
exercises that would be included.
10. Describe
the teaching you would perform regarding the celecoxib.

What are the first steps of the 3×3 writing process–the prewriting process?

According to J. Richard Hackman, a noted team research scholar, using a team to complete a complex project may not be the best approach. However, imagine that your organization relies heavily on teams to complete projects. Your boss wants you to develop a well-researched report analyzing Hackman’s comment.
As you prepare to write this report, please respond to any four of the questions below.

What are the first steps of the 3×3 writing process–the prewriting process?
What is the purpose of your report? Why are you writing this report? What do you hope to achieve with this report?
What is the best channel to send your report? What factors did you consider in making this decision?
Who is your primary audience? Do you have a secondary audience?
What is the appropriate tone for your report?
What techniques will you use to help you achieve a positive tone?
How are you going to ensure your report has a “you” view?
Give an example of how you will make your report:
Conversational and professional
Courteous
Bias-free
Precise and vigorous
